Kevin the Third Grader
A teacher asks the kids in her 3rd grade class:
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
Little Kevin says: "I wanna start out as a Marine Pilot, then be a
billionaire, go to the most expensive clubs, find me the Finest whore, give her a Ferrari worth over a million bucks, an apartment in Copacabana, a mansion in Paris, a jet to travel throughout Europe, an Infinite Visa Card, and all the while banging her like a loose screen door in a hurricane."
The teacher, shocked, and not knowing what to do with this horrible response from little Kevin, decides not to acknowledge what he said and simply tries to continue with the lesson ....
"And how about you, Sarah?"
"I wanna be Kevin’s whore."

A veteran law enforcement officer called for an end to the prohibition of heroin and other opiates in a Boston Globe column.
Jack Cole, a police officer for 26 years who is now chairman of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, said his 14-year experience as an undercover narcotics officer taught him that police caused more harm than good for drug addicts.
“The damage came from people — cops — doing what I did: dragging buyers and sellers away from their families and slamming them into the criminal justice system, depriving both them and their neighborhoods of all hope,” Cole wrote in the column published Sunday.“I witnessed people we disparagingly called ‘junkies’ dying with needles in their arms not because heroin is a poison but because the heroin was poisoned. I did more harm than good, and the harder my colleagues and I tried, the more damage we did.”

It SHOULD have occurred to you that only liberals elevate an elected official to the level of messiah. An inept inexperienced one at that.

Reagan was already a proven leader and put the country first. He was respected and admired by many. He knew his role was to represent America - not just those who elected him.

Obama was not a leader before he took office and put himself and his ideology first. Yet, he was still labeled as some kind of "savior" by liberals desperate to be saved from themselves.

Conservatives don't need or want government or government officials to save us from anything. Many of us look to a higher power to govern ourselves.

George Washington knew the "great experiment" hinged on Americans governing themselves through the consciousness of a higher power.

Communists look to government and government officials as their collective conscience. They neither have to think for themselves or govern themselves and a higher power is seen as a threat.

That's the big difference between our respective ideologies.

No... your actions speak for themselves.

You elevate only conservatives to your 'messiah ' status.

That much is clear. That's the 'higher power' you look to.

BTW, keep in mind one of Washington's best friends was Benedict Arnold....

I would like our government to stop spending like drunken sailors, cut out the waste and duplication, go on a strict diet so oversight means it can bend over and see its toes, and get off the backs of taxpayers and the private sector.

Is that too much to ask from drunken sailors who eat junk food and weigh others down by riding piggy back instead of walking on their own two feet?

I'm afraid this is going to get far worse before it will get better. Heard a rumor awhile ago about some Africans coming across the border as South Americans with a suitcase full of anthrax. Most likely nothing to it but with the border open like it is the possibility is high that something will walk across.

the Michael Brown affair is an extremely poor example from which to examine the real problem of "out-of-control cops"....

Brown was a criminal, fleeing a crime scene, and an obvious bully...

and there is no evidence that the cop acted improperly......

so why pick this example, out of many better cases....

Since we are all making up our own meanings of the term "Boots on the Ground", I say we have to actually count the number of boots.

Your claim is that "boots on the ground" means military personal regardless of purpose.

Unless the military guys are hopping round on one foot, 2000 boots on the ground obviously means 1000 soldiers.
