No one has ever tried to take anyone's second amendment rights away. That's an excuse only, and meant to scare people. Republicans are basically a cowardly bunch to begin with. They want us to fight wars everywhere just as long as it's someone elses son or daughter doing the dying..Take Fox station for example...You would be hard pressed to find one military man or woman that works there...Yet they are war mongers galore. Republicans are getting less popular daily and they can only blame their own fanaticism.
It seems you think there are two sets or rights for Americans. First class citizens, those members of the ruling elite, seem to be exempted from the edict Obama issued to the population when he declared himself the dictator and used his unconstitutional authority to write his own laws to suit his whim.

Please post the text from the Constitution that defines the rights of the ruling elite as being different than the rights Americans not included in the ruling elite.
Or, declare yourself and Obama as rebels in oppositoion to the government of the United States with the intent of ending the existence of the constitutional republic.

One, or the other is true here.

Republicans are threatening to impeach Obama over executive action on gun control, but many presidents have issued executive orders on gun control, including George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
First Larry Pratt went impeachment nuts and then yesterday, Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) threatened that he would file articles of impeachment against President Barack Obama if he uses the power of his office to address gun control.
Stockman, who must not be familiar with the Constitution or history, claimed an executive order would be “unconstitutional” and “infringe on our constitutionally-protected right to keep and bear arms.” Stockman seems to get his news from the Daily Caller, Drudge and Fox News, because he believes,“If the president is allowed to suspend constitutional rights on his own personal whims, our free republic has effectively ceased to exist.”
President Obama hinted he might use executive action to address gun violence in his presser Monday. And then, Monday night Rep. Jackie Speier told Chris Matthews of MSNBC,“Vice President Joe Biden indicated there were some 19 areas he was able to identify that the president could take action on through executive order. He didn’t go into detail on what they might be, but suffice it to say, there will be some considered that will not require Congressional action.”
This translates in Republicanese to the demise of our Republic, also known as a Democrat not even using all of the executive power Republicans grant to their own party when they’re in power. Republicans are apparently unfamiliar with the constitutional legitimacy of using the executive office in this manner. Here are the facts:
In 1952, the Supreme Court ruled that executive orders could not make new law. Executive orders are therefore supposed to be about enforcing a current law or helping manage the enforcement of a current law. This is a matter of interpretation, and subject to argument on both sides. Whatever the President does, it will no doubt end up being challenged and argued in court (as it should be).
....But Obama could also follow George W. Bush’s example and use the “security” of the nation in order to justify just about any law he wanted to impose regarding gun safety (I’m not advocating this, but it’s worth mentioning since Republicans don’t seem to understand how their abuses of power can be used against them later).
Obama, a constitutional lawyer, appears to have used his executive power well within the law for gun regulation so far. Reuters reports,“A federal appeals court signaled on Wednesday it was prepared to uphold a regulation designed to detect the sale of semi-automatic rifles to Mexican drug cartels, one of the few gun control measures put forward so far by the Obama administration.” Republicans have also tried to defund this gun reporting regulation.
It's a simple case. The president is the Chief Executive. The limit to the president's authority is the limit of the Executive Branch of government.
The Constitution prohibits the president from issuing edicts to the population.
The only legitimate commands to the population must come in the form of a law enacted in accordance with the Constitution.
According to the Constitution, the executive orders issuing commands to any entity outside the Executive Branch of government isn't worth the paper it's written on.
Should the president use his position to make himself some kind of third world dictator, that constitutes rebellion against the government of the United States.
Anyone who ever read the Constitution knows that, dufus.

Now, what words will Obama repeat...
"... uphold, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution...."

It would really help if Obama had ever even read the Constitution at some point in time in his life.

This particular Topic could be - indeed has been - deemed out-of-date or "dead" since November 4th, 2008. However, persuant of common OPINION, it has remained one of the more-popular Topix to this day. At this point in time, over four years after the topic's origin and considering none of the facts will change for another four years (making for an estimated eight-year lifecycle), TRS is presenting the following reminders of FACT-

Barack Hussein Obama II is the 44th and current President of the United States. He is the first African American to hold the office. Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was president of the Harvard Law Review.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii USA on August 4, 1961, he served three terms representing the 13th District in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004, running unsuccessfully for the United States House of Representatives in 2000.

