Desperation is setting in among the ones who not so long ago were outspoken in their intent to shut down the government.

The top House Republican urged Senate leaders to pass on Sunday the legislation approved by the GOP-controlled House early Sunday morning that would keep the government running for the first two and a half months of the fiscal year, which begins Tuesday.

On Saturday House Republicans added to the stopgap spending bill provisions that would delay the implementation of the federal health-care overhaul by one year and repeal the law’s tax on medical devices.

Teabaggers voted to repeal AHCA 41 times and failed.

Now they want to attach it to a bill that must pass?

Then they have the gonads to blame someone else?

Of course they do.

They're teabaggers.

It's in their DNA.

The Republicans should force Barack Obama to explain *in detail* how he intends to pay for all his spending.
.
I mean *before the American* people, not run off to some college where he is going to piss and moan in front of some kids.

Boner-boy and his Teabagger allies, should they try to shut down the government or default on our debts, should be arrested, held in prison, and charged with treason.

Then we should hold special elections for loyal Americans to take their places.

Presidents don't have the power to spend much of anything, moron. Learn about government before you post such pathetic twaddle.

If only Obama would live within our means...
Hell, if only he was able to keep his word and not spend more than $973 billion beyond our means...
Then there would be no problem.

If only the Senate would accept their own recommendations, the problem would be solved.

But, no. They'd rather play politics. The Democrats won't even allow the military to be paid.

Obama can't spend a dime, you hypocritical moron. The House is full of Teabaggers trying to destroy America. The Senate cannot and will not accept their treason.

Republicans passed the same bill 40 times in a row, knowing it would fail.

Who could have predicted that it would fail again?

I doubt the politicans both sides actually read Obamacare. If they want it passed, put in it that the polticians HAVE to have the same healthcare plan that they want us to take.

Nothing is for free and they should have to take what the rest of us have to.

What kind of basic government would we have in America if a party that doesn't have the votes to pass a bill constitutionally, decides to take the country hostage by shutting down all government and forcing it into default unless the Senate and the President capitulates to and takes orders from the House alone?

Chaos and anarchy. Both parties could issue endless lists of demands on everything from immigration to abortion, or "we take the country over a cliff." It is pure political terrorism.

This is a fundamental betrayal of democracy, elections and our Constitution. And it needs to be stopped, NOW. Otherwise the GOP will threaten this every two months with new sets of demands until the country is simply run by them alone, by threat and extortion.

What a monstrous grab at tyranny by the execrable and pathetic Tea Party and Republicans, the nation's utterly phony uber "patriots."

The elimination of the tax on medical devices was originally proposed by the democrats. All of a sudden, they now say it's a bad idea. If it weren't for intransigence, the Democrats wouldn't have any principles at all!

Only Congress can pass and set budgets. The president is only required to submit a budget, which he has done every year, it's congress that must pass one with the amendments that congress feels needs to be done to the proposed budget or change it entirety.

President can only spend that which is given to him from congress.

Boehner has the next card to play in this game. He can pay it one of three ways.
...After the economy suffers after the gov't is shut down and we default lose more points off our credit rating costing us billions in increased debt payments...
He can go back an tell the Republican house members
----------
A)The American people will thank us for any pain we might inflict.

B). He can tell them ...The American people will hang us and our Party. He digs up enough sane Republicans to make it work...He will lose his job.

C) take a cowards way out and quit as speaker and dumps it all on to Cantor....who is currently glad that Boehner is where he is
