When Indiana did the pre-emption there was to be blood on the streets (per the anti-gun advocates) much like the OK Corral but it never came to pass. It seems the bloodbaths mostly happen in the gun free zones.

The vast majority of them do. I had to jump through the required hoops to get a couple of non-resident permits, anywhere I would want to go I can without any problems. New England, Illinois and Taxifornia are the only places I can't carry. A big problem, for legal owners, is the states that think Title 18's safe passage provision is a suggestion.
