There is also the irony that there was an agreement to share the proceeds of any oil between the Falklands and Argentina, that was made in 1995.

Can you guess which side of the dispute decided to unilaterally abandon it in 2007?
I'll give you a clue, the current premiere of the country in question is married to the former premiere who tore up the agreement.

I support Argentina on the issue of the Malvinas Islands (the real name is not the Falkland Islands), and I support Ireland on the issue of who should own Ireland, and I support Spain on the issue of the Rock of Gibraltar.

England has done a lot of bad things, and the USA had to fight against England twice, once to gain our freedom, and again in 1812.

Tony your are wrong in your support. What is important is the wishes of the various peoples that live in those places.

The Falkland Islanders (correct name) currently wish to be British. That is their choice.

The Gibralterians currently wish to be British. That is their choice.

The Northern Irish currently wish to be British. That is their choice.

All that is right and proper and those people's rights are protected by UN Charters and Resolutions. Long may it be so.

Who is misguided?

If the USA did not defeat the British twice, we would not have our freedom that we enjoy today. And England also threatened to enter our Civil War on the side of slavery, but if England would have declared war on the Union in the USA then France would have declared war on England, so France and others helped to keep England out of the American Civil War. Read your history, England supported the South and slavery in the USA Civil War, and almost entered the war on the side of slavery. God bless France, whom is a true ally.

Also of note, is that Karl Marx is buried in England.

The only reason that Canada, Scotland, and Australia, have any freedom at all, is because the USA defeated England twice, and England feared that they would revolt as the USA did.

Then there is the history of the bad things that England did to Scotland.

England did bad things all over. And there is the history of Francis Drake, whom was pure evil.

Ireland belongs to Ireland, and the British need to get out of Ireland. The Rock of Gibraltar belongs to Spain, and England needs to get out. And the Malvinas Islands belong to Argentina.

The list of bad things that England has done goes on and on.

Calling the Malvinas Islands the "Falkland" islands, is no different than calling Mumbai, India, "Bombay." Mumbai is NOT "Bombay," and the Malvinas Islands are not the "Falkland" Islands.

Tony .. so you have French lineage then .. that was already obvious from your statements .... and you are still wrong. Check your history. Eire has now changed its constitution and accepts that Northern Ireland is British because its people wish it to be so.

Gibralter was ceeded to Britain in perpetuity by Spain, but only remains British because the people who live there wish it to be so.

The Falkland Islnads were first named by Britain in the 1690's and have been totally British since 1833 but they only remain British because the people who live there wish it to be so.

And historically Britain did no more bad than most of the other 'powers' of the time, including the French. I do accept your gratitude to France however, after all , who won the American war of independence ........ the French !

The reason for the French Revolution was that France went broke supporting the USA against England. King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were killed because the French supported the USA against England, they paid the ultimate price. The French Revolution was foolish, and the USA should have done more to aid France and King Louis XVI. Then France put in Napoleon, which was another foolish move. Bourbon/Capetians should still lead France.

And a Bourbon is currently on the throne of Spain, and he is a great man.

If not for the French Revolution, I might be the leader of France, and my royal ancestors might not have come to the USA to keep their heads. :)

If I take over London, and if I have my people migrate there, and if I reward those whom support me so that I always have their loyalty, do I have the right to keep London as mine? After all, the people of London remain loyal to me, and they want me as their leader. Do I have the right to retain London then? Do I?

England NEVER had a right to take over Ireland, the Malvinas Islands, nor the Rock of Gibraltar!!!

If I played the same game that England has played, would it be right????

NO!!!!

Still wrong Tony -

The Fitzwilliams and Fitzpatricks of Ireland who oppose British rule were once English families, the Rock was ceeded as a result of war and the islands discovered and settled ....... that was the way of the world. Your majesty :-)

England did bad things all over the world, please you talk like a teenager talking about his history lesson he didnt bother listening to.
you think america is somehow a world police force keeping scotland and the rest of the wolrd safe from the english.

you keep maknig statements about the uk ireland gibralter etc belong to wich ever country is closest wich is just laughable.

you make statements with no understanding on the matter on wich you are talking about and even go to bringing misguided understanding of the civil war like this has something to do with the falklands and your hatred of britain.

people have allready told you but you refuse to listen is that all of these places, the actual population who live there who are free under u.n laws either want to be part of the uk {ireland} and that the people of the falklands also want to be a part of britain.

you come with your misguided american hypocrisy about old empires and the evil british taking over the world but you forget yourself that your european ansestors murdered an entire nation and left them a few reservations.

you fail to mention the fact that the falklands were there before the spanish colonionists took over the land that is now called argentina and murdered the population. yes its not just the white british man who was a colonionist or into the slave trade. the arabs and black nations themselves throughout history have had their hand in slavery and in far greater numbers and brutatlity but once again we blame this all on the uk and the white man.

time has changed and we are in a different world now, not at the time of the civil war, history is important yes and you call the french true allies. do you know how disrespectfull that sounds to the british families whos sons and daughters are fighting in your american lead war. we backed the usa in your time of crisis even though it didnt go down well with our eurpoean neighbours. not becuase we are americas lapdog, but we know the meaning of loyalty, unlike your third world leader who still holds a grudge against the british population for what his father went through. how ignorant is that? i suppose we should only remember the usa via guantanamo bay and nothing else.

frankly you are a lost cause as you are blinded like your president with some old time hatred of britain.

luckily for us we know we still have true allies in america and europe.

i know you will come back with some statments about the evil british empire and that land should be given to the closest dictator without a say from the populations themselves and how the rest of the world is only safe from england becuase team america polices the world. please, you gotta be kidding me.

isnt that what happened to the indians? your misguided american hypocrisy again?

YES with lots of these to !!!!!!!!!!

Is this what happened to the land that is now called argentina and invaded by the spaniards?

Yes!!!!!!!!

Is this what has happened to every single country/continent in the world by various nations throughout history?

Yes!!!!!!!!

But once again blind ignorance and hypocrisy tells us to forget our sins and blame every thing on the evil british white man. get back to your propaganda books and wasting your life filling it up with hatred of a people who couldnt give a rats ass about your or your royal blood line wich you seem to like to tell random strangers over the net.

feeling self righteous much with a hint of self importance?

please... take your head out

I like some bands that have come from England, such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, etc, and I love Shakespeare.

Here is a short You Tube video of me doing some Shakespeare, I hope that you enjoy it:

And Richard Branson is cool.

Not everything about England is bad, but England could do more good things to improve their image, such as giving the Rock of Gibraltar back to Spain, giving the Malvinas Islands back to Argentina, and giving Northern Ireland back to Ireland.
