The beauty of Topix is that while tea partiers love to paste conservative talking points here, post personal insults and assign ranks of “brilliant” and “funny” to their posts of others who agree with them and ranks of “nuts” and “spam” to the posts of those who disagree, they are drawn here in large numbers. This creates an opportunity to expose them to valid information from the real world, which they hopefully will to always discount as propaganda from the “laimstream” media (or MLM, as they have been trained to refer to them).

I take such outreach opportunities to educate the otherwise misinformed seriously. It is a privilege to serve those in need.

The new 'Snowden leaking' was the Reid chief of staff. That was typical for him, it seems. The MSM should look into staff assignment changes at MSNBC, and book release tours. The View, 'news desk' may be first to follow up on this story.

Joining New Gretchen, il Douchey and nondescript-other-white-guy on the Faux Views psychiatric couch this morning, former RNC celebrity wife Ann Romney resurfaced to appear as a guest patient cooking up a mess of vittles at the grill and inviting all of us to gather round to sing Kumbaya. Lifes so good in that Fabreze-infused bubble that theres absolutely no reason to be alarmed by the stench emanating from the elephant in the room (pun intended), the horrible reality that A CRIMINAL INSURRECTIONIST SPLINTER GROUP OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY CONTINUES TO HOLD AMERICA HOSTAGE AND THAT ITS NOT INCONSEQUENTIAL.

Might want to read up on the constitution again there Mr. Constitutionalist.

And if the house would just pass a clean CR then this situation could have been resolved as well...Funny how that works huh?
<quoted text>
Oh, you mean the polls of those that are unhappy with the law but are made up of nearly half of those that don't like it because it doesn't go far enough, you know, those that want a single payer system.
Didn't know that conservatives were fighting for a single payer system... How soon can America expect that bill from the GOP in the house?
<quoted text>
Clearly you are not aware of how the law works, those that can not afford healthcare (those that are unemployed and don't have money) are covered. Those with the money and who can buy insurance will have to buy one or pay a tax that covers the fact that they don't have one so they aren't being a burden on the rest of America when they go to the hospital.
<quoted text>
Whoa whoa whoa, I wasn't aware that illegal immigrants were sent letters in the mail say they were exempt from anything. I do know that the Obamacare is clear in it's writing that illegal immigrants will not receive benefits under the health care law. It's in plain writing. so you are clearly making stuff up there.
Small businesses of 50 or less employees aren't penalized, in fact there are provision in the law that help to cover costs with businesses that small. so what are you talking about?
I highly suggest that you read the law again from front to back... you seem to be lacking in the whole facts department.
As stated above only those individuals that have the means to pay for their own healthcare but refuse to do so will have to pay a tax so they aren't getting a free pass at the hospital when they need care.
Here I thought that you and conservatives were so against people getting things for free when they can clearly pay for it themselves, I guess I was wrong.
Yes, the President can spend only what Congress has authorized. The problem is that Obama spent 12 months of funds in 11 months.

There is no such thing as a clean bill. There never has been. Congress has always operated on compromise. The Senate obstinately refuses to compromise. Worse, the entire Democrat party continues to thumb their noses at the will of the American people.

There are a lot of small businesses with more than 50 employees - not as many as before Obamacare was passed by the Democrat party, but still a lot. But, they don't get the same waivers as Big Business. Neither do individuals. The poor are exempt. This means that the costs of Obamacare are to be bornes by the middle class.

Riiiiight, no such thing as a clean CR or debit limit raising, I guess all those other times that it was raised or continued that passed without absurd demands and incident was just lies, it was in fact loaded every single time with demands that one chamber of congress could never pass constitutionally and force the other chamber and president to sign on to?

You know in a post filled in falsehoods this section is clearly the most comically outlandish.

A Quinnipiac University poll found voters, by a margin of 72 percent to 22 percent, oppose the shutdown of the government as a way to derail Obamacare.

The tea partiers mission to rebel against the establishment by disrupting government is a wonderful way for them to create infighting within the Republican Party. If John Boehner were not so weak (or disabled by his mysteriously unspecified rare disease, as may be the case), he would stand up to them, organize the sane and reasonable members to kick them out. Unfortunately for America, he is so weak or disabled that he cowers in fear that the tea partiers will kick him out of his Speaker position. He is so Machiavellian that hes willing and eager to betray America in a bid to hang onto his position.

If John Boehner doesnt stand up to them, theyll boldly topple him on their march toward their next conquest. Think storm trooper.
