The government won’t be able to verify whether or not applicants for Obamacare’s insurance exchange subsidies are actually qualified for the aid in the 16 states that are setting up their own exchanges. Instead, until at least 2015, these states will be able to “accept the applicant’s attestation regarding eligibility without further verification.”
The government is going with what Kliff and Somashekhar call “the honor system.”
“We have concluded that the…proposed rule is not feasible for implementation for the first year of operations,” say the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.“The exchange may accept the applicant’s attestation regarding enrollment in an eligible employer-sponsored plan…without further verification instead of following the procedure in §155.320(d)(3)(iii).”
...Would you support that if this were RepubliCare?
Or how about if a Republican president changed the law - his own law - on a whim every time you turned around because he decided to on his own?
LOL. This was the direct result of RepubliCare. Without the employer mandate employers are no longer going to report whether or not they’ve offered “affordable” coverage so the government can't verify whether or not workers are eligible for subsidies. You caused it. You own it.

You are definitely the king of one liners tonight. Good job.

It's official, as Reid said, House Republicans have lost their minds.“They keep trying to do the same thing over and over again.”

I haven't heard anyone here express an intention to buy insurance on the exchange except for Galt who plans on waiting until he gets sick.
The liberal minded people on this thread have been speaking out in support of health insurance for the less fortunate, not themselves. You are just too preoccupied with yourself to understand the difference.
Wow, that's really kind of you. Why dont you get them all a bed of nails while you're at it....

GOP Moderates revolt but can't avert Government shut-down. Moderate Republicans know come election time Republicans will reap what they sew. A huge loss for Congress and any chance at a Presidential bid. The will of the people will have such a back lash against the Republicans they will be felt for years. Sad such a Grand Old Party is going to hell with their back broke.

It's a good thing these Republican tea baggers have shut-down the government. Any sleepers left in the US with the Al Queda group will enjoy a free run at any airport now. Those Republicans are such patriots!

Better still, Obama has new targets for his drone program. The new enemies of the state are all tea party republicans. Lets hope they have health care!

Speaking of Drone boy:

Remember in Dec. 2011 Iran was showing off their captured US drone? Now we hear: "Iran's Revolutionary Guard unveils attack drone"

Clinton traded US military secrets to China for campaign funding, cash to build his Presidential Library, and furnishing for his Chappaqua, NY mansion.

What's Obama getting for parking a drone in Tehran?
