But I should add, it's an emotional response on my part. It really isn't in our interest to tangle with Putin over something as far away as the Ukraine.
On the other hand, I hate the idea of abandoning the Ukranians to that fuckn little thug.
Ahem__near as I can tell Putin is interested in "securing" Crimea which a small part of Ukraine__an interesting small part as it houses much of the Russian Navy and the port where Russia exports much of it's natural gas.

It's fair to say that hundreds, probably thousands of Russian military types were already in Crimea and it's being reported that about six hundred airmobile types have been inserted to secure government buildings.in and around Sevastopol. Hardly an invasion no matter the spin Wolf Blitzer or the clown posse at FOX put on it.

Crimea had been Russian during the Nikita Kruschev era__and for some reason he up and reassigned it to the Ukraine__stupid move as Crimea is critically located and fabulous for farming and tourism. And the women are beautious along the lines of those from Belarus and the Baltics.

I say we skip this one in favor of the Oscars__just sayin.

Thanks for the info. As long as Putin keeps his interest confined to the Crimea, that is tolerable.

Today, the Republican Party announced its future candidate...

Bluto.

Karl Rove: Bluto will lead America back to greatness and heal the social divisions among us. He's strong, but compassionate. And he's a successful businessman.

And now a word from Bluto:

Bluto: Grrrrr

Karl Rove: Short and to the point. What the country needs.

Yesterday the Massachusetts state house voted, 146–5, to expel Representative Carlos Henriquez, a Democrat who was convicted in January of assaulting a woman.
The misdemeanor convictions in question are two counts of assault and battery: The jury found that Henriquez had held down his girlfriend at the time and punched her repeatedly in the chest after she refused to have sex with him.
“I remember being back-handed; I remember being held down; I remember being punched,” the victim, Katherine Gonzalves, said during her testimony on the July 2012 incident.(Henriquez was acquitted of the charge of hitting her in the face.)
Not all women like it rough, like you.

O would bet that "silly" posts that the woman who was assaulted is a paid pawn of the republican party. She knows for a fact that no democrat would ever do anything like that, those types of assaults are what conservatives and the religious engage in.

BOOM: New York Times Column Admits Benghazi Cover-Up
Maureen Dowd, a New York Times columnist, published an absolutely scathing opinion piece recently about the Obama Administration’s deplorable handling of the terrorist attacks in Benghazi.
Dowd calls out the Administrations attempts to “rewrite events in order to make Hillary Clinton [...] appear to be leaving a legacy term at the State Department” as well as their unforgivable “lack of response to the attacks,” NewsMax reports.
“Obama aides wanted to promote the mythology that the president who killed Osama was vanquishing terror,” blasted the columnist.“Hillaryland,” she continued,“needed to shore up the mythology that Clinton was a stellar Secretary of State.”
NewsMax writes:
But Dowd also noted that the most critical voices, led by Karl Rove in early attack ads against Clinton,“cloud a simple truth: The administration’s behavior before and during the attack in Benghazi, in which four Americans died, was unworthy of the greatest power on earth.”
But Dowd reserves her strongest, most scornful words for the entire Obama administration, including the military and its lack of response in the eight hours the Benghazi attack spanned.
“In this hottest of hot spots, the State Department’s minimum security requirements were not met, requests for more security were rejected, and contingency plans were not drawn up, despite the portentous date of 9/11 and cascading warnings from the C.I.A.,” Dowd writes.[...]
She recounts the testimony of Stevens’s second-in-command, Gregory Hicks, who tried to help from 600 miles away in Tripoli, and who was given a “stand-down” order for four Special Forces officers in Tripoli who were ready to head to Benghazi.
She noted that Hicks was stunned when he saw the Sunday morning talk shows that weekend and saw U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice stressing the deaths were part of a protest over an anti-Muslim video than an coordinated, premeditated attack.
“All the factions wove their own mythologies at the expense of our deepest national mythology: that if there is anything, no matter how unlikely or difficult, that we can do to try to save the lives of Americans who have volunteered for dangerous assignments, we must do it,” Dowd concludes.
It is refreshing to see a legitimate, bold response come from the New York Times.
In case you missed it, several weeks ago published a six-page “investigative report” which “confirmed” that Benghazi was confirmed by a YouTube video and failed to mention Hillary Clinton’s name a single time.
Stated differently, it was full of blatant lies that even Hillary herself has rejected. This so-called report spurred a wave of backlash — and rightfully so.
If you agree with Maureen Dowd, help us spread the word by sharing this article on Facebook and Twitter.
I'm shocked. Maybe there's hope for some of these Il Duce apologists and apple polishers. None on Topix of course.
