If you are not smart enough to learn how to punch a ballot, you should not be allowed to vote. Idiotic. "Looks ya onna, we be disfranched cuz it be to hard to punch us a ticket. We be calling dis racial."Jeb Bush blamed for unfair Florida election
Civil rights commission says minorities were disenfranchised by governor's 'gross dereliction' in ignoring problems

Thousands of black electors in Florida were disenfranchised in last November's election by an electoral system tainted by "injustice, ineptitude and inefficiency" a leaked report by the US civil rights commission says.
It accuses Governor Jeb Bush, the president's brother, and his secretary of state, Katherine Harris, of "gross dereliction" of duty, saying they "chose to ignore mounting evidence" of the problems.
The eight-strong commission, whose report will be published on Friday, found that black voters were "10 times more likely than white voters to have their ballots rejected", and pointed to the use of a flawed list of felons and ex-felons to purge the voting rolls.

Election Suit Goes Forward
Civil Rights Groups Seek Changes In Florida Voting
MIAMI, Aug. 17, 2001 http://tinyurl.com/2qsthd
(CBS) A lawsuit filed by civil rights groups who contend black voters were disenfranchised last November won't come to a quick resolution.
U.S. District Judge Alan Gold has denied motions by Secretary of State Katherine Harris to dismiss the suit and by a county elections supervisor for a summary judgment. The judge's order was filed Tuesday.
The lawsuit, which included complaints from the Nov. 7 presidential election, asked the judge to eliminate punch-card ballots used in 25 counties, fix the state's system for purging voter lists and monitor Florida elections for 10 years. There was no effort to overturn the results of the presidential race won by George W. Bush.
"We're pleased the court ruled the way it did," said Anita Hodgkiss, an attorney with the Lawyers' Committee For Civil Rights Under Law. "All of these were important steps for us."
Harris, state elections chief Clay Roberts and county election supervisors were named in the suit. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2001/01/11/pol...

Yes ... that's going a tad over the edge in order to blame absolutely everything in the world bad on whites. He probably learned that on the mothership with Farrakhan. And to think Obama called this man his spiritual mentor, his uncle ... and his minister for 20 years. Really gives you so much confidence and warm fuzzies for President Obama ... doesn't it? I really think Barack and Michelle also believes this warped theology. |

LOL!!! Well---all I can say is throw the damned books away and do what feels right in your heart. Don't MAKE IT complicated. And when no one else is looking---especially your daughter---SCREAM in your pillow!!!! Hey---y aknow what? No parent is prefect whetehr you by into all this psyco babble or not. So why bother? I think you'll fare better in the end if you just love her unconditionally and DISCIPLINE her so she grows up knowing there are consequences for bad choices. That's just plain simple and realistic. |

I reside mostly in a Irish-American, Euro-American neighborhood with a splash of Canadian-Americans that have winter homes here.
We all pretty much shop in at a store that is owned by German-Americans that sell summer sausage in the winter time and winter wheat bread in the summer time. Recently we had a party and one of the new comers was a Puerto Rican-American with five small kids. The kids had a great time playing with some German-American kids and a Japaneese-American boy about their same age. When the party was over we all went to a movie and the theater is owned by a Nova Scotian-American who was born in New Glasglow however was educated In London and married a girl there before moving to the U.S.A. several decades ago, she is now a British-American. The question was asked by this wonderful and delightful British-American girl just what African-Americans think of Obama. One of the group, I believe Jim the New Zealand-American said 95% of the African-Americas thinks Obama is a White-American but are willing to vote for him anyway since African-Americans are not racists. |

