What's really funny is that Larry says this "caring" garbage at the same time he'd continue shitcanning 1.6 Billion people on Earth living in dung huts without electricity to further Obama's green energy scams (just because Obama is Black.)
Yes, I support Obama not because his farts are smarter and more compassionate than you, but of course because he is black. I'm also partial to donuts because they are sexy.

Ohh, the drama and the political finger pointing.

And for what?

The second that a state learns how much food stamps are to be cut, a strange thing happens.

They're suddenly able to do their jobs. They actually check for eligibility, they find fraud cases every where they look and they clean up their act.

This happened all over the place when Clinton passed welfare reform in the nineties. States were suddenly finding fraud and ineligibility everywhere they looked.

Which is what they should have been doing all along.

Cleaning up half the fraud alone will make up for the cuts. Cub reporters, college kids and clerks working in stores report it constantly. It's not hard to find.

If Obama had even a small hint of what it takes for being a )President,he would have cut these himself but he's got Welfare mentality. Congress will have to watch spending for the Democrats they do not care if America gets another credit rating drop, once wasn't good enough for them. We have to be 3rd world.

You people can truly help the needy by encouraging them to get a job and exercise some personal responsiblity instead of encouraging them to live off of others.

Handouts aren't helping them, enabler.

Those good-old conservative Christian values on display… Jesus would be the first to take food out of the mouths of the poor and children. God said tax cuts for the rich and no food for the needy. Jesus said “Get a job,(even if there are none or it the job doesn’t pay enough to feed your family) if you want to eat.
God so loved the world that he gave his only food to the wealthy… the poor be damned.

The Children ain't going to starve. Many schools are actually starting to serve dinner to the poor kids before they leave school now. 3 meals a day provided. These cuts are just cuts to bloat. Some of the luxury items will get cut from the program like Ice cream trucks, and tattoo parlors that have a front room selling groceries & other items that EBT cards can be used to purchase. Plain and simple it's $40 billion dollars saved from being abused to purchase non food items. In the long run, this should put more food in the mouths of children because it limits the parents from blowing the EBT cards on themselves.

Where in the broad ax cutting of the program, is there a mechanism to reduce fraud?
The size of the enrollment in the program is due to shrink in November when the stimulus related expansion of enrollment will expire. As the economy improves the rolls will shrink. CBO says a 1% drop in unemployment reduces the participation in SNAP 2-3%. whats needed is a 3month limit on participation for the able bodied and an improved economy..

You really think jesus meant that those words should be applied to 85% of recipients?
85% are children , the elderly and the handicapped....
Purge the rolls of the able bodied by putting a 3 month limit on the able bodied..
The broad ax approach is going to injure the innocent.
When the President wanted to bump up the tax rates on the wealthy the conservative said the quantity of money to be gained was irrelevant.. too small to make a difference in deficit reduction.....
The difference to the deficit between purging the rolls of the healthy and able by placing a limit on the benefits they can receive and the broad ax approach you favor is irrelevant as well...
Yet in this case you lustfully cheer for having the ax fall
The rich are the only folk to which you extend your sympathies......
