Desperation time for the desperate right-wingers who hate the thought of this historic President making history by doing something that no other President was able to do… reform health care.

The fact is that premiums will rise much higher without health care reform. The big difference is that under Obama’s/Democrat’s plan 30 million Americans will have health insurance, it will cut 190 billion from the deficit over the next ten years and no one can be denied coverage for preexisting conditions.

The right had complete control of the government for 8 years and they did nothing, I repeat nothing about health care, the boarder, debt or deficits; and now that real leadership is addressing the problems that face this nation the right has all the solutions, LOL… get out of the way or get steamrolled.
Looks like most of the tea-baggers got steamrolled yesterday… they barely had 300 people show up at the protest in Washington over HCR, LOL… PATHETIC.

my premiums will continue to rise with private health care insurance.

On top of that, the top up for medical visits rises too.

It's a tough world out there and health care is one of the tough issues in our country which ranks 57th in the world.

A number we should not be proud of - even in this tough world we live.

Derek, I think for some, it might be that they would prefer to lap up the "fundamentally sound" mantra that we heard before the election and we now know that our economy was in a shambles.

Gibsonton FL, a hamlet for poor ueducated white trash with uninformed opinions.

Here are some facts to enlighten you Jethro;

Active debate about health care reform in the United States concerns questions of a right to health care, access, fairness, efficiency, cost, and quality. Many have argued that the system does not deliver equivalent value for the money spent. The US pays twice as much yet lags behind other wealthy nations in such measures as infant mortality and life expectancy, though the relation between these statistics to the system itself is debated. Currently, the U.S. has a higher infant mortality rate than most of the world's industrialized nations(It should be noted that the US does include infants less than one year old, the only nation to do so).[nb 1][11] The USA's life expectancy lags 42nd in the world, after most rich nations, lagging last of the G5 (Japan, France, Germany, UK, USA) and just after Chile (35th) and Cuba (37th). The USA's life expectancy is ranked 50th in the world after the European Union (40th).[15][16] The World Health Organization (WHO), in 2000, ranked the U.S. health care system as the highest in cost, first in responsiveness, 37th in overall performance, and 72nd by overall level of health (among 191 member nations included in the study).[17][18] A 2008 report by the Commonwealth Fund ranked the United States last in the quality of health care among the 19 compared countries.

Why are we not surprised? The health insurance companies are currently doing what the credit card companies did when federal regulations put limits on how they did business. As soon as the law was passed, I was informed that my minimum payment would be 5% rather than the previous 2%. The up side of this is that I have been forced to pay back more and faster, and the cards are cut and filed as soon as they reach a zero balance.

Because the insurance industry will be required to have open enrollment, pre-existing conditions will be the least of their worries. The uninsured, when confronted with a health crisis, cannot be refused coverage, even, as one person said somewhat facetiously, they contact an agency from the ambulance.

Since the health care bill will place additional burdens on the insurance companies, they are already stockpiling through increases for existing customers.

One of the problems that has not been addressed is the fact that different states have different mandates for coverage. In Pennsylvania, subsidizing care and treatment for autism is mandated. There are also only a handful of companies licensed here and they have a monopoly. The idea of buying insurance across state lines, in this bill, sounds great, but competition would be disallowed if the out of staters do not conform to our state mandates.

If new policies are written to accommodate state law, there will be little, if any savings, for consumers.

Everything sounds so wonderful when interpreted by the silver tongued orator. Unfortunately, reality is much different than the illusion he is creating.

We will see higher everything with healthcare water carrier.
.
Keep in mind the government will have to get the money from somewhere else to make up for the revenue loss due to the health care tax credit.

Correction: President Obama reversed the tide which had us close to a second great depresson. The President helped stabalize the economy in very short order and gained worldwide trust from those we rely on as business partners and allies.

No more 5 dollar a gallon gas, the transfer of wealht has been slowed, the war on the middle class has been suspended, forclosures have been reduced and now he's attemting to stop the healthcare industy monopoly.

It will take much more than one year to further correct the 8 years of disaster created by Bush and the GOP in general.

It's amusing how the Democrats developed a new found respect for states rights with their health care plan.
