It's been 23 years since NYC elected a staunchly AntiLaw and Order Patsy to lead their City. The Murder rate in the mostly minority areas of the City is certain to SOAR.
BIG WIN for the slothful Occupy Crowd!
Its been 23 years since NY'ers elected a staunchly Anti Business/Anti Prosperity Job Killer.
Very Progressive!! VERY Obama!!
I see that the same way I see gang violence.. as long as they're killing each other? who cares.. less people to suck off the welfare system and bring down neighborhoods

Good for you, lefties of New York City.
You live in one of the most taxed, corrupt, cities in the country. A city gubbermint that EVERYBODY acknowledges is bloated and ineffective.
And you vote in a Socialist. A guy that wants to fix the financial problems of the city BY TAXING PEOPLE MORE.
A guy that wants to INCREASE the size of gubbermint.
Remember today four years from now. When you see neighborhoods being bulldozed like the ones in Detroit, maybe you'll figure it out.
I kinda doubt it.
LOL - what a pisser - some goober posting from gooberville worrying about NYC.

I thought Ms. Summer lived on Earth, but I can dig it.

Sadly, two of the Golden Girls live nowhere.

It's so funny the way Inbred Idiot's obsessed with me. That 'harvey' guy must've really messed with his mind...what there is of it!

Never saw someone worry so much about whether someone else was posting, when, and how much. Do you think he has a wall chart or something? LOL

I knew Harvey. He was like this six-foot invisible guy. No one could see him but me, though he cast a long shadow.

96% of the black vote and 85% of the Latino vote? Well, you can see where that city is headed. Detroit will seem up-and-coming in comparison.

you could have simplified it with an answer such as, maybe, or maybe not.....good for you, paying more taxes without bitching....when you move to Florida (or anywhere else) will you be happy to continue paying more?
I'm happy to pay what the area dictates. We make more in the north east and west coast states, so we pay more. We also receive far less from the fed than we pay - something no southern state can ever state proudly. Every southern state receives far more in federal subsidies than they pay, and this has been shown to you time and time again. Not simply Florida, which I am sure you would target immediately as snowbird states or northern transplants. Your wages are below nationwide averages, so your housing prices and taxation naturally falls in line with wages. You have a lot of assembly work down south, but no indigenous high tech manufacturing / Boeing is simply an assembly facility, no machining or design work performed there at all. Only oil refinery states have any manufacturing or engineering capabilities, and that's limited to only a few southern states.

If I were to move to Key West, or other more exclusive areas within Florida, I would pay more, can afford to, and have no issues about it.

You whine too much for a man on the cusp of retirement. I have only about 8 years myself.

If he goes ahead and makes this city even more radicalized liberal, I hope something critical occurs to him, I've lived in NYC longer then 95% of those who reside here now, and now I will have to leave, BS, the city is becoming more of a cesspool, the assholes who voted him in, may one day wake the eff up, and realize what they have done.

Eastbound and down, loaded up and truckin, we gonna do what they say can't be done....we got a long way to go, and a short time to get there, so put that hammer down.....

yes, you brilliant Yankees drive the economy these days. Wonder why all your factories are rusting out, and new ones are being built down South? Coincidence I guess. And if you move to Key West, you'll be in San Francisco East, nothing there but nancy boys. Maybe that's the plan?

The old money is still up North. But their foundation is in decline. Production is either moving to the South and several other states or overseas. Some on this board talk about revenue sharing but they don't look at the massive amount of resources they get themselves. They will at some point. States are being pressured heavily to pay more and more for their progressive cities and its not going to stop.
