For fiscal 2013, the GOP-controlled House proposed spending $1.934 billion for the State Department's Worldwide Security Protection program -- well below the $2.15 billion requested by the Obama administration. House Republicans cut the administration's request for embassy security funding by $128 million in fiscal 2011 and $331 million in fiscal 2012.(Negotiations with the Democrat-controlled Senate restored about $88 million of the administration's request.) Last year, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that Republicans' proposed cuts to her department would be "detrimental to America's national security" -- a charge Republicans rejected.
Ryan, Issa and other House Republicans voted for an amendment in 2009 to cut $1.2 billion from State operations, including funds for 300 more diplomatic security positions. Under Ryan's budget, non-defense discretionary spending, which includes State Department funding, would be slashed nearly 20 percent in 2014, which would translate to more than $400 million in additional cuts to embassy security.
What does your research tell you about Joe Biden claiming Bush's wars and not being able to pay for them got us in the shape we are in today and he swears he voted against them. When his votes were researched it came to light that indeed every time the vote came up to fund these wars Biden voted yes. You can only excuse his dumb ass for his memory lapse and lies for so many things and then it's time to call his old crazy ass on them. What type of booze or drugs do you think the old fool was doing during the debates? Is this who you are comfortable with stepping up and taking charge if the president wouldn't be able to lead? lol Obama hasn't been able to lead for 4 years and even he wouldn't want crazy Joe at the reigns.

Obama and crazy Joe are history. 4 in and out and halleluiah, we get our country back and Hollywood gets Obama and crazy Joe. They fit in and that's where they belong in a surreal world of pretenders and liars and drunks and drug addicts and money and blithering overpaid idiots.

2012 is the most important election in the history of the United States. We MUST get America back on track. If Obama wins, in my opinion, America will descend into 3rd world status. Our national debt will surpass 20 trillion dollars or more and dissent will be crushed. Iran will obtain nuclear weapons and Israel will be wiped off the face of the Earth. The US will face acts of domestic terrorism and inflation will reach 30% or higher.
Obama's goal is to shrink America. He wants to reduce America's footprint in the world because he thinks we are stepping on the world. He wants to redistribute money away from the rich and toward the poor. But we are not talking about the rich and the poor in America solely. We are talking about a redistribution of income away from the rich countries – America included – toward the poor countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Columbia, and so on." In fact, if one looks not very far back, Obama seemed fixated on the Brazilian oil industry, offering Petrobras oil company $2 billion in loan subsidies to encourage the very same kind of offshore oil exploration he deemed verboten in America. Ironically, Human Events noted that the president's offshore drilling moratorium had already cost the U.S. economy over a billion dollars and some 20,000 jobs at the time.
WE ARE DOOMED IF OBAMA IS REELECTED. NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, VOTE REPUBLICAN IN 2012!!!
I believe the majority of Americans realize that Obama has done damage to our great nation and wishes to do more. Even though they may no admit it publicly to their friends they will vote for Romney when they are in the booth and they will do it for the sake of their children.

Ya know AL, reading Your list there & how it's got "wiretapping" listed got me to thinking of all the "Next Generation Identification" (NGI) that's is currently being implemented. And has been underway since back in 2005, & is now now in "Unidentified locales" across the country.
In 2005 they said it would serve as an "upgrade" to "Integrated automated Fingerprint identification System" (AFIS), that keeps track of criminal records. But it has obviously gone way beyond that idea.
Back then the agency insisted it would "be able to provide services to enhance Interoperability between "stakeholders" (hmmm) at ALL levels of government, including, local, state, federal, & international partners". In doing so though, the article I read says, " the gvmnt is now going ahead with linking a database of "images & personally identifiable info" of ANYONE in their records with depts. around the world thanks to technology that makes fingerprint tracking seem like kid stuff"!!!
A 2006 report said,"latent services, facial recognition & Multi-Modal Biometrics areas that 'will allow the FBI to establish a terrorist fingerprint identification system compatable with other systems: increase accessibility & number of the IFAS terrorist fingerprint records & provide latent palm print search capabilities".
However, during a 2010 presentation......
Wait a minute..... To be continued.

