Tea Party: "Do as we say, not as we do."
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Tuesday escalated his feud with Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) by portraying the Tea Party favorite as a big-spending Washington establishment figure.
“Maybe he should start cutting the pork barrel spending he brings home to Kentucky,” Christie said at a press conference announcing monetary grants for homeowners affected by Hurricane Sandy.“But I doubt he will, because most Washington politicians only care about bringing home the bacon so that they can get reelected.”
"Christie was kicking back at a claim Paul made on Monday, in which he accused the New Jersey governor of being too eager to accept money from the federal government. Christie argued that New Jersey receives just 61 cents back from the federal government for each dollar it pays in taxes, while Kentucky receives $1.51."

So you have a two murderers that escaped prison down there in Florida, one for 20 days and the other since October 8th--and the media finally reported it tonight? they signed themselves out. It took this long to clean up the mess in order to release to the media.

Republican hypocrites.
Tea Bagger Rand Paul issued a statement saying,“Tonight, a deal was struck to re-open the government and avoid the debt ceiling deadline. That is a good thing. However, our country faces a problem bigger than any deadline: a $17 trillion debt. I am disappointed that Democrats would not compromise to avoid the looming debt debacle.”
A closer look reveals that Paul's state of Kentucky came out a big winner with over $3 billion in pork including $2.9 billion in funding for Olmsted Locks and Dam which was supposed to cost $775 million when it was authorized in 1988. HYPOCRITE
Senator Lamar Alexander, Republican of Tennessee, said he and Senator Dianne Feinstein, a California Democrat, asked that the authorization for the Olmsted project be included to avoid losing $160 million in canceled contracts.

OMG OMG O'bama wanted this and OMG OMG---look what Harry balls Reid said:
While the earmark is a great deal for McConnell, the funding request reportedly came from President Barack Obama. A McConnell spokesman told The Wall Street Journal that the Senate Appropriations Committee approved the funding earlier this year and that the request came from the White House.
Reid said there's nothing shady about the "so-called anomaly" tucked into the bill.
"This is not an earmark," Reid told reporters. "It saves the taxpayers lots of money."
Reid said the provision enables the Corps of Engineers to continue work on the project, which, in turn, saves taxpayers tens of millions of dollars.
"Had we not done this, the Corps of Engineers would have had to spend before the last day of December $80 million to stop the project," Reid said. "So there's no need to point fingers at anyone.... It does nothing to running up the deficit. In fact, it saves the government money."
The Senate Conservatives Fund is none too pleased with the deal. The conservative PAC called the move "the Kentucky Kickback," saying it insults families in Kentucky who are against funding Obamacare and raising the debt ceiling.
"This is what's wrong with Washington and it's what's wrong with Mitch McConnell," the Senate Conservatives Fund said in a statement.
McConnell is going to be done. He will be replaced with a Conservative. You are barking up the wrong tree doggy when you try to bring Rand Paul into this equation.

Dems, think delaying the debate to another day is a victory.
The majority of people wants the government to cut spending. The Dems increasing spending with new programs is not something that is going to happen in 2014.
How it can be when the "givverment" gets involved-:

Twenty People that might need..oh say...an xray...w/private sector employer ins-get one scheduled, and have ONE done on scheduled appt day...results fwd to appropriate requesting whatever.

Involve the givverment-get one scheduled, scheduled appts will be rescheduled to "save time", people comply...get rescheduled...keep rescheduled appts. Follow up with scheduled results supposed to already be on hand as req'd to "save time"...all people have to redo previoulsy completed xrays due to inability of givverment agencies to locate perviously completed tasks.
But not to worry ppl...caurze "it's FWEEEEE" by golly.

Obama said it was "unpatriotic" to raise the debt ceiling when Bush was president.
Who's the hypocrite?
Dweeb.
"Barack Obama's 2006 vote against raising the debt ceiling has achieved something like totemic status among the hypocrisy-obsessed people of the world. It was a silly thing of him to do. But it's genuinely worth taking the time to read the statement he made about his vote at the time. Not because it's an insightful piece of statesmanship, but because it's so silly.

Here in the first graf, he says that thanks to the Bush tax cuts the deficit is too high and that thanks to Bush's determination to extend the Bush tax cuts, he proposes future deficits that are too high:
The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Over the past 5 years, our federal debt has increased by $3.5 trillion to $8.6 trillion. That is ‘‘trillion’’ with a ‘‘T.’’ That is money that we have borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, borrowed from China and Japan, borrowed from American taxpayers. And over the next 5 years, between now and 2011, the President’s budget will increase the debt by almost another $3.5 trillion.
Then he sort of drones on for a while about the evils of budget deficits, making a bunch of overstated claims on this subject. He also discusses some of the deficit-reducing measures that he favors. Then he closes with a non-sequitur:

Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘‘the buck stops here.’’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.
I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.
"This is just rank demagoguery."

And now the same silly idiot is President--how's that working out? not so good....
