<quoted text>That's correct.Yes,most of the Democrats did vote for this war,and there was a lot of evidence presented at the United Nations.Unfortunately, that doesn't make it right. There's many dictators in the world with WMDs-China,one of our biggest trading partner is one.In my opinion the United States rushed in to this quagmire without enough manpower or postwar planning. We had Saddam contained with the embargo and the no-fly zones.I just feel we are mired in another VietNam type war, with no end in sight. This mess has also blown any chance of getting Bin Laden. That's why in November I'll be supporting a candidate that will commit to getting the hell out of Iraq.Hopefully,in a manner that leaves it stable. We could all have a better dialogue on these threads if we learn respect different views. This country will never recover from our current problems by trying to stomp each other out.Don't trust either party.Like the old saying goes, Divide and conquer.I'm seriousy looking at a third party candidate this year.
believe it or not i too would entertain a third party. our country definitly needs more than 2.

Whats funny about all the LIBS being so concerned about euro opinion, is that as a child I'm sure EVERYONE was told by mom and dad NOT to pay attention to the opinions of the little kiddies at school when you came home crying cus someone called you stupid or an idiot. Why? 1. cus everyone has an opinion 2. you can't please all of the people all of the time 3. and lastly....who are they to label you!
And of course I grew up with "sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me"!

And why shouldn't there be a debate about this dubious "shadow poll." It doesn't even exist- unless you can give me: a name for the poll, who did the polling, and where I can see the results of the poll.
I have posted a link to this poll before.

I am not going to look for it and do it again.

If you want to know about the subject you can do a google search just like I did.

<quoted text>I certainly agree that more people need real knowledge regarding the founding of our country. But don't you think it's possible that Huffington is pointing out yet another "switching of views" by McCain, further showing he is not the straight talking maverick anymore? Unquestionably he served our country with honor in the military, but it seems he is much less honorable as a polititian.
I've already said the following:
"Huffington switched her views on everything and is therefor a hypocrite. I also think she is only looking for media attention. As a Republican, she blasted President Clinton. As a Democrat, she admires President Clinton, and HATES Republicans".

She is about as sincere as a boil on someone's rump, and as genuine as a red $4 bill. She is definitely someone who should NEVER be taken seriously. EVER!!!...lol.

So what was the name of the poll? I doubt it exists because this is the 3rd time I have asked for clarification and no-one can give me the name of the poll.
I'm not ASSUMING anything- of course the military is not "100% Lib"- so- once again- what was the name of the poll?
As I said before... you don't need a poll. Al Gore is a Liberal Democrat. If the majority of the military was Liberal Democrats, he wouldn't have fought so hard to get their votes thrown out in the Florida recount, and President Bush wouldn't have fought so hard to count the military vote.

Common sense. Don't need a poll.

Doesn't matter if a blogger was out of line, ignorant, or mis-informed.

Agreed. Washington has to be nonpartisan. With the cabinet that he had Washington had to. He knew what was going on between Hamilton, Jefferson and Madison. Washington's hope that the next president would rise above politics like he tried to... And Adams failed at that, and Jefferson was truly a party player.
Washington was on to something. His farewell message is, unforturentrly, history to our politicians. If even 1% understood what his message was I might be willing to cut politicians some slack.
I agree with you.

BUT... the politicians will never GIVE up their power. The old guard needs to be voted out of office with regularity until government becomes responsive to the people. The only power we have is the vote, and the right to petition our government.

Clinton was an embarrassment to the office of the President. Completely laughable, and made the US look foolish in the eyes of not only our enemies but also our allies!

No- the original post referred to a "military poll" that "proved" most armed forces members were NOT Liberal. I would like to know the name and date of the poll....
If you don't believe that most armed forces members are not liberal, you obviously have never known any and can't even see a likely theory. That would be like postulating that most people who join the Peace Corps are right wingers.:)

As I've already said...even if she is a hypocrit it doesn't change the fact that McCain is either abandoning his previous principles or he is deceiving everyone supporting him now and will betray them if he gets in office. Either way he is not behaving in an Honorable fashion and therefore should not be regarded as a "straight talker" or a "maverick",but as a untruthful, unscrupulous man and a typical politition.

On the health side of things, maybe you too should doctor-shop for your addiction to pain-killing meds and preach abstinence over the airwaves while carrying Viagra in your flight bag with another mans name on them so no one will know you're a thrice-divorced man looking to party-hearty in the Caribbean?

Or maybe you could snag a pulpit and preach to the right-wing masses that "you have sinned," right after you've been nailed with a prostitute? How about emulating a former Speaker of the House: get divorce number one, then make your mistress wife number two, then get a new mistress, then divorce wife number two and make latest mistress wife number three?

Get off your high-horse. You're not fooling anybody here...
You, "Azjaeger," then responded with:

Oh, jeez...

Obviously, you do not recognize sarcasm wehn you see it either. It seems to be A-OK for YOU and your conservative kind to mock others that may disagree with your point-of-view... but hold a mirror to your face, and the reflection of your bitter, partisan hate-mongering viewpoint becomes crystal clear! It's the Repuke-ian way or the highway!

Sound Familiar? thought so...

As I said in a previous post, scoot along now, be a good little boy and go hunt some commies... senator Joseph McCarthy and J. Edgar Hoover would be so proud of you!

<quoted text>Actually, although I liked Cinton as president, I did not approve of his personal actions. But my understanding is that Europeans couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. It was Ken Starr & Co. they were laughing at. When you take in more $, you can afford to spend more. Thanks to Mr. Bush, with his generous tax cuts & our ever-growing deficit, we are as a nation in deep trouble. This is already becoming evident with the plunging worth of the dollar & skyrocketing oil prices (which impacts food prices among other things). So, as much as I think Clinton made mistakes, we're not going to be paying for them for years to come...unless you consider the fact Bush got in.
Let me get this right, when you take in more, you can spend more...duh..I would never have thought of that! You are saying that it is ok to take more of our money to spend as you want????
