We'll see how the Maryland vote turns out on their marriage referendum in Nov. Since they have the largest percentage black population of any state, that will tell us if there's really any movement or not.

I've had a lot of black friends, and I've worked with a lot of black people over the years, and in my experience 99% were not prejudiced against gay poeple.

I think its just a bunch of demagogues saying "I speak for black people" or "I speak for Christian people" that cause much of the foment. Most folk, no matter what their ethnic or religious background, probably sit back home and say "whatever" and "is Jeopardy on yet?". It's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease though. Wonder what would happen if we had voter turnouts in the 80-90% range.

Most blacks just want to see Obama rreelected no matter what..even if he has yet to actually benefit black people as a group..they will support him even if it goes against their own spiritual and moral convictions.

Gay "marriage" doesn't influence any movement of any kind. If anything it causes impacted constipation and pandemic hemorrhoids, which in Obama's own insight increases health insurance costs for everyone.

THAT, I agree with !

Howard Stern (who is on my "TOP 3 PEOPLE I DETEST THE MOST" list) did an interesting experiment about this when The Obamaniac ran for POTUS last time.

He interviewed people and said to them: "Who are you voting for for POTUS ?" After the person answered, he said to The Obamaniac voters, "Obama supports [ISSUES A, B & C] and Obama is against [ISSUES X, Y & Z]". Of course the voters who supported The Obamaniac agreed with everything Stern said that he said.

The trick was that The Obamaniac acutally said the OPPOSITE of what Stern told those people he said.

Proving just how racist those people were, because they wer voting for The Obamaniac OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE he was black, and that was the ONLY reason they were voting for him.

And yet exit polling of those blacks who vote are 60-70% against.

That's why these polls are meaningless. They need to stick to polling only those who are likely to vote; i.e. they're registered & have voted in the past 2 elections.

At least publish BOTH statistics, so there is something realistic to compare the numbers to, then add 5 points to the anti-gays side.

And I soppose you think that everyone who voted for the Republican, or who will vote for Romney this time was or is only voting on the candidates' political views, and not because of the color of their skin? There are people on both sides who are so bigoted that they will vote by skin color. It's not only blacks.

That's right. You'll also have white liberals vote for The Obamaniac JUST to prove how liberal they really are.

More likely, they just despise chameleons. I know it's not fair to judge Romney on an accident of his birth, but many people just don't like lizards. That's the same reason Gingrich never really had a chance at the nomination. People who hate lizards don't like amphibians, either.
