<quoted text>If we go to electric cars, the environmentalists would be complaining that we are burning up too much coal to make the electricity. If we go nuclear, they complain about the nuclear waste and what we do with it. If we go to windmills, the animal rights people complain about the dead birds. If we go to fracking, they complain about the damage to water sheds and land. If we get rid of all powered vehicles and go back to horse and carriage, they would complain about the destructive gasses that comes from horse manure.

It was only about ten years ago when they came up with the brilliant idea of ethanol. After the plants were up and running, we found out that burning up our food supply only increases the cost of food. Not only that, but manufacturing ethanol creates more global gasses than burning gasoline alone. Now that it's here to stay, ethanol has been said to cause unnecessary engine damage.

I've said it before and I'm saying it again: you can't make an environmentalist happy. It just isn't possible. It's a bottomless money pit that can't be filled even if we took every last American dollar from every last citizen in this country.
My point exactly!

BTW, the government is increasing the ethanol content of gasoline soon. Notice the number of flex fuel vehicles being produced now. There is no doubt ethanol caused engine damage to standard vehicles. One only has to look at their ATVs which used to sit from one hunting season to the next, and fire right up. Now, the carburetor must be rebuilt and the fuel lines replaced if there is a few months without running it.
Once the ethanol content is 15% instead of 10%. Most people running gasoline engines will have so much trouble, they will have to sell their vehicle to the Mexicans that come here to purchase used vehicles and tow them back to Mexico. Then they will have to buy a new flex fuel vehicle. I guess that's the governments version of stimulating the economy.

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

When's the last time you've driven past a smokestack, SPOOGE?

What is the black smokey stuff coming out of it?

Why do they call it a smoke stack?

Why are smoke stacks so high?

Do you think if smoke was good for you, they'd try to stick them up in the winds?

You ever hear of a oil spill, SPOOGE?

If oil was so good for the environment, do you think they'd clean it up when they lost a well or when an oil tanker ran up on the rocks and broke in half?

How do you think they make gasoline, SPOOGE? Do you think they use chemicals?

Or do they just wave a wand over a tank of the crude they pump out of the ground and presto chango it turns into gas?

He should have reminded you that you are full of sh!t.

The low flow toilet uses 1.6 gallons, and the 'older' designed toilet (late 1970s) used three and a half or more gallons of water or the historic toilets that used 5-8 gallons.

And Congress passed the low flow requirement in 1992 when it was signed by President BUSH.

How sad it is that turds like yourself do not spend more time out in the world where when you run your mouth like this, the rest of the world can remind you that you are full of sh!t.

A couple of years ago I had my snowblower fixed up for the upcoming season. It was on the extended warranty plan which was ending soon so I wanted to get as much repaired on the blower as I could get away with.

After the guy fixed the problems, I asked him to check the carburetor to find out why I couldn't run the thing on a full open throttle to get the maximum power out of the thing. He told me that you can't use a full open throttle on any newer engines because of pollution control. They had to redesign the engines to satisfy the environmental kooks. He told me that in the long run, you actually burn more gasoline because your engine isn't running as strong and you have to use it for longer periods of time.

We were discussing how stupid the whole thing was, and I told him it reminded me of years ago when the Congress insisted toilet manufacturers create toilets that use only 1.2 gallons of water instead of the traditional 2 gallon tanks we had. The only result was you had to flush the newer toilets two or three times instead of the one flush from the 2 gallon toilets.

And these are the same people that want to run our healthcare???????

Exactly?

The low flow George Bush toilet uses EXACTLY 1.6 gallons.

Not 1.2 gallons.

Exactly.

Still waiting for you to tell us EXACTLY what state has the largest black population.

Hint: it isn't Louisiana...

What a shocking revelation, toxic chemicals are used in manufacturing - we had no idea what would we do without your brilliant input :/ can you say dogshit for brains?

If any of these alternative energy sources were able to produce ample, economical energy, don't you think the private market would have corned it years ago? Why do we always need to be pushed by the global warming people to make changes we don't want? Because it costs us more money.
I don't care if my electricity is generated by a hamster in a wheel. Just give me electricity at a reasonable cost. But that can't be done. Why? Because alternative energy costs more than traditional energy.
Let's take Hybrid vehicles for example. The cost of a hybrid is so much higher compared to a similar gasoline vehicle that on average, it takes over 7 year just to break even.
Americans are consumed with cheap. It's why most of our products are made in China or other overseas places. We want cheap and we want it now. Therefore, you show me an alternative fuel that is just as reliable and cheaper, I'll show you an American public pounding down the doors to get it.
Yeah, that's why they only sell when some greedy one jacks up the price of oil.
What would help is this I believe.
Since energy is the prime sourec of our economy, and more importantly, a necessisty for national security, should not the government regulate minimum production levels as well as price?
Still billions to be made.
By the way, did you know that the Canadian goverment allowed the sale of oil shale deposits to China? Pissed me off about that. And guess who and where that pipeline is coming from?

When any nation cannot do away with the assins within, no external success can be possible.
Guess who said that, friend.

No Russian Security Guards at American 'Mass Events,' U.S. Agency Says
03 July 2013 | Issue 5160
RIA Novosti

WASHINGTON – The top U.S. emergency response agency moved to quell a flurry of Internet-driven speculation this week that Russian security teams could be deployed at large public events in the United States, saying the two countries will not swap security guards or soldiers under a long-running partnership agreement.

There will be "no exchange of security or military personnel" under a recently renewed partnership between the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry, a FEMA spokesman told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

"The agreement continues information-sharing meetings and observation opportunities with first responders and emergency managers," the spokesman said.

Picking up on an Emergency Situations Ministry statement last week declaring that partnership agreement "envisages the exchange of experience" in "the provision of security at mass events," numerous websites suspicious of the US governments' encroachment on its citizens' rights suggested the deal means Russian security guards could be deployed at major public gatherings.

The libertarian website Infowars.com , run by radio host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, proposed these events could include US presidential inaugurations and the Super Bowl.

The FEMA spokesman said that while the US agency will not exchange security or military personnel with its Russian counterpart, the two sides last week "agreed to an exchange of emergency management experts to share best practices – a continuation of a 17 year partnership."
