Only a moron would be ignorant enough to dispute the accuracy of the President's claim that "4.3 million jobs over the last 27 months, over 800,000 just this year alone" is erroneous.
Only a delusion ignoramus would the BULLSH!T claim that "he spent all his effort on ObamaCare".
You prove that Fuxed-news watchers are completely brainwashed fools with the great ability to deny facts and make up BULLSH!T..
Yes, but like it or not, President Obama did say just what Fox-News and their ilk have pounced on... a slip up or not, just the type language that convinced me in 2008 that not only was Bush out of touch but McCain was likewise unelectable... that smug toss off that things are "fine".

Here's the whole quote, though, which hasn't been shown on this thread yet:

http://mediamatters.org/mobile/research/20120...

" The truth of the matter is that, as I said, we've created 4.3 million jobs over the last 27 months, over 800,000 just this year alone. The private sector is doing fine. Where we're seeing weaknesses in our economy have to do with state and local government -- oftentimes, cuts initiated by governors or mayors who are not getting the kind of help that they have in the past from the federal government and who don't have the same kind of flexibility as the federal government in dealing with fewer revenues coming in. And so, if Republicans want to be helpful, if they really want to move forward and put people back to work, what they should be thinking about is, how do we help state and local governments and how do we help the construction industry. Because the recipes that they're promoting are basically the kinds of policies that would add weakness to the economy, would result in further layoffs, would not provide relief in the housing market, and would result, I think most economists estimate, in lower growth and fewer jobs, not more..." -Obama

So, yes, Obama said much more than just that things are "fine".

As I just posted, a cleaer persepective, as well as complete Obama quote, can be found here:

http://mediamatters.org/mobile/research/20120...

"Media are diverting attention from the fact that Republicans are obstructing a jobs bill that economists estimate would create millions of jobs by fixating on President Obama's comments that private sector job growth is 'doing fine'..."

But still, little slip ups like these are the kinds of things that become gigantic mantras to be used, and believed, by the opposing side as proof that the speaker is "out of touch"... it was just such comments I often site as reasons why Bush was a poor role model for McCain in 2008 when *he* said things were "fine", and if elected McCain promised to give us "more of the same" as what Bush had delivered.

In other words... another big problem for Obama from such a small misquote.

Actually, according to what Obama himself says:

http://mediamatters.org/mobile/research/20120...

Obama wants to:

"...The President is proposing to invest $35 billion to prevent layoffs of up to 280,000 teachers, while supporting the hiring of tens of thousands more and keeping cops and firefighters on the job. These funds would help states and localities avoid and reverse layoffs now, requiring that funds be drawn down quickly. Under the President's proposal,$30 billion be directed towards educators and $5 billion would support the hiring and retention of public safety and first responder personnel."

Keeping teachers, cops and firemen at work sounds like a good plan, really, though I agree that's a lot of $$$, these folks do very important jobs, as even Republicans must agree..?

"...President Barack Obama's $447 billion job-creation plan would likely add 1.9 million payroll jobs and grow the U.S. economy 2 percent, a leading economist said..."

Looks like more attention needs to be paid to the details of what Obama is saying, rather than his admittedly Gerald Ford style flub up of language.

The "doing fine" flub up is the sort of the we usually expect from Biden, true... just as such twisted statements become expecyed from Bush, and for a short while, McCain.

A closer look at what Obama was saying overall that day is much more illuminating, and interesting:

http://mediamatters.org/mobile/research/20120...

"...President Barack Obama's $447 billion job-creation plan would likely add 1.9 million payroll jobs and grow the U.S. economy 2 percent, a leading economist said."

I don't understand how that is a gaffe.
I'm doing fine.
I don't know anyone who lost their job because of Obama.
None of our precious banks are going under.
Gas prices are down to $3.50 and the oil companies are still profitable.

I think the private sector is doing fine too.

Will, buddy. You are out of touch as well.
O"Bama promoted money for "shovel ready" work aimed at local and state governments that turned out to be "not so shovel ready.*chuckle*"- Obama The lie is that there were and are still shovel ready jobs that never saw that promised money for either infrastructure or school construction/repair. So HE failed state and local governments.
Second, state and local governments are hurting because...drum roll, please...revenues have dropped because of forclosures and a poor economy. It's the economy, stupid.(aimed at the messiah) Those same state and local governments don't see the need to reduce there budgets and expect the same revenue or more to run the same as usual.
Stop your worship of this poor president and see him for what he is; a charlatan.

Obama didn't "slip up" with his "private sector is fine" line. He truely believes it. Just yesterday it was reported that Obama was completely surprised to find out that his healthcare plan was actually hurting small business. He of course, was clueless about small business as is the norm for this president.

But let's face....Obama will very likely get another stimulus. Why, because Republican's will agree to it IF they get the Bush Tax Cut's expanded. Now I know I could be wrong but I really think that even if I'm wrong on what the Republican's will trade for the stimulus they will give it too him because it's a win/win for them. They can get the tax cuts expanded (which they want) and at the same time use the "look all he wants is to create more debt with stimulus when the last one didn't even work" tool against him.

I have no faith that either side is truely working for the American people and have long ago sold out to special interest and are only in the job to enrich themselves and their own bank accounts.

Bottom line though I believe Obama was not the man for the job and is way in over his head with the job of being president.

I disagree.

5 years ago when the housing bubble burst. Things in my area were bleak to say the least. New construction stopped. Lots of homes went into foreclosure. We had no tourist season. But since Obama has been in office, The gulf coast has been doing just fine.
The BP spill was a minor set back, but pressure from the Feds made BP put out a huge clean up effort and it worked.
I'm doing fine. If you are not, It's your fault not the president.
RePucklicans don't want to work for their money. They want it to just grow out of thin air, because they feel Entitled to 75% gains on their investments.

True, neither Obama or Romney thrill me much as a voter... and Gary Johnson as a third party alternative I've yet to fully investigate.

I haven't investigated Johnson much but what I have learned about him and watched of him, I like. The thing is when we vote third party now days we are basically throwing away a vote because there is not a large enough move to have a third party yet to actually get one elected. I wish we had another choice from both the dems and the republicans, but it just looks like a year where you have to go with the less damaging to the country because I'm not excited about either choice.

I think it's time for the third party movement to start working on the next election and keep it in the light of the news clear up until the actual kickoff of the next election. Let people know there could really be another choice and give them time to get to know who that other chioce is.

I've always agreed on the problems with a Third Party, and as with Anderson in 1980 and Perot in 1991, they tend to act more as "spoilers" than as valid players in thier own rights.

You probably have already seen this, but while I dig for more on Gary Johnson:

http://youtu.be/2X3QRSIXgns

"...Two-term Governor, Gary Johnson, says both parties are indistinguishable from one another. Both are keeping America broke. Both are keeping America at war. Both have trampled on the Constitution. And both are stooges to the same big money players that never change behind the scenes. It's time to put our differences and our parties aside and come together as a nation for the good of all. We The People are ready to LIVE FREE." -Gary Johnson 2012
