I know a guy who bought a house with solar panels. He had to replace the cells every 3 years and it cost $40,000. And his electric bill was always the same as mine every month. They do nothing, look stupid, and are a bigger lie than climate change. Don't be a socialist.

Maybe some space aliens will beam him up through the solar panels. But I wouldn't wish that on them.

Poll after poll show Americans have little or no concern about this dire "crisis". Warmists cherry-picked studies create illusions of "consensus" among "scientists", politicos hold all nighter summits and celebrities are jumping on the bandwagon with their own 'end of the world' scenarios.

But none address the huge credibility problem that anyone can see.... the proponents don't walk their talk.

Here's Obama's "energy page"...http://www.whiteh ouse.gov/energy

Tell me, where is Obama specifically saying what he is doing about fossil fuel consumption? Not federal programs, but personally.

Is he promising to combine family vacation trips? Is he using two-sheets of toilet paper max per visit to the men's room? What about foregoing some campaign trips opting for 'live-video' feeds? Anything?

I didn't read it all (it's so nauseating), but I found no examples of what he personally is doing.

But YOU must.

Yeah... that's so convincing.

then your friend got scammed....or you are bullshitting. i would go with the latter if i had to choose.

batteries only cost a few hundred each and should last 5-6 years under constant use and the panels are warrantied for twenty years ....

Solar panels were originally installed at the White House under Jimmy Carter, but Ronald Reagan ordered them dismantled in 1986. Obama brought in the latest solar technology as a sign of his commitment to renewable energy.

Obama seems committed to do everything as badly or worse than Jimmy Carter.

That is because you republicans couldn't care less about the environment and feel it is here for your rich masters to destroy it .

Having said that , The biggest pile of sewage waste hypocrite as far as the environment goes , Is Al Gore.

That hypocrite wipes his butt with everything he preaches . the only green thing about him is the huge amount of money he made with "Global warming".

Either way less pollution is just common sense , even the republican loved fracking CEO's wont allow it in their towns

He is BSing because that is what these conservatives do best , Unless it is Al Gore the ultimate BS artist .

Conservatives do have a point as far as if the country "goes green" we will not be able to compete with countries like China and countless others who do not.

Have you ever seen the European electric trucks? They are like toys and a joke , pure inefficiency .

Problem with conservatives is that they find even the idea of common sense less pollution in the air, water and soil a reprehensible idea .

They seem to almost want to drink and breath toxins .

Ca is actually the largest user of alternative energy sources...and they are also going to be leading the world is selling them and the technology if the US doesn't read teh writing on the wall about the future of energy generation.

trucks have a hard time being electric,as they don't have the power. all the more reason to save our fuels for that use.

"

The Bush administration has installed the first-ever solar electric system on the grounds of the White House. The National Park Service, which manages the White House complex, installed a nine kilowatt, rooftop solar electric or photovoltaic system, as well as two solar thermal systems that heat water used on the premises.

"We believe in these technologies, and they've been working for us very successfully," said James Doherty, the architect and project manager at the National Park Service Office for White House Liaison. "The National Park Service as a whole has long been interested in both sustainable design and renewable energy sources. We also have a mission to lower our energy consumption at all our sites, and we saw an opportunity to do both at the White House grounds."

Solar Design Associates designed and oversaw the installation, which was placed on the roof of the main building used for White House grounds maintenance. The PV system feeds solar generated power into the White House grounds' distribution system, providing electricity wherever it is needed."
