Q: How many Democrats does it take to screw in a light-bulb?

A: Just one to explain that everything possible is being done, while the rest screw it into a water faucet.

Funny thing about AC Voltage, what's not used is wasted because you can't store it, like you can with DC.

Phased out and no longer allowing them to be manufactured in this Country. LOL, yeah sure like America makes it's own light bulbs.

And another thing. With all these energy efficient appliances that use less energy why is my utility bill 20 times higher than it was 10 years ago?

We need Congresspeople and Senators, who will negate the constant shuffling of ownership of American utility companies to enrich each subsequent owner, especially if foreign. We need to make it illegal for foreign entities (whether American interests acting as foreign companies, or not) to own domestic utilities, and to reverse retroactively any ownership of utilities by any foreign entity. We need to elect State representatives and governors willing to actually have consumer boards overseeing utilities to actually perform their duties to protect the consumers. We need to reverse the double taxation occurring on utility bills, such as education taxes, which are already paid by property owners in most instances. People need to wake up to the tricky maneuvering, self-sustaining ethics and sweetheart deals of our representatives. In most instances, our forefathers already paid for the universal distribution of utilities to the people of the US. Privatizing those interests to benefit the few stockholders and the companies themselves as paramount is not respecting the taxpayer purchased interests and consumer needs of our nation. We need to return all basic utilities in the nation to the same status prior to the 1950s.

You know mealy mouth, when you hear it. Develop some backbone and have representatives, who actually represent you and your basic needs.

We thank Michelle Bachmann, unquestionably the paragon of human intellectual development and insight, for having the courage to declare that Americans are smart enough to choose their own light bulbs. I'l like to nominate that to the list of her most memorable quotes.

There are people who purchased many real light bulbs before the Commisar took them off the market. My grandfather has enough to last of years, or at least long enough for the Government to reverse its decision to use the full power of the U S Government to help you decide what kind of light bulb to use.

Other funny thing about AC is you can send it over distances without significant loss, vs DC

I keyed a libs Volt at starbucks the other night, then went inside to tease him about, and see what kind of man he was. The place was full of ponytailed ex-hippies, but I found him. He was sitting there in his birkenstocks, sipping a double espresso cappuccino latte and bashing Bush on the wifi. When I told him about his car, he fainted and soiled himself. tough guy....typical

We the People don't believe in science. Never have, never will. It's just a liberal conspiracy and, of course, all President Obama's fault. God gave us electricity and recommends burning at least a 60 watt incandescent bulb to illuminate Satan's darkness.

Benghazi, Benghazi, IRS, F&F and Benghazi.

What because a liberal judge is doing as Obama and changing laws passed by congress. The Supreme Court will throw him and his decision out with the other trash.

i don't like the CFLs either. this law has nothing at all to do with them. why are you so uninformed about this?

in fact, this law was created to give consumers that do not want to use CFLs another choice for energy efficient bulbs, which it did, with the bulb industry's support...

do try to keep up , dear...
