The "universe is unfolding as it should". That is.... Yanukovich and his horde of lawless criminals will soon fold like a bad hand in poker.Police are now accused of raping a 29 year old Ukr.girl, and covering it up is simply beyond any concept of morality. The public anger in Ukraine over this and the cover up is a natural consequence of a rotten , corrupt regime in Ukraine.

What you say is true. However, it will take more than public outrage to oust the dictator wannabee and his evil horde.

The next election in Ukraine is in Jan 2015. The democratic will of the people will decide Yanukovich's fate. Ukraine is a democratic country and people. There will be no mass disobedience of government as we have seen all over the world. The people in Ukraine are very disciplined and educated. They know the score. They know their own history. The EU is also making it very attractive for the Ukr government to democratise. Yanukovich will soon heed the call of democracy and trade with the EU, by economic necessity if not voluntarily.

T Rex: You are assuming that the next elections will be honest. This is a somewhat simplistic view. The past history of elections in Ukraine, expecially those involving Yanu, has been rife with corruption and fraud. When observers stated this they were barred from observing the next election. The will of the wonderful people of Ukraine will only be done when the corrupt practices of the dictator wnnabee and his cohorts are stopped.

Well, I think that Angela Merkel, the World Bank and the IMF and all of the EU have about had enough of Yanukovich. There is big money to be made in Ukrainian access to the EU trade zone, both ways. As soon as Yanukovich prooves to be a financial liability to EVERYONE he will be dropped like a hot potato..... that is.... kicked out, unless he complies with reforms mandated by the EU. Yanukovich is too stupid and pig headed to know that ,but I bet he is booted out in 2015. No one will support a money loser.

As American Observer pointed out it's not that simple, lots of people in Ukraine are angry at Yanukovich's policies and there have been many demonstrations against him, but he is a master of corruption and he will use every trick he knows to try and stay in power, not to mention he will have the backing of Putin.
He cheated in the parliamentry elections last year and will do so again. Ukraine entering the EU depends on Yulia being released, that is unlikely to happen as Yanukovich knows she will be his biggest rival at the next election and he will use every excuse not to set her free.

Well, the world may likely also end, but I would rather assume it will not. Most in Ukraine have a defeatist complex. Ukraine does need Tymoshenko either, she had her chance and blew it for personal gain. I say Yanukovich will be booted, for the the new coalition of Klyczko-Yatseniuk who have some brains and integrity ..... Yanukovich will be gone for financial reasons as he is a financial drag on Ukraine. Tymoshenko is also not coming back as a politician. Ukraine does not need an unstable nati0nalist - populist at this time.

Klitsko is the most popular politician in Ukraine at this time, but whether he is as good at politics as he was in the boxing ring is still in doubt, I would accept him though, he is certainly preferable to Yanukovich.

I think that Klitschko's PhD and the fact that Klitschko speaks fluent english , german, russian and ukrainian and is a self made multi millionaire, and is in the Ukr. Parliament and debates and thinks very well demonstrates that he is more than just your average ukrainian blockhead that is a boxer. Besides, leaders , lead, and the bureaucrats do the actual work, as we all know. If the president of Ukr. simply doesn't steal, then that will be a large step forward for Ukraine. It should be noted that Dr Klitschko and Dr Yatseniuk are both independently wealthy, so they do not have to steal or suck up to Oligarchs.

It would be nice to have honest people in the government instead of convicted felons and holdovers from the Soviet Era. Have heart Ukraine- it will happen sooner or later-- may it be sooner rather than later.

What are you trying to say? If you are implying that Putin is free becuse he is pure and innocent- you are ignorant and full of crap. If you are implying that the reson Putin is free is that his cohorts in the KGB (ooops chnged name now FSN- same thugs and murderers but different label) have their thumg firmly on Russia you are correct.
Which wy do you mean (if you even know what you think)

Half of you here have no clue. No one I know voted for Yanu. The election was rigged. Orange Rev was CIA induced. It was one of the color revolutions.

That being said, no one involved in Ukrainian politics want to join the EU.

Ukrainians in general are lazy, arrogant, gauche, dishonest, irresponsible, wannabe corinthians. Ukraine is a good country for such people. Ukraine has never taken any responsibility for its actions and the people in this country never owe up to anything. There is always an excuse. I have heard it all.

If Puke joins EU, people will (gasp!!) god forbid have to actually take responsibilty and work. No more stealing. No more paying the tax man under the table and cheating taxes. No more stiffing bills. No more free anything. I have yet to meet an honest law abiding Ukrainian citizen. All of them are shameless criminals in one way or another. Heck, even their university diplomas are all bought. They lie and believe the lie is truth.

Politicians talk about joining the EU but they don't want to. They want to continue to barter with the EU and Russia and try to milk as much from each side. They can do this because of Puke's strategic placement on the map. Every politician knows that there will be no opportunity to steal like it's the last day on earth if they joined anything.

Get real people. I can see that some of you are virtual tourists and have never been here. My advice, move along, there is nothing in Ukraine you'd be interested in. Oh perhaps cheap malt liquor that they advertise as beer might be of some interest to a few people but most of you will be disgusted if you live here longer than 1 month.

Tymoshenko? Jeez, don't get me started....... she deserves to rot in jail like all the parliament members and their next of kin.

As I always say, if Ukrainians were black. You whiteys would treat them like negroes, hispanics, and asians. LOL
Rebuttal that!!!!! hahahahah!!!!!

You chose the right moniker Joker because most of what you wrote is bs.
You will find that quite a few of the people on this forum have been to Ukraine and love it there, apart from me American Observer/Warrior Poet spends three months at a time in Ukraine.
To describe all Ukrainians you have just because of some corrupt politicians is extremely insulting, most Ukrainians are hardworking people while you are a loud mouth jerk. You're clearly not Ukrainian and if you hate the country so much get out of there, may I suggest you go to the land of Putin, if you think you've seen corruption you haven't seen nothing until you go to Russia, that's if you're not from there.
