Envision the winners of the non-bid contract award at CGI software in Canada rubbing their hands all the way to the bank with the millions the US Govt paid for this mish-mash of a software system. The programmers all put away the Commodore Vic-20's they wrote the software on and took off to spend their loot.

Less then 1% of those applying for Obamacare have successfully completed the application. It is a total mess. Obama should be so proud it is one of his best works. All the times they pretended President Bush was not smart, they were preparing us for the real Dumbshit President, Barack Hussein Obama. He doesn't have 2 working brain cells

This Healthcare mess is the President's legacy. He has lied about it from the beginning. Not one Republican voted for this mess. The President is responsible for it's success, or in this case it's total failure. If it wasn't such a debacle he would be singing it's praises, so yes he gets the blame when it is a mess. It is time you stopped trying to convince people this President is not the worst President in our history.

I've been wondering that as well. Why do they need your information if you are just browsing or shopping. How would everyone like if everytime they walked into a store you had to give your information up just to browse.

There should be nothing but a series of questions, formulas and/or charts.

And many exchanges flatout admit you have NO expectation of privacy when using the exchanges.

I have also wondered about this. The IRS already has peoples info. Could it be they want everyone to put in their financial info so they would know how much to fine you if you do not follow up and apply. Its like saying look at me, audit me. I wouldn't go near that site for any amount of money.

Or they want you to sign up before you know whats in it. Thats how it was voted in. Then you find out about the 8000 deductible.

This is just a distraction from the REALITY that will be exposed AFTER people sign up and discover their actual MONTHLY COSTS and the money they are going to come up with to satisfy the deductible.

To get a lower monthly premium, one will only be covered at 60%, with the balance of 40% to be PAID by the patient.

It is more costly to have 90% coverage, but then only 10% is due IF you need to use the insurance.

But who cares? Everyone is too busy complaining about the WEBSITE, rather than how much everyone is going to have to pay to HAVE insurance and PAY to satisfy deductibles and co-pays WHEN they actually USE the insurance.

BINGO! Having INSURANCE and actual CARE are two completely different things under this system as far as COSTS are concerned.

COSTs have always been the problem and not WHO is going to pay for it. It should be about WHAT FOR and HOW MUCH.

You can't argue with these people - I had trouble the first two days - after that, it was a breeze, and in NY, we have 14 insurance companies vying for business, so it was relatively easy.

And no, contrary to what others here post;

1 - you are re-directed to the state web portal handling the health exchange;

2 - your information is kept confidential, and assurances are also provided.

These very same people had to provide their SS numbers and all other relevant information to any current insurers any of them may have already, so what changed?

Elusive estimates of how many people actually were able to sign up for ObamaCare since enrollment launched more than two weeks ago are finally starting to emerge -- and, as expected, show a slow start amid widespread problems with the main federal website.

The federal government has not yet released its own enrollment figures. But private firms and analysts have taken a crack at it.

One private-sector analysis showed that, during the first week, less than 1 percent of those who entered the registration area actually enrolled.

The review was released by Kantar US Insights, based on the findings of the Millward Brown Digital research firm. It showed 9.47 million unique visitors to the federal site during the first week, including 3.72 million who entered the registration area, 1 million successfully registering and 36,000 who completed enrollment.

The administration is not yet producing its own figures.

It's a hardcore sales tactic much like car sales. Sell the product first worry about the price later. When talking about the price break it down to price per month, per day and with discounts like rebates. If you notice it's very difficult to get a cash price from a car dealer-first thing do is ask are financing or paying cash like that should matter. But just like buying the car it's the fine print that will kill you.

They should give the plan information/price strait up and then OFFER subsidies and/or programs.
