.......and with this ignorant expense, America's children still can visit the White House. Gives Obama more time to sneak out for a smoke.

'cultural' exchange??!! Are we exporting degenerate (c)rap 'culture' that has done so much good in the US-inspiring drug dealers murderers and other vermin? Western civilization is in serious trouble when scum like gay z and his brood sow are part of any 'cultural' program of any kind. Personally I think the treasury just made this excuse up at the last moment. In reality they should be in jail just like any regular citizen would be!

they probably went there to score some top grade ganja for their homey, so the next time they party at the WH, they can all light up.

Imagine that, the leader of the free world, having as a guest in our White house, a man that sings about his bitches and hoes.

Maybe someday his 2 girls will bring home a really dark negro, and make daddy happy.

Smells like a 'cover-up'. Is it a State Department deal or a WhiteHouse deem.

"The so-called “people-to-people” trips are intended to encourage interactions between everyday Cubans and Americans."

Are they really suggesting that these two are representative of "everyday" Americans.

... and then there's this:

They went there as part of "an educational exchange trip ... to promote people-to-people contact in Cuba,.....”

Isn't that 'tourism', and isn't it convenient that it happened to be their 5th Anniversary?

It's not only bitches and hoes, but every {c}rap song is either about drugging, raping, killing, shooting, stealing beating or murdering somebody.

Thank you for your ever so clear ignorance. Anything else you care to add to this thread that has nothing to do with the topic at hand?

Yes, it is still 1961 in Cuba, or more like 1959. Why would you want to be a part of the oppression of the Cuban people by propping up the Communist dictator with U.S. hard currency while the people are paid in worthless pesos, and very few of those; why would you want to prop up a dictator who imprisons and tortures dissenters?

If it is, it's because of us, which was rather my point.

Why do you want to be part of oppression of people in countries we CAN travel to? What other country, in fact, has such restrictions on travel to it as Cuba? Why is it in fact the EXCEPTION and not the rule?

If you were smart, you'd realize that an influx of American goods and tourists would do more for the Cuban people than any continued blockade could POSSIBLY do. But then, you're not that smart, are you?

I'm no professor, if that's what you mean, but I'm smart enough to know that you don't give without getting something first. It's called diplomacy, dumb-ass.

The US embargo against Cuba is an archaic relic left over from the Cold War. Good grief, after 50 plus year you would think that someone would have realized the embargo hasn’t toppled the Castro brothers. It is a pointless endeavor that has accomplished nothing.

The irony to this is-- we trade with China, still a communist country, which at one point armed and trained the Vietcong who in turn killed American service personnel. That’s ok. We trade with Vietnam, that’s ok too. But the US government wouldn’t lift Cuban economic sanctions. Makes no sense.
