Hi-Ya Da-Vey,

That's a lie. There weren't that many people in Lancaster County when you ran for school board.

Polls: Cell phone users prefer Obama, landline users like Romney

Political pollsters have been under pressure to make sure their samples include Americans who rely solely on cell phones—and the latest NBC News/Marist polls of Florida, Ohio and Virginia exhibit why.

As NBC's First Read flags, Romney narrowly pulls ahead in Florida among voters who were polled over landlines—48 percent to 45 percent. But among cell phone respondents only, Obama has a major lead: 57 percent to 34 percent.

In Virginia, the results are similar: Romney leads by 1 point among voters polled over landlines: 47 percent to 46 percent. Meanwhile, Obama has the advantage with cell phone respondents: 54 percent to 36 percent.

In Ohio, Obama does better among both landline respondents--44 percent to Romney's 41 percent--and cell phone users--47 percent to Romney's 37 percent.

According to the poll, 28 percent of its respondents in Ohio and Florida were cell phone users, compared to 27 percent in Virginia.

1) Tom Ridge, ever heard of him. Just checking. The Governorship has been alternating Rep - Dem for years.
2) The Democrats were funding schools better under Rendell. What court said Democrats weren't funding schools enough?
3) You real estate taxes are typically based on assessed valuation, not market value. They take into account sq footage, number of bathrooms etc ec etc.
4) When you home evaluation went up before the housing bubble burst, were you complaining that your taxes did not go up enough?
"Real Dave"
I was talking about the state of Washington. The governorship has not been alternating Rep - Dem. Same with the legislature it is solidly democrat.
The state supreme court said the state was not properly funding education
The assessed value of my home has went down, sharply, my taxes have went up
I never complain when my taxes do not go up, just once I would like to see them go down. I am a selfish sonofabitch.

At one time, this was not the case.
Stockholders were sharing in a profit & the executives running the companies were building for long term success. Like Stockholders were along for the ride.
Now Stockholders call the shots. They insist management runs the companies for short term profits.
This is killing America & destroying our corporations. It makes us non competitive because it is more profitable to pump up a company short term & sell your stock than invest in long term research & development.
Then when they are no longer competitive they blame the workers - they make too much, have too many benefits and OMG the retirement plan.
I don't know what the answer is but this has become a major problem and will doom America.

Speaking of CEO's and their responsibility to the shareholders: this is what happens with health insurance companies; these vultures are paid to show a profit; how do they show a profit?
by denying services and procedures to fools like you.
And what sacrifices has this country's ceo made?

You just do not get it. president nobama has not offered a budget, he offers fantasies that are unable to get a single vote in congress or the congress refuses to even consider them. Answer me on this;
- Why have two have his budgets not even brought up in the senate?
- Why did the other two budgets, the ones voted on get nary a yes vote?

Hard to figure where they have cut. Spending has not decreased. States got a real problem about a 2 billion dollar shortfall. New business is not coming into the state. Reason, the state is not business friendly. But what the hell the jobs and boost to the economies is no big deal. Hell Boeing has been headquartered in this state since it's inception, and they opened a plant in South Carolina, apparently a more business friendly state. The cost for K-12 education goes up every year and the level of accomplishment goes down every year. See few if any reductions in cops, firefighters or teachers in the labor force but costs go up with mandated raises while students achievement goes down.

PS: WTH is "fresman"?
Obviously, the tablet has a sticky h...as to the other questions, I'm unfamiliar with your system of funding education--all states are different--but here, the federal government funds (including grants for all kinds of things) have been cut, while the state experienced less revenues (partially from tax cuts to corporations to try to lure them to come or stay), and the citizens usually feeling the pinch, just didn't vote to increase their payments. We have had RIF's and programs disappeared as well as foregoing raises and seniority steps. I don't think the issue can all be one man's fault after three years with a NO-help congress, but apparently others do.

I initially commented on a Flack post and I guess it was kind of assumed on my part (my bad), I mean why would Flack care if some guy in China or Korea lost his job? It kinda spiralled from there, but no I would not think these were all American jobs, I'd be curious to see how many are.
