It seems any paranoid tom, paranoid dick and paranoid harry can own a gun. Luckily Suzie Q in this instance didn't have own.
See the difference, dear friend?
Yes, the difference is that even though she didn't have a gun, she used another implement to try and cause death. Wait a minute! I thought that if we take away the guns, the kooks would give up on trying to kill people.

I think somebody is trying to fool me. ;-/

Yep, just like the MSM ignores the epidemic black on white crime taking place daily in the US but waste no time exploiting the "rare" white on black crime.
This website will shock you at the shear amount taking place you never hear about.

According to the news, this woman was not armed - which goes to show that if she had been armed, there could have been more deaths of the security guys.
Is the NRA now propagandizing that if her 1-year old baby had a gun, her mother would still be alive? NRA, you are stupid and desperate enough ....
Sorry, but would you re-write your gibberish so that it makes sense?

Dear, I would guess you could do more damage in mere minutes with a gun than a car. But you know that, right?

You should probably ask the folks in New Town how efficient and quick and effective a gun can be and how a gun can "drive up" the death toll.

Cars can be used as weapons.

Imagine how much safer you'd be from guns if you stood in traffic.

Sure it can drive up the death toll and criminals know this.

Instead of taking a freak situation like New Town, I'll rely on national statistics that show violent crime and gun crime on the decline since Americans became more armed. If somebody blows up your garage with dynamite, do you blame the dynamite?

Hmmmm DC. Isn't DC one of those anti-gun places where the government resists it's citizens having and using firearms? Thinking back, it seems most all of these transcending events have one thing in common: firearm restrictions.

Yeah, I know I know. Taking firearms away from law biding citizens while leaving the criminals to be the only people armed is the liberal solution. Sorry you just can't follow such logic.

I still don't understand how the driver was such a threat she need to be killed. Is Obama that trigger happy? What is he so afraid of? What if he had sacrificed the child as well? There has to be more to this story.

Dear, so can scissors.

But guns are more efficient, quicker, easy to obtain and kill very efficiently.

Dear, I would guess that anyone of us would be "suspect" for running into barricades in Washington (or elsewhere) under this president or any other.

Most of us would also have got out of the car with our hands up so the cops knew we were not some gun hugging killer out to harm them.

Even a third grader could understand.

A quick bus ride or car drive can get you all the guns you paranoid folks need outside these "firearm restricted" areas.

You know that, dontcha?

What good are guns if you can't use them?

Changing subjects for a second, we were discussing that biker gang incident in NYC. In front of his wife and child, the father/ husband was removed from his vehicle and beaten in front of them.

My first thought was how that would likely never happen in my state. In my state if you have a CCW and are carrying your weapon in the car, breaking into somebody's automobile is no different than breaking into their home when occupied. BOOM! Our Castle Doctrine protects a firearm user in their vehicle.

Then I thought about where this all started: New York City, where people have been arrested and imprisoned for carrying their firearm on their person.

You see guns are not only good for when you are attacked, they are great for when somebody is contemplating an attack. An attacker would have to consider that the subject he is going to attack may very well be armed.

If the Trayvon Martin incident happened in your state, it may have likely ended the way the Rodney King trial did. But it happened in Florida where citizens are not only armed with guns, but with laws that protect those citizens in the event they have to use their firearm. That is the most important part.

Crime happens when there is not a strong enough deterrent to criminal activity. Don't believe me? Then have a sign made--the biggest sign you can have made, and have them print "THIS HOUSE CONTAINS NO FIREARMS" and hang that sign on your front porch. Then get back to us (if you're still alive) and let us know how it worked out for you.

Fine with me. But don't preach to us how we should adhere to your creed. I do want my gun, I do need a gun but I hope I never have to use my gun. But better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Responsibility, lost in the everyday venom that is spewed here, I will say that the police should have only killed the woman in Washington if they had no choice. If they could have apprehended her in any way, then that should have been the way to go. The congress was happy though. Police are to used to getting away with this and would have handled it different decades ago. We are numb to death here.
