These states will/would do better on their own. They can shed their share of obama's debt, and start their own country(s).
They would also by definition be shedding their entitlement mentality - which would mean that they would have to work for a living. But what a living it would be! No more rediculous government intrusion in their lives and no more government waste - A chance to start over! They can all adopt the Constitution as their Constitution(s).
I would be willing to move to one of these "free states." Especially down the road, when things here in Obama's Socialist Utopia start to get really bad...and it is going to get very bad.
Pack your bags for the most free state of all. No tax no government Somalia. Get the hell now.

Then so be it. I'll align myself with fiscal conservatives any day. There's just too many intrusive loons among the social conservatives. Like you, I want the government downsized and out of my face. So then I'm going to get up in other people's faces at the same time? Over moral issues? It's not what's important right now. Stop overtaxing, stop overspending, secure the borders, tighten up the military, energy independence. THAT is the focus. Everything else is secondary, and without those five things, it won't matter who marries who. As I see it, the economic stability of the country, with it's national security reinforced, is the only issue right now. Certainly more important than a woman having a self-financed abortion. Priorities, Mykro, priorities.

That because they were busy wearing sheets, concocting laws against blacks, lynching, eugenics, etc. Now GFY you race-baiting-racist-bassturd.
You're referring to the Jefferson Davis Democrats of the Southern States, more commonly known today as the Social Conservative wing of the Republican Party and affectionately supported by the Tea Party.

Your ideas were so rejected totally by America, so much so that not even Romney or Ryan's home cities voted in support of their campaign.

If Romney and Ryan's neighbors didn't vote for them, why would you?

You forget one thing .Wealth is a man made commodity for the most part. And if you chase away those who know how to make wealth, how you going to pay for all your free toys.
When Spain expelled all those evil rich capitalist Jews Sultan Bayezid of the Ottoman Empire sent his fleet to pick them up and state.

Yeah, because Obama & the Dems did so much to "destroy everyone's right to legally own firearms" in his first four years, especially when they had supermajorities in both the House & Senate.
More lame scary rhetoric to pump up gun sales. You must own a gun shop.
You do know about the arms treaty that Obama and Hillary are trying to push through the UN I presume. It is like his back door amnesty. The ends justify the means.

You won by 1%. I wouldn't call that an overwelming win. Just a win. Much of that 1% is fraud, so all in all, it was as predicted, a close election.

Before I get into the electoral votes. Let me put this on record first

Obama = shit
Romney = shit

Ok, now that is out of the way.

Would not agree that there is a serious issue int he way electoral votes are given out? And with the electoral college, the people's vote means nothing more than a high school popularity contest?

Here is why I say this. We will look at a couple of states from election. I cannot remember the actual states, but, it was the same through out so it does not really matter.

On several occasions on election night polls closed at 7PM. By 705PM with less than one 1% of the vote totals in, electoral college votes were being given out to Romney or Obama.

Do you see no issue with that? What about the people and their voice?

I mean, I get it, there is a point where it is mathematically impossible to win. Numbers do not lie. However, when there is less than that mathematical line, how can electoral votes be given out?

Texas has a population of 25,674,681. If 65,000 people signed the petition to secede then that means that merely .002% of the population of Texas wants to break away from the United States! This is hardly a majority of Texans. Keep in mind that when you have lots of people, you are going to have more wing-nuts. In addition, the fact that a group of people can petition to secede without fear of retribution speaks volumes about the freedoms and liberties that we, as a nation, hold dear. Think about all this for a minute! They scream about how patriotic they are, and when they don't win this election they want to tear up the country they "love" so much. I think that their "patriotism" is more to their own self interests then it ever was to this country.

Martin, just stir it up. Do as they do with your responsibilities of course. The more on the dole the less there is to give out and a resolution on way or the other will be the answer. Between ten and fifteen trillion dollars were lost by responsible citizens in the last four years as their wealth was used as collateral in a debt ridden nation. Much of that was long term as they will retire living pretty skimpy. these fools are evil as they watch their neighbors not paid off by their side lose much of their "pursuit of happiness" by a majority of people, who actually are the real cavemen in IQ's led by sociopaths with higher ones who will kill their own families and culture to prove nature wrong. And will be violent to get their way. There is nothing wrong with liberal politics if you keep the masses honest. But it is far from that and expensive to service to boot.

With the entire stupidity that our 9% approval rating Congress has shown over the past several years? Nothing surprises me anymore.
