If I remember correctly, that decision was made in 1990, which provided plenty of time to make alternative arrangements. I think time will be deemed too short for 2015.

There’s no question that Jan Brewer did the right thing yesterday. No moral question. And no legal question either. Well, let me slightly amend that: With this Supreme Court, you never know about the future. But we know about the past, and decades of civil-rights case law are squarely on Brewer’s side, and supporters of SB 1062 just have to see this clearly and squarely and accept it.

It’s not like we’ve never fought over these questions. We have, of course, and a result, there’s a history here. And that history, that body of court decisions, says clearly, like it or not, that generally speaking, citizens cannot opt out of civil rights laws.

Extreme, irrational rhetoric from homosexuals and Marxist supporters is what interrupted and denied normal legislative and popular law. This is precisely why homosexual propaganda should be outlawed. It interrupts normal democratic process and denies the right of the people to defend themselves against an onslaught of perversion and disease.

Well, if the "normal democratic process" cannot withstand "homosexual propaganda," then I guess we'll have to repeal the First Amendment. Do you have any suggestions who should claim the mantel of Furor for the country you would prefer to live in?

Gay propaganda is like shouting "fire" in a theater. It also encourages other illegal activities.

Move to Uganda. There are lots of stupid superstitious people just like yourself living there.

Nice rant though. Keep them coming. People need to see how ignoramuses function so they can make an informed decision at the polls.

Sad what the Marxist left made the bill out to be. It never was an anti gay bill. To me it was a bill that said if you own a private business not a government run business you have the right to run it as you see fit. This PC BS is what will destroy a once great country

And to me,we avoided a big step toward a balkanized nation. A diverse nation needs to come together over the things we can agree on, not to infect relationships with irrelevant quibbles. Do you know how things like the recent Serbian holocaust got started? People started making their differences more important than anything else in their lives. They stopped doing business with one another. Pretty soon, they started fighting one another. Finally, they started shooting each other and burning each others' houses down.

That is the inevitable result of everyone putting their personal superstitions ahead of living in a civil society. We've seen it thousands of times in history. Our country's founders were well-aware of the problems caused by sectarianism, and our country is guided by strong protections against such deterioration.

Nope, it was an ANTI-GAY hate bill directed at Gays and Lesbians specifically......but would have allowed far more reaching discrimination in general towards others....hell, maybe even towards idiots like yourself!!!

The Obamaniac is certainly wearing the "mantel of Furor" well. as he bypasses and ignores Congress every chance he gets. As he said recently. "I'm the President. I can do anything."

So essentially you're blaming Title 2 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for the downfall of American values?

LMAO

"Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination because of race, color, religion, or national origin in certain places of public accommodation, such as hotels, restaurants, and places of entertainment. The Department of Justice can bring a lawsuit under Title II when there is reason to believe that a person has engaged in a pattern or practice of discrimination in violation of Title II. The Department can obtain injunctive, but not monetary, relief in such cases. Individuals can also file suit to enforce their rights under Title II and other federal and state statutes may also provide remedies for discrimination in places of public accommodation."

(translation: you can't claim that using religion to discriminate is protecting religious freedom)
