Why the left fears Russia

There are 150 comments on the Washington Times story from Feb 12, 2018, titled Why the left fears Russia. In it, Washington Times reports that:

Yes, Russia attempted to divide us through cyber intrusions and by spreading narratives on social media during the election, although there is no evidence the 2016 election was influenced in any significant way or that they were attempting to get Donald Trump elected. Most likely the Kremlin just thought the weakness Barack Obama projected should be exploited to make our way of life seem less attractive to the Russian population, so the brain drain from Russia might be slowed.

Moonie Times drivel. Anyone with a working brain fears Putin, his corruption, his international interference in the democratic process, and his nuclear weapons.

Only the neo-fascist Right want to bend over and let iim in.

There's been no actual evidence of "Russian hacking" presented. There's been the usual lockstep blizzard of repeated assertions and the usual, accompanying pack shoutdowns of anyone who suggests "intelligence" overreach.

The left, as opposed to the neo con and neo liberal Democrats, has been properly skeptical of military industrial secrecy complex claims...which just happen to feed into an already well-underway Cold Warmongering narrative.

"Russiagate or Intelgate?
"The publication of the Republican House Committee memo and reports of other documents increasingly suggest not only a 'Russiagate' without Russia but also something darker: The 'collusion' may not have been in the White House or the Kremlin.

The conclusion of the moonie paper of record is _exactly_ that of the military industrial secrecy complex, which is what you support. You simply have no understanding even of who is saying what. Not at the most basic level.

Again, this is _precisely_ the "Russian hacking" narrative put forth by the "intel" community:

"Yes, Russia attempted to divide us through cyber intrusions and by spreading narratives on social media during the election, although there is no evidence the 2016 election was influenced in any significant way or that they were attempting to get Donald Trump elected."

Ridiculous, and sad that your only defense of Trump and his obvious Russia issue is to do a "whatabout Hillary".

Just sad. Let's see...

They spent 30+ years hounding Hillary Clinton with zero indictments.

They spent 8 years hounding Obama with zero indictments.

They spent zero time hounding Trump, and still managed to get 4 indictments and 2 guilty pleas before the end of his first year.

Just think, 4 indictments and 2 guilty pleas, history being made, for sure.

Correction, they spent over a year hounding Trump and came up with nothing.

Hillary will be indicted for her Russian connections between you light the grill on the Fourth of July.

Hey stupid gasbag, just who do you think does the impeaching? Are you under impression that D. control one or both parts of Congress?

Also, why are you so ignorantly going on about "impeachment"? Why do you just want Ill Duce Trump impeached? Why don't you want him impeached and convicted?

Because you know not one single thing, that's why.

You didn't even know how impeachment is separate from conviction. You certainly have no insight into what Congress will look like in Nov. You're a gasbag troll.

Yes, you desperately try to put words in my mouth because you are a moron follower of a moron pathetically grasping at straws while the clown POTUS Trump makes America a laughingstock!

Impeachment of Donald Trump comes first!

Conviction of Donald Trump for Treason comes next!

Then, Trump flees to Moscow to seek asylum!

Happy now?

I didn't put words in your mouth. The words coming out of your keyboard are stupid.

You didn't mean "impeachment." You're a moron. You have no idea what you're even trying to say.

You have no idea what Senate seats or districts could flip next time around, thus maybe the "impeachment" you're ignorantly invoking even a remote possibility, let alone the impeachment and conviction you were trying to invoke.

Okay, tard? Don't take your stooopit out on me, you gasbag.

Yes, you are stupidly assuming a Republican win where a Democratic landslide is clearly coming. The GOP has already lost Alabama, a Republican stronghold for a quarter century.

Sorry you are so stupid.

You can't even get that correct, retardate.

A "Republican win" is not needed for me to be correct. You're stupid. I'm not assuming a "Republican win" because that has nothing to do with any continued likelihood of an impeachment AND CONVICTION.

All that would be required is a wash, or modest R. gains, or even modest D. gains. Then impeachment AND CONVICTION would remain your pipe dream.

You have absolutely no factual basis on which to predict this "Democratic landslide." You are a kind of cheerleading gasbag who lives, eats, sleeps, unfactual, wishful thinking.

Also, at the risk of dignifying your braying, it is not correct to say that "the GOP has already lost Alabama." It's apparent you don't know anything about Congress. Be sure to contest this last point so I can embarrass you.

The "Left" you cite are still old-school Reds who scream "McCarthyism!" anytime anyone attacks the Motherland.

Russia was deeply involved in our electoral process through a variety of means, and are even now pushing to infiltrate and influence the 2018 elections. Everyone knows this but you and your Trumpist friends.

Most people - as opposed to Putinist trolls - know that 'impeachment' is short hand for 'impeachment and conviction, and removal from office.' Your infantile obsession with attacking those who don't fill in all the blanks shows you for the foreign troll you are.