THREE PEAS IN A POD:
BARACK OBAMA (1)“I found solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s (WHITE) race.” (2) "The emotion between the races could never be pure, even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race (WHITE) would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart." (3) "That hate hadn't gone away," he wrote, blaming WHITE PEOPLE, some cruel, some ignorant, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives." (4) "There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT and name names" (5) "So it’s not surprising then," said Sen. Barack Obama, "that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." Speaking about the white working class. (6) My grandmother is “a typical white person.” REV. JEREMIAH WRIGHT, Obama’s former “mentor and spiritual adviser,” who has preached Black Liberation Theology at Obama’s church for decades: (1)“White folks’ greed runs a world in need.” (2) 9/11 is a “wake up call to White America.” (3) "One 18-year-old white girl from Alabama gets drunk on a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and 'gives it up' while in a foreign country, and that stays in the news for months!" (4) Jesus was a “poor black man” who was “lynched”“Italian style” by “garlic nosed”“white people.” (5)“Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich, white people.” (6) After the 9/11 attack,“America's chickens are coming home to roost." JAMES H. CONE, founder of Obama’s religion, Black Liberation Theology, and mentor to Rev. Jeremiah Wright: (1) "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love." (2)“To be Christian is to be one of those whom God has chosen. God has chosen black people." (3) "While it is true that blacks do hate whites, black hatred is not racism." (4) "All white men are responsible for white oppression." (5) "Theologically, Malcolm X was not far wrong when he called the white man "the devil." (6) "If there is any contemporary meaning of the Antichrist, the white church seems to be a manifestation of it." |

1 Agreed. The 1990 Gun Free School Zones Act made it a federal felony for the lawful possessor of firearms, such as a hunter, sportsman or collector, to live within 1000 feet of a school. That 1000 feet requirement went out the window in United States v. Lopez. The point is, all legislators have to do to create a new class of "non-citizens", is to find ways to make every day things a felony. Lots of gun loving white boys don't know about this one until it's too late, the Lautenberg Amendment to the 1968 Gun Control Act makes the misdemeanor crime of domestic abuse interesting in that if a person becomes convicted or was ever convicted in the past, they can never possess a firearm again in their lifetime even though that person was not conivicted of a felony. In addition, the Lautenberg Amendment ushers in "ex-post facto" laws, which are strictly prohibited in the constitution. Most people think of a domestic abuse crime as one where a person punches their old lady in the face, however that is simply not true. If your spouse is taking the car keys and they are drinking and you grab them by the arm to keep them from leaving the house and it leaves a bruise, you go down for domestic abuse midemeanor and your gun rights go right out the window forever. People ought to think before they wish government intervention on others, some day it may just be their rights that go out the window and they never even knew they were gone. |

1 That ain't no unused law, I know of a 17 year old girl who wound up felony convicted for having sex with a 19 year old man and another 15 year old during a threesome...the 17 year old girl's mom found out about it and turned her daughter in to teach her a lesson, now mom wished she'd have never done it because her daughter is now a registered sex offender and can't find work and must live at home with momma forever. Good thing that girl's a convicted felon, because now that she's been through the wringer she can't vote to get the law changed. |

I thought felons could not vote in any state. Could be wrong but oh well, If you play you should pay.

1 Hey Buddy I can only imagine what you have been through and so I won't try and understand it. But I do believe that if any of these supreme court justices grandchildren were charged with any of these crimes I Betcha they would have found the loop holes to get them out in that case! Our government is going to hell in a hand basket, because everyone is so afraid of not being "politically correct" -- these people, who we pay to do a job, need to make sure they go back into their memory banks and remember what they promised to do for us. While the supreme court justices are nominated by the President, they need to also uphold the laws of the land. It shouldn't matter if you have money or not nor should it matter what color your skin are. Justice for one should be justice for all. I feel for you brother and those in the system. I praise God everyday that I've never been in the system. I don't believe I could handle it. Stand strong my brother. |

1 Oh give it up already! Being charged with a felony doesn't count ... you have to be convicted. How many get felony charges pled down? LOTS! Getting a felony conviction in the USA is not that easy. I dare say 95% of people with felonies had prior arrests and convictions. No one serves the entire prison sentence, and many serve only a third I repeat ... the problem of our justice system is not being too harsh ... it is too lenient! |

are all black people crooks? what the hell is going on here this has nothing to do with the race of a person ... |
