Kind of funny that larry 'tap three times' craig hasn't said anything about this issue! Maybe he thinks gays should be in the closet or in airport bathroom stalls!

Meh. By 1940 31 states banned interracial marriage. America is a progressive nation. Always has been. Always will be.

48%- Percent of U.S. population married

53%- Divorce rate in America

5%- Percent of homosexuals in America

What's the bigger threat to marriage? The only way gay marriage is a threat is if there is a lot...and i mean ALOT of closet homosexuals out there.....

Republicans think they can get elected if they just copy the Democrats. Throw away your principles, pretend you believe in same sex marriage, gun control, out of sight spending for nonsense, and the people will love them. No they won't. If I want to vote for a liberal I will vote for a Democrat, not a pretend Republican wannabe. Democrats are looking to ban some more English words. You are not supposed to say illegal alien. Sorry if you come here illegally, you are illegal. And if you are not from the U S you are an alien. You are an illegal alien. It isn't complicated.

Last I checked wanting small limited government staying out of the lives of same-sex couples was a CONSERVATIVE ideal.

Being a bible thumping Jesus freak doesn't mean you want smaller government. Makes you a Nazi fascist.

Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, Ronald Reagan, and John McCain are all liberal politicians? You sir are a LIAR. Tsk tsk.

You didn't like the Republicans when they were for small government, out of your business people. Now they want to be like the sneaky, under-handed, supercilious Democrats. They think you will share the illegal alien vote. Poor fools. They will lose far more voters then they will take from the Democrats. So they lose anyway.

2 GOP Senators out of 45 is 4.4 %
Obama's margin of victory 3%

Jimbo you are right a 4.4 % shift is irrelevent.
Flake sounded open to the idea as well.
There will be others.
That island you are on is shrinking by the day.
but thats irrelevent, isn't it?

If this irrelevence continues EX- RINO'S may find the party interesting again

There are many that give up principle for re-election bids. They are the same ones that lied the first time they claimed to be conservatives to be elected.

If they lied when they first claimed to be Conservative then they are not surrendering principles now, the are regaining them.

Your answer confirms my premise.
You scoffed at the change in 2 Senators positions.
The sift within the GOP is VERY significant.

I kindly remind the Senator that what his opinion is doesn't matter. He is there to voice the will of the people of Ill. Last time I looked they said NO.

If the Senators and Representatives were automatons or if we had a direct Democracy.
But in a representative Gov't they can make their own decisions. If the voters dislike their Senators decision their only response is the ballot box or impeachment.
A Senator will votes on dozens of issues per year, I doubt that there is a Senator who is in absolute lock step with his constituents, if there were he or she would be a spineless panderer.
Whats your position on @!# Senator?
I don't know. I will have to take a poll....
He is not there to parrot anyones views.

No, it is just a few that have eaten off the establishments plate for years and are now fixed for life with their lifetime income and golden parachute.
