No duh. It was stupid to tie funding government to Obamacare in the first place. The problem with the GOP is that they don't know how to govern period.

During the Bush years they spent like drunken soldiers skyrocketing the debt and burning through the Clinton surplus. During the Obama years they want to shut down government and default on their debt. Reckless.

FIRE THE GOP!

It is just a matter of time before the majority of republican voters realize that the tea-bagging extreme right are a detriment to the wellbeing of this nation… Hell, even some tea-baggers are beginning to back down as they look into Obama’s eyes and don’t see any signs of blinking.

The original intent, must be reminded with the deluge of 'Crisis Roll-Out'. As to the when and how of this 'bill' or 'law' is empirical history.
The writers of the United States Constitution would remove this item from the discussion, the way Reid says that "Nothing Will Pass In The Senate", today.

The MSM must sell a TeaParty that represents the people, down the river. It is the loss of power in the State Media, they feel.

The teabagging cons only represent a dwindling, moronic 22%. Try winning with that.

<quoted text>Treasury Secretary Jack Lew appeared on five major talk shows Sunday morning to try to press House Republicans on the next fiscal debate -- raising the debt ceiling before an Oct. 17 deadline when the nation is expected to exhaust its borrowing authority.
"It would be like somebody saying I ran up my credit card and I decided not to pay it. You can't do that," Lew said on CNN's State of the Union. "The United States is just too important to the world. Our currency is the world's reserve currency."
If Congress fails to act before mid-October, the United States government would default for the first time in history.
After Oct. 17, the government would be left with about $30 billion -- an amount Lew says "won't last long."
CNN's Candy Crowley repeatedly asked Lew what wold happen on the 18th.
"I can't tell you," he said. "We've never gotten to this point. We've never gotten to the point where the United States government has operated without the ability to borrow. It's very dangerous. It's reckless, because the reality is, there are no good choices if we run out of borrowing capacity and we run out of cash."
Lew reiterated that President Barack Obama does not have the authority to raise the debt ceiling -- eve though some Democratic lawmakers have called for him to act unilaterally.

It's the GOPasaurs controlled House which keeps passing the appropriations bills which allow all that spending.

There are enough votes in the house to pass a clean CR, having a couple dozen congressional districts dictate to the rest of the country is totally absurd. Moderate GOP , the RINO's are sick of this crap, businessmen who may support the goals are scared to death of the tactics and the consequences of radicalism.
The establishment GOP has to make it's self heard and not bow to the radicals, they have the power now.

Senator Reid controls the Senate, and they are not allowed to investigate without his permission.
