A Texas judge is calling for a tax increase to pay for more deputies in preparation for a possible “civil war” if President Barack Obama is re-elected.

Lubbock County Judge Tom Head told KJTV-TV on Monday that a 1.7 cent tax increase for the next fiscal year is necessary to prepare for the “worst case scenario: civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe.”

“We’re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we’re talking — we’re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy,” Head said.“What’s going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that?[Obama's] going to send in U.N. troops. I don‘t want ’em in Lubbock County. OK. So I‘m going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say ’you’re not coming in here.’

“And the sheriff, I’ve already asked him, I said ‘you gonna back me’ he said,‘yeah, I‘ll back you’. Well, I don’t want a bunch of rookies back there….I want trained, equipped, seasoned veteran officers to back me,” he said.

Federal Court Rules Texas May Cut Planned Parenthood Funding
Posted on August 22, 2012 at 1:26pm by Madeleine Morgenstern

A federal appeals court ruled late Tuesday that Texas may cut off funding to Planned Parenthood affiliates participating in a low-income women’s health care program under a new law banning funds to clinics linked to abortion providers.

The ruling from the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans reversed a lower court’s decision that temporarily allowed Planned Parenthood to continue to receive funding pending a legal challenge to the law in October.

The new Texas law bars organizations linked to abortion providers from receiving money through the state‘s Women’s Health Program, a health and contraceptive care program for low-income women, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

The case started when Planned Parenthood sued, saying the new law violated its free speech rights, while Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott argued the state may decide which organizations it funds. A federal judge in Austin sided with Planned Parenthood, saying there was sufficient evidence the law was unconstitutional. The three-judge appellate panel disagreed, ruling Planned Parenthood was unlikely to succeed under the free speech argument.

Following the federal court’s ruling, Texas officials said they would move to sever funding to the Planned Parenthood clinics.

I was working with a young home buyer who was from a little town called Blue Ridge, Tx a few years back.

She told me that when their postmaster retired, the guvment had the nerve to send a black person to take her place. Then she proudly told me how 'somehow' his car was burned right in the post office parking lot and that he was gone the next day.

Yep. Tolerance sure is their thing.

Learn How To Spell, And Research History....This Country Was Only Founded To Be Able To Worship Religion Freely.
The Second Admendment Secures That Right.
You Cant Learn That From Liberal Indoctrinators....
You should brush up on your history. This country was not founded, as I'm sure you are trying to insinuate, on the christian religion. One of it's founding concepts was the right to worship as you please, but freedom of religion includes freedom from religion.

Wtf are liberal indoctrinators? Are you really that paranoid? Yeah, christians are soo marginalized in our society...

Ok...So Now Evolution Has Slowed To A Halt ?
I Expect It To Continue As You Say It Always Has. We Need Species To Be Changing Into Other Species, And Transvestites Dont Count...LOL
Webbed Fingers And Toes...Extreme Eyeballs, Multiple Penises, Gills...ETC
I bet you would like to have an extra penis, wouldn't you?

Anyways, are you dense? You have just been provided with several examples of how the human species has continued to evolve, and is still evolving. For a new species to emerge it would take millions or years. Are you one of those people who is confused by the fact that monkeys aren't spontaneously turning into humans everyday?

And some people are born with webbed fingers and toes. No idea what you mean by extreme eyeballs. What evolutionary benefit would multiple penises offer, aside from satisfying your very strange niche fetish? Gills? What advantage would they confer? Even if someone were born with one of these mutations, what selective pressure in our environment would cause them to flourish? I don't think the niche bug eyed double penis mermaid porn industry that you so clearly love exerts enough pressure to result in any lasting changes.

Ben Franklin wrote a pamphlet called, "Information to Those who would Remove to America." It was intended to be a guide for Europeans who were thinking of relocating in America. In it he said:
"Hence bad examples to youth are more rare in America, which must be comfortable consideration to parents. To this may be truly added, that serious religion, under its various denominations, is not only tolerated, but respected and practiced.
"Atheism is unknown there; Infidelity rare and secret; so that persons may live to a great age in that country without having their piety shocked by meeting with either an Atheist or an Infidel.
"And the Divine Being seems to have manifested his approbation of the mutual forbearance and kindness with which the different sects treat each other; by the remarkable prosperity with which he has been pleased to favor the whole country."
Wow, a little piece of propoganda meant to bolster immigration written by one of the most deviously clever minds of recent history. No way he was simply writing what he knew potetial immigrants wanted to hear, not possible.

It's a billion times better than when I was a kid. But, I'm sure, there are many small towns throughout the South (not just Texas), islands of backwardness, that have resisted the tides of change. I'm not so sure that MLK's Dream has been fulfilled ANYWHERE! Do you know of such a place? I really don't believe our Welfare State was what he had in mind.

Yeah I live in one such sheltered from reality communities , where they define "atheist" with Websters and live in a dizzy world where only what they believe is true is true.

This is slowly changing but I'm not holding my breath either.
I view Texas as a place that you pass through sand and cactus and if you get stopped by the police , you say Yes Sir! Take the ticket without a fuss and pay it. End of story , you cant fight the system , doesn't matter if it's really Texas or not.

But in Texas especially if you want to make a fuss , you came to the right place to lose badly.
