Again EXTENSIVE background checks for gun purchases and continued ownership is a necessity. Maybe RE Register weapons 1X Per year?
Think what you wish. You have been provided with numerous facts and sources that you choose to ignore.
Your opinion is irrelevant anyway. Gun ownership is a RIGHT.
Just try enforcing your proposed gun control.

Perhaps.
When CCW's were first introduced in Ohio, I had a debate with somebody who was against them stating obvious reasons. I told him (her) that I would like to see the law passed. My elderly mother never had a drivers license in her life, and likes to walk to the store, church and so on.
So he asked me that if the CCW law went through, would my elderly mother carry a firearm when she takes her walks? To that I replied "No she wouldn't. But the criminal doesn't know that."
The guy who committed the Hook shootings was a kook, but he wasn't stupid. In fact, I read where he took college courses at night while he was in high school. He wasn't stupid.
Now if it was known that faculty in the Sandy Hook school were permitted to be armed, do you suppose that kook would have carried out his terrorism there, or would he have chose a school where they had a strict no-gun policy?
You don't necessarily have to be armed in order to bring uncertainty to criminals. The very idea that the shooter may be met with equal or greater force is discouraging enough for them to choose another target.
Yes, I do believe he would have chosen Shady Hook, because apparantly his mother had some sort of involvment with that school and the gun nut felt he had been ignored and acted upon those feelings.

This kid had no criminal or violent history in his life. The idea that his mother was thinking about having him institutionalized likely set him off. But your theory is that if his mother didn't have weapons in the house, his rage would have simmered and he would have forgotten about the whole damn thing?
The worst attack on a school with the most deaths was not Sandy Hook. It was back in the 30's where a disgruntled politician used dynamite to kill his subjects.
hHHHMMMM, there was no modern military type weapons with high capaciity magazines in the 30's.

Many victims of gun nuts are within striking range.
Sure other guns can do the same damage as military type weapons but gun nuts do not choose these other weapons to use in mass school shootings.
So you would be happy if they went to their second choice and then killed 26 people? You're okay with that I suppose?

If banning assault weapons or high capacity magazines were going to solve anything, then it might be taken into consideration. But the truth is it won't solve one thing. This clown with his mothers weapons could have purchased the same weapons himself, just like the Colorado shooter purchased bulletproof armor.

My Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun has a 15 round magazine. That means if I have two clips, I'm capable of killing or wounding 30 people. And as the video I posted demonstrates, changing clips will not save one persons life. It's done so effortlessly that it's insignificant.

I doubt it. Yes, there was a connection, but he was goofy enough where killing any children would have satisfied his death hunger. If one person--just one teacher or administrator had a weapon, I believe that the body count would have been much lower if no attack at all.

The one thing in common in these mass shootings is that most places restricted guns. Hell, even a school in California is now using so-called assault weapons to protect the students in their school.

No, but there were guns, and the point is that a mad killer will use alternative means to kill large groups of people even if you make every gun illegal in this country. OKC bombing and 911 involved not one firearm.

Wrong on so manmy points here. No I would not be "happy" anytime an innocent person is harmed or worse.

Sure a ban on high capacity mag would give victims a chance to escape or take evasive action, offensive action or disarming the shooter.

No this gun nut could not have purchased these weapons due to his dianosed mental illiness and prescribed medications.

In your "two seconds theory" a pencil can be driven into a eye socket or a knife thrust just below the ear. Or steady careful aim can put a slug in that gun nut.
What type of weapons and how many? How many rounds of ammunition do you have in your possession?

So you're comparing actual footage of how easily a clip can be changed to UFO's? Now that's a stretch.

Fine, then why don't you ask somebody who owns semi-automatics to demonstrate how easy it is to change clips live? Maybe that will illustrate how foolish it is to believe that clip size actually matters. If you don't have friends with those weapons, go to a shooting range or gun store and ask them to give you a demonstration.

I think I can change my clip faster than that shooter in the video. He reached in his left pocket for his second clip whereas I would have had the second magazine already in my left hand while shooting with my right. It's not that talented of a trick. Anybody can do it.