In my opinion everyone in the nation needs to see this video.
This video made by the U.S. Navy Seals may cost Obama his second term in office. It's just incredible how effective this video is in convincing Americans that Obama is a very serious national traitor. History will judge him negatively for 1,000 years. Incredibly powerful video! Senior CIA, FBI, Military and many other U.S. government intelligence officials describe for the viewer how Obama has compromised U.S. national secrets and the very serious consequence of those actions. And what's worse, he did it all for political gain so he could win a second disastrous term in office.

Ok the article I read goes on to talk about a 2010 presentation by the FBI's Biometric Center of Intelligence where they talk about why the facial recognition technology needed to be "embraced. Specifically the FBI said the technology could be used for "identifying subjects in 'public datasets'",as well as " tracking subject movements." The article stated their take on this was that NGI was "more than" just mug shots mixed up with fingerprints. It said their surveillance capabilities were unheard of outside of science fiction.
Also, " New Scientist" reports in their study that "the technology used by NGI to be accurate in picking out suspects from a pool of 1.6 million mug shots 92% of the time. The system was tested on trial basis in Michigan (2010) & already been cleared for pilot runs Washington, Florida, & North Carolina.

And Thomas Bush III (he helped develop NGI's sys. Requirements) said:" The idea was to be able to plug & play with these identifiers & biometrics. With those items being collected without much oversight being administered, though, putting the 'personal facts' pertaining to millions of Americans into the hands if some 'playful pentagon staffers' only begins to open up civil liberties issues."
A guy named Jim Harper whose with the Cato Institute adds to "next Gov" that "investigators pair facial recognition technology with "PUBLICALLY available 'Social Networks' in order to build bigger profiles. Facial recognition is More accurate with a 'Goggle or a Facebook', because they will have anywhere from a half dozen pictures of an individual, whereas the FBI has maybe 1or 2 mugshots." He continues by saying, "when these files are then fed to law enforcement agencies on local, state, federal & international levels, intelligence databases that include 'interests' can be shared among offices."
Senator Al Franken said, " once someone gets 'YOUR' face print, they can get your name, find out your social networking account & they can FIND & TRACK 'You' in the stores you visit, the government buildings you enter, the photos your friends post online."
To be continued.

I bet most of them are glued to their electronic devices because we all know they just can't live with out tweeting and their FB page is like their whole life. lol
4 American families are burying their loved ones that were murdered by terrorist on September 11th 2012. They are heartbroken. Adding insult to their heartbreak is an American government hiding facts and blaming anything but terrorism so as to make sure they lose no popularity at the voting polls over this latest "bump in the road" according to the democrats. And the youth of America must agree because nobody is tweeting about "that stuff". Wanna know what your college educated kids are tweeting about and excited about? Having a million person protest and march to make sure BigBird continues to receive tax dollars. Tax dollars, that if no longer handed to PBS, would not affect BigBirds show at all but would go to other programs that really need that money.
When you say your prayers this morning and are thanking God for his many blessings be sure and thank him for your politically correct moron children. Thank him for a president that claims ignorance on any type of terrorism because he stopped terrorism months ago. Or at least that's what he told us. Maybe if Obama had actually attended an Intelligence briefing as the president is required to do he would know about these things and couldn't constantly use the ignorance excuse. I bet Obama can tell you many details about his briefing on appearing as eye candy on The View. He can tell you what Barbara Walters was going to ask him and what Whoopie Goldberg was wearing and how much Joy Behar was slobbering and what the ratings were afterwards. I bet he can tell you how many laughs he got on Letterman and how much Hollywood money he raked in when partying with Jay Z and Beyonce. But the president still can't tell you if the murders of 4 American citizens were by terrorists or by a spontaneous group of protesters outside our American Embassy even though there is proof that there were no protesters outside our American Embassy that day.
Be proud that most democrats and your talking head children are rightfully concerned with protecting the image of a president and his entire administration that lies and be proud that they care so much about life and freedom and the truth and the threat of terrorism that they are willing to tweet and gather a million people to march for the safety of BigBird. Maybe they can protest about BigBird at the same time the families are burying an American that was murdered by the hands of terrorists and we can all hold hands and sing a BigBird song. Peace on earth. Thank you president Obama for shutting down terrorism and thank you for demanding and getting the United States of America respect from countries all around the world.
We have so much to be thankful for and so many reasons to be proud of our millions of children who give up their time to march for BigBird. You should feel so blessed.

