No, they have not "always been the base" nor are they now. That would be like me saying that communism has always been the base of your party. That's not true, it has only been so over the last 40 years. The religious right is on the lunatic fringe and do not represent the philosophy and beliefs of millions of true conservatives. You can stereotype all you like, it says very little about your subject but speaks volumes about you.
You can deny reality all you like. It says very little about reality but speaks volumes about you.

This ain't funny sir.
It is tragic.
It is ONE part of the "tragedy" we like to call life.
Answer the question sir.
From where else and who else can you realistically extract your "justice" from anyone, or anywhere, other than the DEAD "guilty party"?
It is self-evident that the child lacked the motor skills and critical thinking skills necessary to safely shoot an Uzi on full auto. I can't think of a single rational reason why you would deny that.

N.R.A. Opposes Raising Minimum Uzi Age to Ten
WASHINGTON - The National Rifle Association came out strongly on Wednesday against raising the minimum age for firing an Uzi to ten. The N.R.A. chief Wayne LaPierre said that taking Uzis out of the hands of Americans under ten was "a perilous first step" towards depriving all citizens of their constitutionally guaranteed gun rights. "History teaches us that when a government wants to take away people's guns, first they take semiautomatic weapons away from children," he said.
So?
Big deal.
The NRA is no friend of gun owners in this country.
They do not even understand how a person comes to be in possession of their right to life and self defense.

Had you been paying attention instead of childishly attacking the character of your worthy opponents Mitch, you wopuld alreasdy know that damn few of your opponents here support the NRA and their puppet shows.

Try again.

A prudent instructor would have that taken into account and effectively countered by one of several methods. Obviously the one doing the instructing failed to exercise good judgement. It cost him his life.
I agree with you that it was unwise to do what he did and allow that little girl to do that.
My point is that a biological age can never be placed on when it can be allowable to train a person in proper firearm safety. I accept your point concerning motor skills and physical strength.
To make an arm chair after the fact judgement call on what will always be a judgement call on the part of the instructor(s) is of no use here.

Again I ask;
Since the "guilty party" who committed an act of irresponsibility and negligence ... is dead ... from where can you realistically extract any further "justice"?

You seem to be laboring under the false belief that I am demanding justice or have a "lust for blood." I'm perfectly content with idiots taking themselves out of the gene pool. It's just a shame that he had to emotionally traumatize a little girl to do it.

Your denial that your party is dominated by the religious right is pure fantasy. You cannot find a Republican politician that does not cater to the religious right, and there's good reason for that - they're the base.

Your claim that the Democratic Party has or ever had a base that is/was communistic is pure fantasy. Those that would identify as socialist are a fringe. Communism has no presence whatsoever.

My accurate, factual statements about your party are not stereotypes. They are grounded in reality. And you can deny reality all you like. It says very little about reality but speaks volumes about you.

You are confused.
I said there is no biological age (add physical characteristics to that) that can be placed on WHEN IT IS ALLOWABLE TO TRAIN A PERSON IN PROPER FIREARM SAFETY.

>YOU< speak of when a person should be allowed to actually hold and use a particicular type, size, power, configuration, and characteristics OF A WEAPON.
You also speak as if that is the point when proper firearm safety should begin to be taught.

Teaching proper firearm safety begins with NO weapons sir.
THAT phase need start at a very early and tender young age ... perhaps as early as when they begin speaking and walking.
The next phase in proper training with NO weapons IN THE HANDS OF THE TRAINEE and only in the hands of the trainer.
Monkey see - first - then monkey do.

I speak of proper training.
You speak to the lack thereof.

My denial you say?
That is very interesting sir, considering the fact that the ONLY post to which I gave my agreement was the one from Squach which dealt with the negligence and irresponsibility of ONLY the tragic accident we are discussing Einstein.
You have not clue one as to my political alliances. None.

I speak only of conservatism -v- liberalism, and THAT surely is not a party line division sir. BOTH exist in BOTH parties.

Stereotypes you say?
You failed to even read and follow along with what was said and who said what and to whom.
So,
There are volumes of reality which apply to >you< sir, and how loudly those volumes speak here on your behalf. Loud enough to be heard over the din of the rest of the thread.

I questioned ONLY which reality >you< said he is denying.

I have no interest in engaging in a debate over the screen names you use. That's a tactic you use to divert from the issue at hand when you know you're losing the argument on the facts. If you want to play those games, find another target.

My position remains unrefuted - you can deny reality all you like. It says very little about reality but speaks volumes about you.

That is as silly (and stupid) as playing the race card.

Just me. Just one screen name.

Stereotyping is indeed denial of reality.

But since I didn't do that and you did, you might want to take some time to actually think about the words you spout. Of course self-reflection isn't very popular on the right so I seriously doubt you're even capable of it.
