Republican strategist Mike Murphy chided what he called “the stupid wing of the Republican Party.”

Gallup found earlier in the month that just 28 percent of Americans reported a favorable opinion of the GOP, its lowest rating since the firm began such polling about the two parties in 1992.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a tea party favorite, hinted at primary challenges for Republican incumbents “from sea to shining sea” just hours after Congress voted to end the shutdown.

“Friends, do not be discouraged by the shenanigans of D.C.’s permanent political class,” she wrote on her Facebook page.“Be energized. We’re going to shake things up in 2014.”

Of course "shake" your poll numbers down to 14%.

Go Sarah!

I left the good old U.S. Of A 32 years ago to work in the Oil fields of South America, Africa, and the Middle East as a Hydrologist (Palin, you can look that word up on Wikipedia). When I left, there was political discourse in the country, but it was relatively civil on both sides of the aisle, with politicians striving to reach agreements to help the populace. Upon my return to the U.S. after retirement, I have been truly shocked at the ignorance, bad manners, and stupidity of the GOP extremists. As a long time Republican, I have always believed in the GOP's pro business and smaller government focus on issues. However, it has become quite apparent that a small faction has taken the party hostage because they REFUSE to change with the times and work with persons of color. I was APPALLED when McCain selected an ignorant and unqualified Palin for running mate as she bumbled her way through the debates. I was horrified that any party would actually consider putting her in a position of political power, as she is ignorant on the ways of the world and lives in her own little universe of short sided, backward thinkers. I voted Democrat for the first time to help save this country from ignorance and small mindedness, and to prove to my friends world wide that America is NOT as stupid as Palin appears to be. The GOP has made itself the party of ignorance, racism, hatred, and turmoil, while the Democrats have selected highly intelligent, educated and competent people for their tickets
That are trying to deal with current social issues. I invite the GOP to eliminate these fanatics that are ruining my party so I may vote for sensible and responsible conservatives WHO WILL COMPROMISE AND NOT SHUT DOWN OUR GOVERNMENT WHEN IT IS NEEDED MOST. I invite the GOP to remove the narrow minded thinkers of the party that are clueless on how they are perceived worldwide. I encourage the GOP to take a hard look at the Bush's, Cheney, Rumsfield,
Palin, Cruz, etc... And see how they have forever ruined this country's reputation and worldwide good standing.

You have got to give 1/2 Governor Palin high numbers for her desperate attempts to stay in the limelight especially when handing out flags at a protest where she and her fellow teabags were roundly criticized for using the vets as political pawns. Ironic after palin said - "Stop Using Vets As Political Pawns.

If she was smarter she would think before spewing and at least see the irony of her jumbled salad sentences!