Vote Republican:
The Republican Congress has refused to eliminate the $8 billion subsidy for the 13 billion gallons of corn ethanol mandated by the 2007 Energy Independence and Security Act introduced by the GOPers. Producing this ethanol uses 5 billion corn bushels, 40 percent of our total crop. That takes more than 30 million prime crop acres for about 7 percent of our gasoline supply.
A162 gallons of water are required to produce a gallon of ethanol from corn. Drier states with more irrigation use even more water, with Kansas and Nebraska requiring 500 water gallons per ethanol gallon. Much of that water is drawn from the Ogallala Aquifer.
The nation's high corn prices are devastating America's Trillion dollar dairy industry to the point where farmers can't afford to feed their cows - and their professional trade organization has been regularly referring despondent dairymen to suicide hotlines.
Experts in the industry estimate that by year's end California, the largest dairy state in the nation, will have lost more than 100 dairies to bankruptcies, foreclosures and sales. Milk cows are being slaughtered at the fastest rate in more than 25 years because farmers need to save on corn costs.

Vote Democrat:
17 Million children can no longer be denied care for their pre-existing condition!

Vote Republican:
Come on guys let’s start another war, let’s vote for Romney the war hero!
Republicans in the Senate are pushing to pledge unconditional support for Israel’s war on Iran! Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is planning to press the Senate next month to pledge U.S. troops, money, and political support to Israel should Netanyahu launch a "preventive" war on Iran. This is what it used to mean to be a colonized country, your resources are pledged to another – control of them is transferred to the discretion of another. So folks. The idea that we might be able to have some tiny bit of privacy is no longer a possibility.
Carnegie Mellon (university professor) said, " the convergence of face recognition,'Online social networks', & data MINING has made it possible to use PUBLICALLY available data & inexpensive technologies to produce sensitive "inferences" merely starting from an anonymous face." He said " the combination of face recognition, social networks, & Data Mining can significantly undermine current notions & expectations of privacy & anonymity."

I'd have to wholeheartedly agree. Scary stuff that some idiot out their can "infer" whatever their in the mood to "infer" when they look at what we've been saying or where we've been visiting online. And obtain all our pics to go along with it!!

By the way, as of July 18, 2012, the FBI reports,"the NGI" program is on scope, on schedule, on cost, and 60% deployed."

Too late now now for us Americans though. We cannot keep the FBI from interfering with seemly EVERY aspect of our lives, both public & private!

“I don’t trust Romney. He shouldn’t make my son’s death part of his political agenda. It’s wrong to use these brave young men, who wanted freedom for all, to degrade Obama,” Ms. Doherty said.
These are the words from the Mom of one of the former Navy Seals, killed in the US Consuate attack.....
Romney was using his death and chance meeting in his campaign speeches! The way Romney was describing their meeting was totally different than the way Doherty's friends remembered their friends remarks about it at the time of the event!
Some people will, lie, cheat and steal to get elected!!
You know I think it is sad that anyone could take his statements in a negative light. It is a shame!

Beginning with an account of how the Romney family was invited to a neighborhood party through a letter in the mail, Romney explained how– though they didn’t originally intend to go– they changed their minds after seeing all the lights and cars just across the street.

He related what a good time they had, how they were fed and met new people, before saying with laughter:“Turns out this wasn’t the neighborhood party…This was a family, having a party with their friends.”

At that party, though, Mitt Romney was able to meet a man from his home state of Massachusetts, a former Navy SEAL.

“You can imagine how I felt out when I found out he was one of the two former Navy SEALs killed in Benghazi on September 11,” he continued, choking up,“and it touched me, obviously, when I recognized this young man that I thought was so impressive lost his life in the service of his fellow men and women.”

Romney continued, saying he heard Doherty and his colleagues were actually across town when the violence began.

“They didn’t hunker down where they were in safety – they rushed there to go help,” Romney concluded with emotion.“This is the American way – we go where there’s trouble. We go where we’re needed. And right now we’re needed– right now, the American people need us.”

I do not give a hoot about the budget. Any logical human being can see that when you have American lives at stake, you do what you have to. You move military from other areas of the world which are not dangerous such as France, Sweden, Finland, etc. I don't think these Embassys are in as much need for security as the terrorist hot bed of Libya! Give me a break! Obama can spend billions on bankrupt solar companies, but can't move some military to save American lives????? It is unexcusable!!!!!!!!!!

