Mitt Romney is now a long shot

It's hard to contest the view that Mitt Romney is losing. He's trailing in all national polls, including ones friendly to Republicans, like Rasmussen. Full Story

The only assistance Romney could use is mouth-to-mouth recusitation. But be careful. His lying may be contagious.

Since I'm into quotes at the momment. How does Romney feel about working class people that make under $200,000 per year?.....

"Let Detroit go bankrupt."
-- Mitt Romney

“Don't try to stop the foreclosure process. Let it run its course and hit the bottom.”
— Mitt Romney, defending banks and kicking people out of their homes.

“I'm not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there.”
—Mitt Romney (January 2012)

“(People) who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it.”
"I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."
"My job is not to worry about those people."
-- Mitt Romney, May 2012

George Stephanopoulos ..... "Is $100,000 middle income?"
Mitt Romney ..... "No, middle income is $200,000 to $250,000 and less." (on ABC's 'Good Morning America', Sept. 14, 2012)

“I should tell my story. I'm also unemployed.”
-- Mitt Romney, speaking in 2011 to unemployed people in Florida. In case anyone doesn't know ..... Romney's net worth is over $250 million.

“I have inherited nothing. Everything Ann and I have we have earned the old-fashioned way.”
-- Mitt Romney, said May 2012. But Mitt Romney grew up in one of the wealthiest communities in America, attended an elite prep school, worked for his father, the governor of Michigan, and used stock to pay for his multiple degrees from Stanford, BYU, and Harvard.

What's happening to our troops overseas isn't important?.....

“When you give a speech you don't go through a laundry list, you talk about the things that you think are important.”
-- Mitt Romney, when asked about failing to mention the troops in his nomination speech at the Republican National Convention, Fox News interview, Sept. 7, 2012

“I get speaker's fees from time to time, but not very much.”
-- Mitt Romney .....
Liar liar pants on fire ..... he earned $374,000 in speaking fees in one year according to his personal financial disclosure (January 2012)

Mitt Romney in 2012 .....“I don't manage the money that I have. In order to make sure that I didn't have a conflict of interest while I was governor or while I was considering a run for national office, I had a blind trust established.”

But in 1994 he said this .....

Mitt Romney in 1994 .....“The blind trust is an age-old ruse, if you will, which is to say, you can always tell the blind trust what it can and cannot do. You give a blind trust rules.”

"I saw my father march with Martin Luther King."
-- Mitt Romney, bragging in 2007 about his family's record on civil rights.

But guess what? Romney later had to admit he didn't see his father march with King, nor did his father ever march with Martin Luther King on the same day or in the same city. Romney gets another liar lair pants on fire on this.

Romney, speaking in May of 2012 about the U.S. auto industry's comeback .....“I pushed the idea of a managed bankruptcy. And finally, when that was done, and help was given, the companies got back on their feet. So I'll take a lot of credit for the fact that this industry's come back.”

But ..... yep, there's that word 'but' again .....

Romney said, writing in a 2008 New York Times op-ed titled 'Let Detroit Go Bankrupt'.....“If General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye.”

He was counting on the ABO (Anyone But Obama) sentiment, and his experience at Bain, to help him. But he apparently failed to realize that he had to actually have something to offer. In addition to being a pathological liar, he suffers from constant foot-in-mouth disease.

Take heart, mouthbreathers. Your misery will soon be ended.
I love how all of the Obama disciples have fallen into line to ignore Obama horrible record and spew the anti-Romney drivel. That's okay, Obama has promised those leeches big rewards. If re-elected, the misery for the country continues for at least another 4 years.

It's obvious that you don't like Obama. So, tell me what it is about Romney that I should like, considering that many REPUBLICANS don't even like him? As for lying, no one lies like Romney, who has said that he wouldn't be dictated to by Fact-Check, and not even Biden's occasional gaffes remotely approach Romney's frequent ones. After all, it's not Obama or Biden who is an international laughingstock. Neither one of them has lived in an insular bubble that prevents him from understanding what everyday Americans contend with. The folks in Massachusetts who remember him as their governor don't like him either. It's just too bad for you that the folks on this forum are simply speaking the truth about him, and it so happens that the truth about him is unflattering.

Romney does not have to prove anything. he either wins or loses. But Obama has a long list of questionable decisions, many made into laws that people may dispute. Being that there are people hurting that were not four years ago, it is the President who needs a concise agenda. And part of that is what he is going to do for me. Tens of millions of Americans that were homeowners/savers are now asking that question. There is no hope with the president. Romney is someone new. Its his turn.

Did you think all the damage done by the Republicans in eight years could be undone in only four years?

Particularly with the Republican congress deliberately sabotaging America's recovery?

"For the next two years, we can’t let you succeed in anything. That’s our ticket to coming back."
-- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Republican)

That's how much the 'new' Republican party cares about families and working people suffering.

Right. News for you. NEITHER party gives a rat's about them. It's all about getting and holding power. Repubs and Demos are nought but 2 heads of the same coin.
Both use fear mongering and lies to coax the sheep to pull the lever for them.

Where have you been? By what measure do you say that ? Can you quantify it? Occasional gaffes? Every time he opens his mouth he inserts foot.

Really? The left has been telling us for years how America is a laughing stock in the face of other nations. Now you say that isn't so?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Where did Obama work in the private sector? What budget did he ever have to worry about?
Biden has been in Washington almost 40 years!!!! You can't tell me that he isn't insulated from those in fly over country!!!!

AS do many folks in Illinois.
Anne wrote:

It's not bad for me. You see, unlike you I have long ago realized that all polluticians are the same. There are many things unflattering known and said about Obama that get swept under the rug or feebly explained away.
Face it, you're a useful idiot for one of the two major political parties. The same parties that have ruined this country.
Except you'll say, "But...but...but..."

Bottom line. Choosing between Democrat & Republican polluticians is like choosing between syphilis and gonorrhea. Still, it's comical to read the arguments in blogs, forums, and chat rooms that are tantamount to "My venereal disease is better than your venereal disease!".
I'll pencil you in for syphilis.

It's fun to be dismissive, isn't it? But it's even more satisfying when you speak from strength, and actually know what you're talking about. One day you may experience that level of satisfaction.
