If I talk about the Magic Negro government trampling on individual rights, you always come back with an attack on capitalism. Huh?
When others talk about the many varied forms of waste in Socialist Amerika's Government, your response is another attack on capitalism.
I strongly suspect that if I were to initiate conversation on the Higgs Field, you'd still show up with a criticism of capitalism.
To a Hammer, everything looks like a Nail.
To a Marxist Freak like you, every business is a bourgeoisie hammer implemented to crush the proletariat.
You need to crawl out of your Marxist Paranoia once in awhile and smell the Flower Store.
Love this post. Very succinctly put.

When you put it that way, I can see why Carol considers herself a good Christian.
Consider myself a sinner saved by grace...think of me as the poster child of the prodigal daughter.

It's unfortunate you judge me because you falsely accuse me of not having any compassion for the poor when they are the core of my heart and my heart's desire to reach out to them.

But I am not fooled by an ideology who uses Christianity to pursue an agenda which is anything but Christ-like but, rather, political posturing for personal gain and power.

You shouldn't be fooled either. It's a ruse.

So why don't blacks vote Republican? The answer is simple. Black people are not crazy. Being not crazy, they understand a simple truth about conservatives: They have never stood with, or up for, black people. Never.
black folks prefer the benevolent plantation master who feeds them regularly over the nasty capitalist who offers them the opportunity to succeed on their own.....

Can we all just agree Jesus doesn't pick sides, God loves each and everyone of us, and we all want to help the poor and less fortunate but have different ideas on how best to do it?

And just stay on the subject of politics and how best to make this country a better place for all of us?

We have so much to be thankful for living in this country which we too often forget or take for granted.

WE have to remember that WE are the government. WE can do things better than politicians and bureaucrats. WE can take care of each other and provide opportunities so others can help themselves, WE hold power over those we elect, and We determine what's best for our lives.

But it is WE who must look to a higher power for guidance and to receive God's blessings. It can come from nowhere else. Otherwise, we will be a lost and divided country and we cannot stand.

God help us to see that before it's too late.

That's all I'm going to say about it.

you stated they were spending their SS checks and were poor..that myth is false.
"middle class" is a value set, not an income level.....

and income is not the same as wealth....

the average California casino patron is elderly, on Social Security, relatively low income, but not necessarily poor......

Which one? That would be all of us. Thankfully, there's hope so we don't have to die in our sins - even before we physically die.

But my response, personally, would be the same as before. The words "In God we Trust" is just a reminder who we put our trust in - and it isn't money.

Just because I believe organized religion keeps people ignorant doesn't mean I have anything against the people in general. They are all looking for something missing in their lives. So be it.
The Pope is a good man who acts upon what he feels in his heart not church doctrines. He has said he feels a close kinship with non-believers. How refreshing!! It is obvious that the Pope's principles are not those of the Republican party, a party that claims to be based on Christian principles. The result has been a shameful Republican backlash against the Pope.
one need go no further than today's charade where the Pope declared two of his predecessors to be saints based on dubious " miracles" to know that the Pope does not share the beliefs of non-Roman Christians......

Nope. Won't work, Liar.
The article is unclear about its data being exclusively relevant to Florida plus it lumps all gambling together:
"The council's blog stated "the largest numbers of gamblers comes from the poorest segments of the population." The council's president said he was speaking in general about gambling -- not specific to lotteries or casinos or to any specific location."
The article's title "The largest numbers of gamblers come from poorest segment of population, says Florida Family Policy Council" registers "Mostly False" on Politifact's Truth-O-Meter.
The data throughout this article is muddled and outdated, too, lending further dishonesty to Politifact's "Mostly False" Truth-O-Meter.
Boy, did you fall on your face with this one, babee:->
with a payout of only 50%, lottery players are clearly stupid, regardless of income.....

Isn't that what Harry Reid called him? What's wrong with shinning adding the word "magic"? Some are fooled by Obama's "tricks" after all.
