Promoted as needed relief for the middle class, the Senate Republican tax overhaul actually would increase taxes for some 13.8 million moderate-income American households, a bipartisan analysis showed Monday. The assessment by Congress' nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation emerged as the Senate's tax-writing committee was set to begin wading through the measure Monday afternoon, working toward the first major revamp of the tax system in some 30 years.

Speaking as a California voter, I can say that the fear mongering of the violent Democrat party is a non-issue. California is an occupied one party State. Whenever the occupying Democrat party engineers yet another tax increase to be put onto the ballot, we Californians always express our "democracy" by voting for it. Californians will NOT be cowed with threats of even higher taxes. Californians LOVE higher taxes. Besides, we ain't gonna' vote for opposition party's anyway. In addition to high income and property taxes, many California cities vie with Chicago for the title of the world's highest sales tax city.

So you're for the GOP tax plan of removing the deduction for state, local, and property taxes?
Seems like that will cause an increase in your federal taxes. Thank you for blindly agreeing to pay for more welfare for your brown friends.

Cool...so you must have access to the real numbers.

Yes, the states that gouge their citizens are past their prime and on their way to folding their tent.

Exactly. Beyond the moral implications of using the unfair tax code to have poor States subsidize the lavish lifestyle of occupied California, is the very real homeless threat. California has the highest property tax in the nation. Allowing a federal tax deduction for property taxes paid boosts California property prices even more, thus increasing the property tax even more. Even if the real estate industry tricks homeowners into believing that price is the same as value, the increased cost of housing results in more homeless which in turn, means more disease throughout the State.

Funny watching the witless rubes who voted for Trump try to spin the fact that they're getting hosed by Trump and his rich buddies! I guess they're in so deep they have to bend over and take it while stupidly pretending it's not happening!

Sure, why not. Maybe people will actually start to question where all that state tax money goes if they just aren't able to "write it off" their federal.

One could also make the argument why should lower tax states get no benefit because the higher tax states are basically collecting tax welfare.

The main thing for Trump is to drive down wages for the American middle class and increase their dependency on Trump's sweatshop-owning corporate pals.

Yes. You are right. High property taxes create homelessness and disease by driving up the cost of housing. That is especially true of the so-called "Tax vulture" States such as occupied California.

Why claim Trump would do what Obama already did. You spastic children need to get a grip on reality.
