In an annual family-friendly rite of spring, President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle kicked off the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, joining tens of thousands of youngsters and their parents in a day of racing, reading, sports and crafts on a breezy, sun-splashed South Lawn.

What a beautiful First Family we have in the White House; it was a special treat to see the First Daughters reading to a group of kids at this year’s event. What a great image the Democratic Party has to represent as the Party of “Family Values” as thousands came out to celebrate Easter with the President and his family… it is going to be great to continue to watch those beautiful girls grow up before our eyes over the next 4½ years of their father’s historic Presidency.
