See, if all the students and teachers had guns then this would be a weekly occurrence nationwide, rather than just an ever six months or so occurrence. And think of weekend night bars full of gun toting revelers or of armed, angry fans at NFL games. Why just stop at Eagles fans throwing cans of beer at visiting Vikings fans?

You're an idiot. I'll try to type slow for you...

A school is a soft target. Shouldnt be too many other guns around, except the perp's. Thats why these often happen there.

Show me a shooting from a gun show or NRA convention, and you'll convince me. I'll wait right here.

You are the moron. More gun does not make more safe. Look at other countries where they have gun but have more control over who can and canít have guns. They donít have the shootings every other day. This point forward every gun death will be on your hands. I own guns. I keep them lock up so not anyone could get them.

Exactly! The school knew for three years that Gabe was being bullied. They knew what was going on and did nothing. Two years ago Gabe took a 13Ē knife to school because, of the bullying. It was gonna happen if the bullying didnít stop.

It's a horrible situation all around if it was about bullying. My son was bullied to the point we had to put him in a private school his last two years of school. He was achool "nerd" from the beginning of school to the end. He got beat up, stabbed in the neck with a pencil, called named and taunted daily. The school did nothing ( not this school system ) he once had ink thrown all over his shirt and when I went to the school to throw a fit I was told I shouldn't buy him expensive clothes. My son is a biomedical engineer now however he still suffers the emotional scars from being bullied. Sometimes your desperate and think there isn't any way to make it stop.

Thank you for the positive ending of your sons bullying experiences. Many intelligent, yet quite individuals are bullied. Unacceptable.

Well, I know lots of schoolmates that were bullied by students as well as teachers and there was not one single school shooting. Not one!! This was in the 60ís and 70ís. So what has changed? Think about it? I know the answer. Who else knows?

You will never stop bullying. Hell! Even our President does it! Come on now. Get real! And do not even think about blaming the mass rise of school shootings on social media making bullying an easy national past-time. Columbine school shooting was before all that social media craze. So. Stick with the facts if you want to help stop school shootings, which is what we all want or we would not be on this forum.

Gun culture in the USA. THAT is what we need to focus on fixing. Until that is accomplished, children will be shot at schools. Hell! It could be your own kid next go-round!! What are you waiting for? Shiut down the NRAís control. They hide behind our founding fatherís words to lobby control over our basic right to live without fear of being shot, when the folks over at the NRA never sacrificed themselves for their supposed convictions to carry a gun like our founding fathers did. If George Washington was here right now come back to life he would say,†ę†you idiots!

I agree. They should find out who bullied him and charge them with conspiracy to commit murder or in the least as accessories to the murder. Make a real example and show that no one was innocent in that situation of bullying.
Thankfully myself being bullied daily, didnít do anything besides end it by whooping some ass, and those kids that bullied him, which I know that did, should be held highly accountable just as this kid.
