I see.
So NOW, you change your original claim and restrict it to only monetary.
I still call it a lie sir. You had parents. Right? They paid your way for quite a while. Right?

So now will you say that you never asked them to do so?
Are you the only "island" man unto himself that ever existed in the entire history of mankind?

So, are you suggesting a man canít manage financially without the help of a woman?
I am now, not only suggesting, but flat out saying, that you have metamorphosed right before our very eyes, into a strawman and taken this into the ditch.
I guess we are done on this point.

That is what I said.
You claim it can only be done by raising taxes and cutting spending.
I say that it can be done without raising taxes and solely cutting spending.
I also say it can be done by lowering taxes.
Lowering taxes spurs economic growth across the board.
Which is larger?
75% of $10, or 15% of $1,000?
No, I never made the claim it can only be done by doing both. Both are required to more rapidly reduce the debt. Have you ever looked at the cost to service the debt? Imagine the tax cut we could accomplish without that wasted expense.

Iím willing to pay more if itís used for reducing the debt and the government cuts spending. I pay a lot now and would gladly pay more if itís used properly.

Using $10 and $1,000 you are assuming 9,990% increase in taxable income. Very unlikely. Reducing the tax rate to obtain a greater tax base does work; you reach a point of diminishing returns though. I believe weíre already at the point of diminishing returns. Your numbers are nothing more than fantasy.

Now here's an interesting restatement of your original claim.
"At the end of the balance sheet we should have balanced trade or a surplus."
If a country has a commodity which is sorely needed by this country for whatever reason and purpose, but it is not found within our borders, we are to avoid making a purchase of that commodity unless and until they buy something from us, in addition to the purchase price of the original needed commodity, in return?
Surely you jest.
I did in fact read your post in it's entirity, and found it to be lacking, and it was rejected and explained as to why it was so rejected, as I have now done in various posts.
It is NOT a "balance" of trade that we need. It is free trade with others that is sorely needed.
Do you know what a balance sheet is?

OK, Iíll modify to appease you. From the moment I left my parents house Iíve never asked for a dime or accepted a dime of help from anyone. I was raised to never ask for help. Itís a disgrace.

Youíre getting a tad like Richard or Highlander.

<quoted text>That is sheer nonsense, even aside from the fact that Social Security is the people's individual money savings accounts, or so it was set up to be. It is NOT the fault of the people that their money - held in trust for them - was squandered and stolen from their treasury and spent on frivolous things. IT'S STILL THEIR MONEY, AND THEY DESERVE IT.
You also can not strip the captive audience of citizens,(those already entrapped within the medicare system) of what they have come to depend upon for their very lives and well being, without a suitable replacement for them.
Yes, by all means stop enrolling even more and more into that system, but you can not burn the citizens that are already within the trap.
What about those of your fellow citizens?
See what happens when people rely on the Government to take care of, and do everything for them?

A pretty irresponsible postion to take. It may be undesirable, but it is certainly not disgraceful. You get physically injured, you ask for help, no disgrace involved. You lose your job......and all of a sudden that is disgraceful? You look hard, find another job that does not pay as much, but you are working and eligable for food stamps......and that is disgraceful?

Disgraceful is being offered a job and turning it down because you don't feel it is necessary to work with all the support you are recieving.

Any adult working, trying to support himself is worthy of respect even if he is not fully self-succificient.

Nice to know that you think all those people ripped off by their CEO and losing their jobs at Enron were disgraceful if they needed assistance.

You are the loser here.

You have not been beat down enough yet for your stupid, idiotic position. More coming later.

Without going into a long drawn out argument over what is right or wrong, in your next post it is clear what you are saying.
I asked you to point out the $1,300,000,000,000 in cuts you would make to balance the budget. If you disagree with my solution, fine. Show us yours.
And if you are going to try and grow us out of it, how much growth is required over how long of a period? How much higher will the debt be when you finally balance the budget?
And don't forget to make it politically acceptable and I will agree that my method is not politically acceptable.........which is why you have to raise taxes.
exactly what does this socialist commie propaganda have to do with

How do you tax the 47% that don't pay taxes or get it all back or more, for that matter?
The 47 percent include the US military fighting in Afghanistan, sixty percent of the 47 percent work full time already, and 20 percent are seniors collecting SSI.

And there is no one who isn't paying taxes, dipstick.