He began his presidential campaign in 2007, and in 2008, after a close primary campaign against Hillary Rodham Clinton, he won sufficient delegates in the Democratic party primaries to receive the presidential nomination. He then defeated Republican nominee John McCain in the general election, and was inaugurated as president on January 20, 2009. Nine months later, Obama was named the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

Obama was re-elected president in November 2012, defeating Republican nominee Mitt Romney. He is the first two-term Democrat POTUS since Franklin D. Roosevelt to win two presidential elections with a majority of the popular vote.

On February 17, 2009, Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, a $787,000,000,000 economic stimulus package aimed at helping the economy recover from the deepening worldwide recession, thereby continuing an economic aid policy first instituted under the preceding (Republican) President George W. Bush.

Domestic policy items include the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act AKA Obama Care, signed into law on March 23, 2010. In May 2012, he became the first sitting U.S. president to publicly support legalizing same-sex marriage. Sixteen years earlier, in 1996 as a candidate for the Illinois state senate, Obama had said that he was in favor of same.

Notable foreign policy items include the draw-down of troops in Afghanistan and the end of military operations in Iraq as of August 31, 2010. On March 16, 2011, he authorized the U.S. Military to engage in air strikes against Libya's governmental air defense capabilities in order to protect civilians and enforce a no-fly zone. On May 1, 2011, Obama authorized a "surgical raid" by United States Navy SEALs in Abbottabad, Pakistan, resulting in the death of international terrorist and al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and the seizure of papers, computer drives and disks from bin Laden's compound.

The Bible and Government
Biblical Principles: Basis for America's Laws
Sovereign authority of God, not sovereignty of the state, or sovereignty of man
Mayflower Compact, Declaration, Constitution, currency, oaths, mention of God in all 50 state constitutions, Pledge of Allegiance
Ex. 18:16, 20:3, Dt. 10:20, 2 Chron. 7:14, Ps. 83:18, 91:2, Isa. 9:6-7, Dan. 4:32, Jn. 19:11, Acts 5:29, Rom. 13:1, Col. 1:15-20, 1 Tim. 6:15
Republican form of government and warnings against kings but in favor of Godly rulers
Ex. 18:21, Dt. 1:13, Jud. 8:22-23, 1 Sam. 8, Pr. 11:14, 24:6
To understand why some of these passages above are applicable to our laws, one has to go back to the formative era of our nation and to America's culture and thinking at the time. The leaders of the various colonies, states, and ultimately the Founding Fathers themselves were steeped in biblical thinking. They drew from the Bible examples and looked for confirmation of ideas for government in Scripture.
We had an atheist visit our site and expressed a good bit of displeasure with some of the above citations. We responded that he should relish the freedom of expression that a Christian culture put in place for him. And that he should be thankful that our culture was not founded on atheism, given the horrible result of atheistic governments in the past (such as Communist Russia, etc.).
Jesus did not usher in a political kingdom. But Christianity has been the single largest influence on western society. America's Founding Fathers had the benefit of thousands of years of history to draw on when establishing their government.
So you know what your forefathers was thinking when they wrote the constitution huh! Albert Einstein: straight atheist, George washington: a known member of freemasons & according to the bible, you can only serve 1 master. Both played major roles in writing the constitution & neither were christian by biblical standards. It's almost blasphemy to even consider the thought. They were all thieves, rapist, & mass murderers. They nearly wiped out an entire population thought disease & murder. They not only slaughtered the indians & enslave the africans, but they turned honest work into business off the backs of others by stealing all of their natural resources. Now, christianity meaning"of Christ or like Christ/Christ like", one would assume that you were inferring that Jesus Christ would've been a raping, slave owning, land stealing, murderer & that country be further from thee truth!

Pregnant women in one southwestern Pennsylvania town will soon need to look elsewhere to deliver their babies, after a local hospital announced it will end the practice in March --

blaming ObamaCare in part for the decision.

The Windber Medical Center will stop delivering babies after March 31 because its obstetricians are either leaving or refocusing their practices, and because hospital officials believe they can't afford it based on projected reimbursements under looming federal health care reforms.

The hospital, about 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, is losing two obstetricians and two others are shifting their focus more to gynecology.
