Wow. After being to Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Kuwait, Lebanon, etc. I'm sure he's a likely candidate for PTSD. It did say that he retired last month for unspecified health reasons.

It's his second election, and despite the whole Donald Trump thing, you still haven't moved past that yet? Also, what the heck does that have to do with this article?

I feel sorry for him, after some of the places he's been posted, he may just be a little shell shocked. I hope, if he has a drinking problem, that he will get help for it. "There but for the grace of God go I" it could be any of us in this situation, only the petty and mean spirited would use this to attack an entire group of people, right Responsibility? You picture and name are directly under the words petty and mean spirited in the dictionary.

Just FYI - in all I could find, Responsibility, on Mr. Crocker, nothing identified him as either R or D but given the fact that he's a native of Washington state, it's more than probable that he is a D or at bet an I.

"Ryan Clark Crocker (born June 19, 1949) is a Career Ambassador within the United States Foreign Service and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He was the United States Ambassador to Afghanistan from 2011 to 2012; the United States Ambassador to Iraq from 2007 to 2009; he previously served as the U.S. ambassador to Pakistan from 2004 to 2007, to Syria from 1998 to 2001, to Kuwait from 1994 to 1997, and to Lebanon from 1990 to 1993. In January 2010 he became Dean of Texas A&M University's George Bush School of Government and Public Service.[2] He was nominated by President Barack Obama in April 2011[3] to serve as the next U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan and was confirmed to the post by the United States Senate by unanimous consent on June 30, 2011.[4] In July 2012 he stepped down, as announced in May due to unspecified health reasons.[5][6]

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell called Crocker "one of our very best foreign service officers";[7] President George W. Bush called him America's Lawrence of Arabia and noted that General David Petraeus had said that "it was a great honor for me to be his military wingman."[1]"

We all must begin to prepare for the very real possibility that Americans may be so worthless and ungrateful for the blessings of being American that they might vote for Obama over Romney.
If any one doubts that some prefer Failure to Success they should check out what remains of soon to be insolvent California.
Jerry Brown ran on a platform of leaving nothing but high unemployment, bone crushing deficits, and extinction level debt to the next generation and the CA voters chose to do that to their OWN kids.

We all must begin to prepare for the very real possibility that Americans may be so worthless and ungrateful for the blessings of
being an American that they might just elect another George W. Bush-type administration with Romney and Ryan doing what Bush and Cheney did, that is, driving this country off another cliff by
destroying the economy, getting us involved in another phony war
and allowing terrorists to pull off another 9/11 attack.

God help us.
