I just want to clarify if you are talking about me. I cant see where Im from on here so I dont know bit Ive lived in Raleigh County all my life. I was born in Raleigh General Hospital. Never lived anywhere else lived in a couple different places around here 5 to be exact. Almost 32 years old now so my questions and concerns are valid.

If you arent talking about me then I apologize. I just want to make it clear that I am definitely a resident.

i mean really - you shouldn't have even responded. "weirdo" has no valid argument so instead they go for a non-sequitur. Can people potentially from Chicago not care about what happens in WV? Of course they can. It was either trolling, or a poor attempt at redirection. Don't fall for it.

Your right. I just wanted anyone who would fall right in line with them to know I am a citizen and my concerns are valid. Thank you though.

Moron... why use separate IDS! You state in half your posts you are from IL. Then bring another post under a different name. It means you are hiding. lol

Ok I'll bite.

I dont remember ever explicitly state I'm from Illinois post a link, I guess its likely someone else has the name as you can see I domt have a registered account.

As far as hiding I guess I have posted under different names in oother thread not this one. Sometimes my name just reflects how I'm feeling at the time. Either way what im saying is how Im feeling so its legit.

Its a shame you couldnt contribute something worthwhile to this thread. Instead you choose to question where Im from. Even if you disagreed with what I said it would have been more constructive.

I imagine who ever created topix thought it might be a good place to gather and talk about local issues. When in reality its just a lot of slander. It probably doesnt really matter to you whats going on in your town at least not right now. One day you may actually care.

Well there ya go. Your name does say Chicago ILL, so either you are in that location, or you are purposefully placing your location to e from there.

It does have something to do with this thread the way I see it. A bunch of liberal politic greeks coming over to our state manipulating elections. Obama, Chicago and now you. Go back to being a Yankee!

Ok well if you look back through my posts what do you disagree with. The fact I want to diversify WVs job market and thats with good jobs that pay well. Not bullshit minimum wage jobs. Im not manipulating anything. If anything I want people to look at if from both sides and make their own informed decisions. The manipulation you speak of comes from both sides of the aisle as they appeal to your emotions to try to get you to vote a certain way. I mean ruling out emotions is impossible and to a certain extent definitely needed its what makes us human.

I mean I know where Im sitting right now so I dont feel the need to defend that anymore. Really its jsut a waste of time but name one thing that you disagree woth me about. Then lets talk about it were probably not going to change each other minds but how else are we going to know what the others thinking. Hell if you agree with me on something lets talk about it. Then maybe others will join then we can discuss a way to accomplish this goal together and make a better place to live.

Or maybe we should just talk about whos pushin pills, doing pills, whos fuxkin who behind whos back, where gay people can go to have sex, how he heteropedos got caught again or any other mostly bullshit topic that doesnt do anything to solve real problems.

Shoulda been called gossipx!

Let me be quite clear to my fellow poster from Chicago. Worry about your own state before you try and change this one. How is that, or move back here and then make a difference.

As far as your half truth claims, inflation in this state, is not as high as the inflation in other states so the lower wages are still livable and you can't increase the wages when you have a bunch of people who are uneducated for those higher wages that really help the state grow.

In order to do that, we have to have businesses in this state who are willing to relocate to us. THAT won't happen until the State Government lower their taxes and better the interstate so that companies WANT to come here. All you are doing is force the small business owner to go out of business by raising their taxes to compensate via minimum wage raises etc...

I do not like Rahall, BUT he has the credibility that if he was to get off his BUTT, he would be beneficial. Your involvement does not fix the problem, it changes the problem. To fix the problem, the tax structure in the state has to be totally revamped. EPA removed, and the tax destruction of the Coal industry REMOVED.

But then again, Chicago politicians are the main reason these things exist. So get your people out or our state and let US survive.

Im not from Chicago but seriously EPA regulations go back to Clinton probably further than that. To claim Chicago politicians are the source of all your woes is incorrect. Obama is just a popular target at the moment. I think its bullshit that American jobs have been sent to China because regulations arent as stiff and wages not as high. All so politicians can have that fuzzy feeling that Americans arent polluting the Earth as much and they had a hand in it. When in reality we are just relocating the 00place we are polluting.
Also inflation isnt as bad in WV somethings do cost less. Somethings do coat the same though such as vehicles. Actually you can go to VA and probably get a better deal on a vehicle and a lot of that has to do with taxes. I dont know if the lower wages are livable they might be survivable as in your just working to survive and not much else.
Also the coal companies themselves have help restrict growth of other companies in the area. I mean if someone could make as much money as they could as a miner wihout the danger a lot probably would have. They need more meat for the grinder so to speak.
Really we should just tax companies nothing. Put all the burden on the citizens. You think 75% would be sufficient. Im sure companies would be just throwing money at they're employees then. Cause trickle down economics has worked so well in the past. Well it trickles down the first couple rungs then just kinda trickles off. It should just be called tricking economics cause it tricks everyone who thinks it might help those at the bottom. I think greed is a lot of the problem. Who knows maybe if I was at the top I might just need a bigger boat this year as well. Although raising the minimum wage is just a good excuse to raise everything else so that puts us back to zero.
As far as Rahall is concerned maybe a 15th term is the charm.

Chicago Politicians are the ONE of the problems of the COUNTRIES woes.

Coal has not restricted growth. That is absurd. Taxes are what restricts a company from coming to this state. The state government Which is by in large always been a Democratically owned state except for the Governorship.

Your butchering of the term Trickle Down economics is simply semantics. The fact is, a small business pays close to 65% of its earnings to taxing. The FACT is that if you raise taxes on a business, they do one of three things: 1) They increase the prices of their goods to offset the tax... so in the end the CONSUMER pays for the tax. 2) They lay off workforce so that they can remain competitive in the business they are in, offsetting the tax. 3) They relocate to where the market is less competitive and less tax structured.

GOVERNMENTAL greed is the problem. Address that first. Tell the government to stop forcing the American public to pay for things that they require us too. At one time, this country created close to 70% of its own product. Now it is less than 20% approximately.

Capitalism is what this country was founded on. CAPITALISM, not socialism. The Government needs to get out of everyones pocket, and allow people to EARN and KEEP what they work for. You want to simply give to a demographic from someone else's pockets.

Lastly, the "Bottom" as you so call it will always be taken care of. But why should they get phones, use govt assistance to have a better earnings than the middle class? Allowed to purchase fast food with the government welfare, be allowed to abuse what the government gives them. I guess my paying 200 usd for a monthly phone is a right for the person who gets the Obama phone.

Today Burger King announced they are considering to move their Corporation to Canada because of more favorable Corporate taxes.

Fix the federal government first. Get out of my pocket.

You obviously don't know anything about small businesses in WV. Payroll taxes are taxed the same no matter which state you're in except the few states which don't levy personal income taxes...which they make up in other taxes. Income taxes for small businesses which are either Schedule C or S-Corps are taxed on personal returns the same as any other state...and that is no where near 65% of earnings.

Governmental greed is NOT the only problem...ignorance and corporate greed are also problems. We have to pay taxes so that we have a military, police forces, emergency services, hospitals, clean air, schools....and when we have schools that teach everyone how to earn a living then we will be on the road to everyone being equal...and maybe then everyone can afford their own phone for emergencies and can purchase fast food without apologizing to anyone...especially to those who are buying fast food with money they should be using to pay the damned bills they owe.

When are we going to start treating others as equals, regardless of their color...we're all in this boat together...why can't we just get along?
