<quoted text> Clearly, you are clueless because health professionals have determined second hand smoke IS unhealthy. Put a few burning cigs in a glass jar with the lid on for a few weeks and see what's left. You will feel a sticky carcinogenic substance that is the same stuff that sticks to the lungs of anyone, including children. See how long a living plant can survive constant exposure.....it will start dying in a few weeks. See how long it takes white curtains to turn a dingy tobacco stained brown when constantly exposed to cigarette smoke. If you can't see the obvious, there is little left to say except that you may qualify for a disability.
Some people are more prone to addictions than others so your comments are incorrect. Addictions may be physical and/or emotional. Victims can be defined as those who become involuntary smokers because they are exposed to second hand smoke. Children are usually unable to leave a smoking environment because they are in the care of an adult. This is why smoking should be banned where children may be present. There are also issues with second hand smoke in bars because toxins in the air would be in violation of OSHA.
While I abhor govt. interference, I do not feel this is an issue that compromises our liberties. Oscumma and his politically driven IRS minions should be forced to sit in smoke filled rooms until they need to use their commie obamacare. By the time they see a doctor, it won't matter.

No. E-cigs are mostly water vapor. Just like a wet fart. The problem lies in the part that is NOT water vapor. E-cigs contain nicotine, which in addition to being a drug is also a powerful poison. Nicotine affects the cardiovascular system in deleterious ways. Smokers like e-cigs because it gives them a fantastically quick fix for the drug effects of nicotine. If you really need nicotine that bad, you can always buy a cigar and insert it into your rectum. This will allow you to get nicotine into your bloodstream quickly and allow your brain to react to the nicotine, which by now you should recognize as a mood and mind altering drug. If it was not a mood and mind altering drug, you would not need it. No one really cares that YOU think ecigs are harmless. Most people recognize that the primary reason for vaping is to inhale a poison. Just because YOU may want to inhale a poison does not mean others around you want to. So, again, if you really need that nicotine fix, just take that cigar and shove it.

Most of these smokers are low enough that they would do it for the dog if someone told them there was a cigarette in it for them.

I've seen smokers pick up still lit butts off the ground after someone dropped them so they could get in the last few drags. Talk about an addiction.

What one does with their body is their choice - isn't that the leftist chant? Why doesn't it also apply here? Why are you so concerned with what others do?

And I'm STILL waiting on that proof that anyone else is affected........

Pros for e-cigs: so far do not appear to smell bad and folks will not be littering

Con: the second hand fumes are an unknown. As much as I would like for folks to have the freedom to use e-cigs anywhere, because we do not know the effects of the vapors, it cannot be allowed unless it is for sure safe.

I grew up in a house with a heavy smoker. Absolutely hated every minute of it. I smelled like cigarettes and had no control over it. It made me very nauseated to the point that I did throw up and was then blamed for being weak. Now when I walk by anyone who is smoking outside a doorway that I must go through, it does set off some very bad emotions.

I am so thankful that smoking is not allowed in public buildings, airplanes, restaurants, etc. For those who are not old enough to remember, there was a time that a child really could not avoid second hand smoke at home or when they were out in public. Even some classroom teachers smoked right in the classroom and if you walked by the teacher's lounge it reeked.

So for those who are finding the idea of government controlling people, this is one area where government needed to step in because adults were not. If people were the considerate thinking creatures we were supposed to be, such government intervention would not be needed.

A leftist chant? What a bozo and hypocrite. Those who seek health the same as those who applaud and support the ruining of health? You've been smoking too many butts you find on the ground.

At least I don't support faulty product use. Society has long protected people from themselves. That's why you can no longer drive with the wife and kids in the back off the pick up so your dogs can ride up front with you.

e-cigs or illegal aliens.

Which is more harmful to society?

Obviously, in Chicago, it is e-cigs as they welcome illegals with open arms.

It has nothing to do with harm to society.

It has everything to do with what leftists like and don't like, and nothing more.......
