Every time I hear this guy's name, I immediately remember the old Sam Rayburn (or was it LBJ) story about Inuoye.

Seems war hero Inuoye (he lost an arm,) entered the Capital building on his first day as a newly elected congressman, and he is met by Speaker Rayburn (Mister Sam). So, Rayburn sticks out his hand and says nice to meet you Congressman Inuoye.

A big smile comes over Inuoye - for Mister Sam knows who he is. Inuoye says, so you know who I am, hu?

Mister Sam says, of course I do. How many one armed Japs do you think we have around here.

Yep, you have to wonder when he joined the dark side. Who will hide Obama's COLB now?

No, it was whoever was Speaker when Inuoye was first elected to the House. Pretty sure it was Rayburn.

We are losing over 1,000 WW2 vets a day. I hope what they did and accomplished will never be forgotten. My dad served in the Pacific and was at Iwo Jima and Okinawa and lived through two kamikaze attacks on his ship.

Anyone who loved the Yankees 1990s-2000s success should thank Sen Inouye - he was key to financing it!
