Well yeah, I guess shutting down the border would be a good idea. Though I'm not unbiased here. I'd like to see better border security all around. A shut down of the border would be a great starting point for this.

An appropriate response at our Mexican border is in place. The pandemic potential of this influenza outbreak isn't clear yet. Planning for this event was done long ago and a progressive response is underway now.

As usual, the Democratic response to a potential crisis is a day late and a dime short. But if the borders were closed, who would vote the Democrats in?

This whole thing was started by Obama and Minions in order to SHOVE UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE DOWN OUR COLLECTIVE THROATS.......just wait and see........in a few days, they will be voting on this "so-called" healthcare in the dead of night in a smoke-filled room.

Well we probably could not shut it down anyway. It's not like the only place to cross the border is at legal crossing points.

If we had secured out borders from illegal crossings, which is the constitutional responsibility of the federal government, then we could have a discussion of closing it or not. I don't think you can close something you don't have an effective door on.

It is like having a barn with one wall missing and thinking when you close the barn door it is secure.

Swine flu has already entered the U.S. Shutting down the border would serve no useful medical purpose.

Larry! This is what pisses me off about you Libtard!

You have absolutely no medical training, less epedemic expertise, however you are a liberal like Obozo, talk junk. Hopefully, this is just another scare, but you and I have kids. I prefer my cautious, responsible attitude to your irresponsible Libtard smart alleck know it all communist attitude.

I suspect you are just mimicking the liberal agenda of open borders so you can get votes. Larry, this is not about votes. Try to think logically Larry. Our kids depend on us. Get off the libtard bus Larry, for your own sake, and your kids. Are you proud of saddling them with your agenda? Are you proud of the example you set passing off responsibility to them?

Do you really have kids? I think you don't. As a father, how could you be so irresponsible?

I think it would be in our best interest to shut the border down completely indefinitely! Should have been done a long time ago. Anyway, those in charge won't shut it now, they are too worried about offending someone or appearing racist? Other countries can shut their borders down, nobody says anything? I thought the government was suppose to protect it's citizen? What if flu get so bad here there is a shortage of antiviral meds, will we have to share our meds with illegals who are technically criminals? I mean are you willing to have your kid die because of illegals using up USA supply of meds? Just a thought.