The mother of one of the Navy SEALs killed in the raid on a U.S. consulate in Libya has criticised the administration for its slow response to the massacre earlier this month.

More than two weeks after the apparent terrorist attack in Benghazi which killed ambassador Chris Stevens along with three other officials, an FBI investigation team has yet to enter the city.

Cheryl Croft Bennett, whose son Tyrone Woods died alongside his comrade Glen Doherty while trying to protect consulate staff, took to Facebook to denounce the lack of progress in uncovering the circumstances behind the raid.

David Axelrod on White House response to Libya attack; Ed Gillespie defends Romney tax plan

...

AXELROD: Chris, I assure you that the president was in contact with all those who had information and responsibility in the national security chain about this incident. Again, let me stress, there isn't anyone on this planet who feels a greater sense of responsibility for our diplomats, for our service people, who takes this more personally than the president of the United States. And he's determined to get to the bottom of what happened, to bring these killers to justice, these terrorists to justice and to make sure that whatever adjustments we have to make we make.

WALLACE: Well, you talk about responsibility and the president's care, let's look at what deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter had to say this week about the attack in Libya that killed the four Americans.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STEPHANIE CUTTER, OBAMA 2012 DEPUTY CAMPAIGN MANAGER: The entire reason that this has become this political topic it is, is because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

WALLACE: Do you really believe, David, that the concern over Libya is just politics that's been ginned up by the Romney campaign?

AXELROD: Look, I think there are two separate issues. Obviously, there is a serious issue here. We've just been discussing it for several minutes and it's an essential matter that we get to the bottom of what happened, that we bring the terrorists to justice. This president is totally committed to that.

There is a separate issue of how Governor Romney handled it. I refer you back to the famous 47 percent tape in the spring, where Governor Romney told in private, told his supporters that he was waiting for a crisis, waiting for an incident, to jump in on national security, and, he did.

He jumped in right away the day of these attacks, with half information in a way that was denounced by both Republicans and Democrats. And there is no doubt he is working hard to exploit this issue and I would point to the fact that this morning, in Bloomberg News, Chris Stevens' dad said that he regretted that people were trying to exploit this issue.

AXELROD: And I think we ought to follow the lead of the ambassador's family and allow this investigation to run and get to the bottom of it. And, make the adjustments that are necessary.

By the way --

WALLACE: Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. David, wait a minute.

(CROSSTALK)

AXELROD: This interview --

WALLACE: This is the first U.S. ambassador that has been killed since 1979. Susan Rice came on this show and five others and gave the American people a story that turned out not to be true, and you are saying we shouldn't discuss this. That we should wait for the investigation to be completed?

AXELROD: No. No.

WALLACE: That's what you just said.

AXELROD: That's obviously -- Chris, calm down, that's obviously not what I am saying.

WALLACE: You said that we should follow the lead of Chris Stevens' father --

AXELROD: I'm happy -- I'm happy to discuss it with you. And I do think that it is worthy of discussion. I think that's different than the manner in which Governor Romney has conducted himself.

And it's not just me who attacked him for the way he handled this. He was roundly criticized by people from right to left, the Republican establishment and the Democratic establishment.

WALLACE: You are talking about what he said the day after the attack.

AL, it might interest you to know you're not the only one with "computer issues" or problems. I found it curious how ONLY when I was commenting on a thread that a "particular" poster also posts on quite a lot, & only on the threads this poster had commented on..... I'd have computer problems.
I got sick of it happening repeatedly. So I just recently asked someone I know whose employed with the FBI if they would try to look into it for me. This person actually works in the computer crimes division & though they are busy, really got ticked some of us are being bothered because we state our opinion. So he says he will address it & see what he can find.
He also reminded me of how nowadays all our computer & phone TOS agreements clearly state how IF a person causes interruption or bugs, viruses, or otherwise invades the privacy of others while using "their service" they can be barred from having service with them again and disconnected. Not to mention prosecuted depending on how severe the infiltration & misuse has been to another.
We will see what comes of it.

When I clicked on the Topix "politix" thread the other day, I was about to register as requested, but when my dogs went ballistic I had to attend to them & so I just Xed out of the site. The moment I did that, my computer went nuts. Would not work at all. Etc etc. I wanted to report that to Topix but of course didn't want to risk another computer invasion. So they didn't get my registration to use that site & probably won't now. You'd think they'd address something like that themselves & kick the jackazz off topix altogether.
