Let's go over your 3rd grade arithmetic again.
(debt)+(deficit)=(new debt)
5+3=8
8+2=10
Note, lowering the deficit did not lower the debt, you moron.
Now, back to reality. The deficit will again be 1.5 trillion just for the day-to-day existence of the government, even if your hippy pipe dream ObamaKare achieves your fantasy prognosis.
Because ObamaKare will cost trillions bailing out the insurance companies participating in the exchanges, it is likely the deficit could exceed 2 trillion dollars, instead of the projected 1.5 trillion.
Dumbwaiter saw that as of Jan 1, his cable bill increased from $60 to $90 dollars a month.
He shopped around & signed up with Direct TV & the same coverage is only $70.00 a month.
Did Direct TV save money & did it lower his monthly bills?
Dumbwaiter is arguing it didn't because his monthly bills went up $10.00. But they would have gone up $30 if he did not change. So yes, the change saved him money & lowered his bills.
Dumbwaiter is just dumber than sh*t.

The massive amount of equipment, time and labor just to install that many turbines into the seabed covering a 40 square mile area would cost a small fortune. And if the wind stopped blowing, New York City - or at least the portion this many windmills would power - would shut down. It would seem. But even though we already have the means to tap into our own abundant natural resources, it's apparently too simple for this president and most liberals.
Energy Storage for Wind Turbine and Solar Backup is extremely problematic. How many L-Ion batteries needed to run NY through the night or during the windless day? How many Molten Salt Reservoirs? How much real estate needed and where and at what cost?

The logistics and costs become bewildering and add to this the very real probability of cost overruns, runaway politics and delays that *ALWAYS* follow these sorts of massive municipal boondoggles(like the Boston Freeway, for example) or like the lingering bitching about post-Sandy's broken promises, etc., blah, blah, blah...

Just as brevity is the soul of wit, simplicity is the core of good public policy.

But Liberals abhor simplicity because it doesn't allow for political pandering and manipulation of the ignorant masses.

If all else fails.....muddy the water..

Why did the United States change from what it used to be, where children were safe walking around, to what it is today?
What happened in this country to create such a drastic change in society in such a short period of time?
Why do you not want to reverse those changes so the children will be safe again?
Were they really safe? Have you read about The Whitehouse School for Boys, or the Dozier School for boys? They are uncovering corpses of these children who were killed by the State of Florida. They were likely poor, white and black, no one gave a shyt about these kids and the families were told they committed suicide or ran away and died.

What about all the thousands of victims of rape by priests that have been hidden for decades? Who protected those kids?

What is different today is that we have a 24/7 news cycle; we have internet, news travels faster than the speed of light; people are talking openly about child abuse; whereas before it was kept silent. Were people arrested for child abuse 50 years ago as they are now? No.

There is no such thing as safety; it's an illusion. The only way to combat the dangers to children is by educating your children as to the dangers and not be afraid to tell someone, or scream and run and yell at the top of their lungs if someone tries to lure them away.
Don't let your kids go knocking on peoples doors for candy at Halloween. Too many paranoid people holed up in their houses with guns or want to poison kids.

That republican aid found with child porn killed himself the other day; he left a note that he had been abused as a child. That's how it starts. And, it's nothing new. We just didn't hear about it as much.

What Obama still hasn't figured out about being president
For a week leading up to the president’s Tuesday address, White House advisers were trying out yet another new catchphrase, telling any reporter they could find that President Barack Obama had discovered he had “a phone and a pen,” and he intended to use them in the year ahead. Up until now, apparently, the president has been relying on the quill and telegraph Rutherford B. Hayes left behind, so this is kind of a breakthrough.
This pen-and-phone business represents a pretty stunning admission from a president five years into his term – that he and his senior aides are still groping about for ways to wield the power of the office, and that they have essentially given up on legislating. Their latest strategy holds that, since a small number of Republican lawmakers have effectively decided to thwart the public will, Obama must resort to doing the things he can do on his own, mainly by signing executive orders and making lots of calls.
In an ABC News poll released last weekend, a few days before Obama’s address, only 37 percent of voters said they had confidence in Obama to make the right decisions, compared with 61 percent when he took office. Only 47 percent said he understands the problems of ordinary Americans. In other words, Obama isn’t tanking simply because nihilistic conservatives are bent on blocking his policies. Rather, conservatives can get away with blocking his policies because the voters aren’t persuaded they’ll work.

Refer to my response posted yesterday.
By the way, I've never seen any so-called "liberal" fraud post any part of the Constitution here. I'm the only person posting text from the Cosntitution.
Since the Constitution was written so the average person can easily read and understand it, why do you think the Constitution needs interpretation?
How about you post the text from the Constitution you have a problem understanding and you need someone to interpret it for you.
Yesterday in your garbled evasive dance you never denied hating ANY of these American components, you merely tried to redefine them. So hereafter I'm assuming its fair to hold you accountable for this position, which is, you hate almost everything about America. For some bizarre reason, in your convoluted mind you determine this to be a form of patriotism.
Sane people consider you a terrorist.

on a positive note..
First Lady Michelle Obama was in San Francisco Thursday for the start of a two-day visit for Democratic fundraisers including a visit with House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco).
Obama's Bay Area visit comes a day after she visited Los Angeles.
Her first stop was a private Democratic National Committee roundtable that shut down the streets near Pacific Avenue and Montgomery Street until about 4:30 p.m.
It appeared the event was held at Cotogna restaurant at 490 Pacific Ave.
A small crowd of onlookers gathered behind police blocking off the intersection, including a group of women who said they worked nearby and had waited about an hour to catch a glimpse of the first lady.
She also walked in a Public Nudity Parade and Twerked a functioning Fire Hydrant for photographers.

That Fire Hydrant was later roped off with a placard describing it as the Presidential Bidet.
