Nice to see Indiana join 20th Century America with a needle exchange program.
Now if we could move them into the 21st, all the better.

I'm surprised Indiana agreed to any harm reduction measures. It has always been one of the most backward states! They need to offer these addicts treatment! Here in Philly whole sections have been devastated by heroin trafficking. It's really sad to see such young lives wasted.

The Leftists posting here and throughout Topix aren't fooling anyone. Their support of various illegal drug activity and use is well established. Instead of giving homosexuals infected with HIV more access to more needles and drugs, they should be quarantined.

Leave the heroin users alone. Let them shoot up with whatever they want and hopefully through HIV and overdoses, they'll just kill themselves off quietly.

Indiana backwards. spoken like a true moral deprived lefty. it was very desappointing to see govenor Pence to decide to give the drug-addicted scum clean needles to continue getting (f)ucked up. it does the commununity no good. those addicts are always criminals and they should be put away from society.

Yes, because everyone knows that the best way to deal with any social disease is to not talk about it and hope it goes away.
Always works!

Actually it does work. If we stopped enabling these dirtbags, natural selection would take over and solve the problem.

and yet there are still drug addicts.( Natural selection doesn't come into play here as drug use is not a genetic trait.)

If one bothers to actually read the article, it rather obviously does not work, thus even a backwards-ass state like IN adopts a needle exchange program to lower both the social & economic costs.
The only other cheaper solution is putting addicts down in the street like rabid dogs, which might be considered a moral grey area by some.

Sure it does. That's what's wrong with this whole country nowadays. Government has removed natural selection and "only the strong survive" from this society, ensuring that the dregs of society artificially thrive and leach off the stronger, productive members of this country.

The best way to treat chronic drug users, welfare rats, child molesters, terrorists, and any other cancer on this society is to simply destroy them, or let them destroy themselves.

"Only the strong survive" is not a society, but rather Social Darwinism & in the modern world can be said as "He with the most guns, wins".
There's a shiny new country in the Middle East that's eager and willing to accept new members with your mindset.

it was the smartest survive not the only the strong survive.

Neandertals were stronger, bigger, better adapted physically to their environment and knew the territory better as they had been there much longer, yet when Homo sapiens came along with their larger brains, we wiped them out in the blink of an eye, evolutionarily speaking.(after breeding with some of that species of course...)

once again, you are speaking on things you have no idea of, just parroting saying you have heard and not understood. try nursery rhymes...maybe you will get one of those correct.

No, it's actually "He with the hardest work ethic, strongest discipline, and greatest personal responsibility wins". Of course, you liberals are doing your best to snuff those type of American traditions out at every turn.
