How might that happen? If you are confronting me with a weapon in your hand, what mistake could be made about your intentions? If your intentions aren't to do violence on me, why would you be confronting me with a weapon in your hand?

Sad, but true. The numbers do not lie. And what is sad for African-American's, is that it is mostly black on black violence.

I don't have a "right" to point a firearm at you - unless you are coming at me with a weapon. Are you a paranoid schizophrenic?

No it wasn't As you said the wealthy have(and always will) oppressed the poor. Our structure is no different, in that regard. What our structure does is mask the "wealthy" (you dont know who exactly they are) and sell a dream of "equality" and "freedom" that in reality doesnt exist.
<quoted text>
Bribe? No. Who do these people work for? How many $10k campaign dinners have you attended? If you put in a call to your congressmen, or your governor, does he/she take your call? If you invite your Senator to your house for dinner to discuss your ideas for a new bill does he/she show up? They dont work for "We The People", "We The People" work for them.
<quoted text>
The only off-kilter thought here is your sore mouth about that "democratic party". The party system is just another ruse to keep you distracted. Are you any less oppressed under obama than you were under bush? If you really think so, how? Im going to go out on a limb and say that your life ultimately had no marked change comparatively. Remember dazzled with bullshit and nonsense.....

You must remember that, while we all have the unalienable right of self defense, one is only justified in using deadly force when threatened with deadly force. It's really not that complicated.
You suspected rightly.

It appears blatant ignorance is your forte.

"We established, however, some although not all its important principles. The constitutions of most of our States assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves, in all cases to which they think themselves competent (as in electing their functionaries executive and legislative, and deciding by a jury of themselves, in all judiciary cases in which any fact is involved), or they may act by representatives, freely and equally chosen; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person,freedom of religion, freedom of property, and freedom of the press."--Thomas Jefferson, To John Cartwright. vii, 356.(M., 1824.)(Jefferson Cyclopedia).

Support drops for strict gun-control laws
12/13/13 11:00 AM—Updated 12/16/13 06:17 AM

Support for stricter gun-control laws has fallen sharply in the year since the December 2012 shooting massacre in Newtown, Conn, a new poll has found.

Fifty-two percent of respondents said they favor tougher legislation, a level comparable to public opinion before a gunman killed 20 children and six educators a year ago at Sandy Hook Elementary School, according to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll conducted between Dec. 4 and Dec. 8. But in February – two months after the shooting – 61% supported stricter gun laws, according to an NBC News/WSJ poll at the time.

The NBC News/WSJ poll released Wednesday found that 38% of respondents said gun laws should remain the same, and 8% said legislation should be loosened. It also showed a clear divide between political parties: 76% of Democrats favor tougher gun control laws and just 28% of Republicans feel the same....

The demonrats favor violating the Constitution. That's why their support is at the lowest level in history.

Gallup Poll: Support for Gun Control Falls Lower and Lower and Lower
October 25 2013

According to a new Gallup Poll, support for new gun control laws has fallen drastically over the last year.

Also, a new record number of respondents polled (13%) now says that current laws should be less strict.

Also, 37% of respondents said gun laws should be kept as they are now. 49% favor stricter laws.

Also, the poll shows a new all time high number of Americans supporting handgun ownership.

74% of poll respondents say that handguns should not be banned with only 24-25% supporting such a ban....

Or someone will say something that hurts your feelings and you aren't man enough to do anything about it except put out a piece, Squishy.

Or you will come home and catch your wife boning the mailman again and you go halfway through a murder- suicide.

Killing of the wife/girlfriend is the most typical of firearm homicides.
