The Republican-backed right-to-work bill given final approval Tuesday in Michigan contains language cribbed verbatim from a model anti-union bill created by ALEC.

Both Michigan’s HB 4003, which affects public sector unions, and HB 4054, which affects private sector unions, appears to pull language directly from ALEC’s model right-to-work bill.

This spring, GOP governors or legislatures introduced at least 500 of these and other ALEC-inspired antilabor laws, including laws to restrict the scope of collective bargaining; to limit or eliminate “project labor agreements” and state “prevailing wage” requirements; and to pre-empt local living wage or other labor standards.

Union thugs beating up reporters, terrorizing old ladies in tents, and trashing a guys hot dog stand while shouting racial epithets like the "n-word" and calling him an "Uncle Tom" went unreported by the Obama worshipping main-stream media. Shame on them. Disgraceful.

No.

We just pointed out another one of the hundreds of Mitt's flip-flops.

Just as the Wisconsin law violated their state constitution, so it appears the Michigan law does the same, albeit for different reasons. In addition to the violation of the state constitution, just as in Wisconsin, we also have a lawsuit filed over the violation of the Michigan Open Meetings law. But to the constitutional issue…

“The Michigan Constitution gives clear authority to the Civil Service Commission over conditions of employment for the state’s workforce. Experts have suggested today only a vote of the Civil Service Commission could enact Right to Work policies for state workers.”

This is the sort of thing that happens when a national organization is writing your legislation for you. But one assumes that the big boys at ALEC did not count on the uber laziness of the Republicans. Surely they were meant to fine tune the bill to suit their state. But then, when you shove a bill through in a lameduck session and don’t hold it open for debate, these things tend to happen.

DANGER

Educate your friends and family about ALEC which is funded by the Koch Brothers. They want to eliminate the Middle Class and impose radical right-wing values on the citizens by suppressing democracy because they know they can't impose their will any other way.

In Michigan, the State is taking over our cities and schools with unelected appointees of the governor. It's really nothing less than a dictatorship.

There is no accountability to local constituents. Soon most of our public commons will be privatized, with government subsidies, of course. The private companies cannot survive with the free market. They flourish only with government welfare.

The governor wants to sell the commons to business buddies, for a song, and relax pollution and safety standards so his buddies can make bigger profits from the public assets, as if the subsidies weren't enough.

These same people want an American Taliban-like social structure with the aim to outlaw abortion and, of course, dissent.

Citizens with questions or who disagree are locked out of our publicly-owned Capitol (built by TAX PAYERS).

Among their great ideas is to introduce guns in our schools to make teachers and children safer!!!

It is a nightmare scenario that is actually happening and the people have no choice, but to SUBMIT, like in the Middle Eastern countries that we hate.

All these RIGHT-WING EXTREME ideas are coming from a state that thought it was electing a MODERATE REPUBLICAN SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMAN, a self-proclaimed "NERD", as the governor, a state that one month ago elected President Obama by a margin of OVER 9 PERCENT. Go figure! How can the people of Michigan be controlled SO EASILY by the exact opposite ideology???? Well, from the last 3 years, up until two weeks ago, most of these changes were on his "agenda", according to the governor, in his own words. Governor Snyder is a bold-faced LIAR, a labdog for ALEC.

ALEC threatened him with a well-funded Tea Bagger to contest him in a primary for 2014 and Snydley caved to the pressure.

It doesn't matter what the paid ALEC shills on Topix say. Take the time to read about ALEC and spread the word, talking, blogging, and emailing, to your friends and relatives, even if they are Republicans, because EVERYONE will be shocked by what they learn.

Remember this is OUR country to lose.

READ about ALEC and PASS IT ALONG.

This just in... Michigan, the state that voted for President Obama, against native jerk Bishop Rmoney, by a margin of over NINE PERCENT, will lose its ONLY liberal radio channel AM 1310, on 12/31/12.

Every MINUTE we are learning that ALEC is worse than the new dictator in Egypt!!

Last night, or should I say this morning, the RIGHT-WING EXTREMISTS in the Michigan legislature was up until 4:30AM cramming 100's of ALEC laws through for Snydley to sign before the end of the LAME DUCK session.

Democrats really are dumb for taking the high ground in 2010.

If these things can happen in Michigan, our country as a whole is cooked, done. It's over for democracy. We are under TEABAG RULE.

WAKE UP, PEOPLE!

SPREAD THE WORD, OCCUPY the CAPITOL!

Among the many new laws will be, you guessed it, laws that make it HARDER to RECALL the DICTATORS.

The solution is simple: if a union negotiates salary and bennies; those not in the union should not be included in the deal. Let those who choose not to join; form their own committee to deal with their employers.

Why should everyone benefit from union negotiations? Only those in the union should benefit, not those who choose not to join.

There should be NO FORCED participation and dues taking from those who do NOT wish to belong to a union.

Support: Right to Work

Time to stop FORCING workers to join and 'contribute' to outrageous salaries of union administrators, political contributions decided by the unions, expensive union offices, travel, food vouchers, vehicles.

Unions = hierarchy of workers those 'in power' and those who work.

Lavish union spending on the 'higher ups' in unions is creating ANOTHER layer of extra cushy comforts for a select few.

Michigan should pull the plug on Dee-troit and build a big fence around it and let them kill each other off...once they do that, they can apply for reinstatement and try again.

Unions are not to blame. It's the a--holes that agreed to the union contracts. And those are the ones that the simple minded voters voted in. America is all about those with all the answers, whinning about the s--t pond not being deep enough, and voting for contracts to enlarge said pond.

Maybe even read their own constitution, not that they would comprehend it it.
