SEE HERE: There is ONLY ONE REASON to tax: SOMEONE ELSE is CONTROLLING the money supply.
WHAT do YOU not understand about that?
I understand that. Sales tax is necessary to maintain highways and infrastructure.
Personal income tax funds government jobs, freeloaders, and the few who actually need some financial assistance.
Cutting unnecessary government agencies and jobs, and implementing a flat tax of roughly 15% with no deductions or exemptions would get us on the road to eventually lowering income taxes to a % you could count on one hand.
Regardless of what you say, there is no way to just stop collecting taxes one day and the country survive.

Neither are fetuses.
Why is it so hard for tea baggers to understand what is human life?
PS: It isn't hard to have a set of tax rules governing corporations. It's been that way for about 150 years.
I do not consider myself a teabagger, but I also do not understand what you think human life to be.
How about you educate me on that matter?
What is this human life you mention?

I suspect the country would survive. The current structure of government would not however survive. Is that bad?

Not my interpretation, what Romney has said. He will cut marginal rates by 20% across the board. This would indicate that a 10% marginal rate will fall to an 8% marginal rate.

A 35% marginal rate will fall to a 28% marginal rate.

Then to make it revenue nuetral he will elminate or cut deductions and credits so that same amount of tax dollars are collected.

Depends on how you feel about anarchy and people coming from the cities and urban areas and homesteading on peoples property in country.

No it does not.
I said "current structure" of government. I did not say complete loss of government functions.

So no one in government is getting paid, what structure do you think will survive?

WHO?
Answer THAT question, and YOU provide YOUR own reply.
The money printing needs to stop. People believe itís inflation which have forced so many of our goods to soar in price. The reality is the dollar has been devalued by the money printing. We need to balance our trade with other nations. They donít want our goods, fine we wonít buy theirs. America produces fine quality goods contrary to what many people believe.

We need to raise taxes and cut spending. Military spending must be cut by at least 20%. Not a popular idea but Iím sure we could maintain our current military by making it more efficient. So much money is wasted.

Social spending, left to me I would cut it by 75%. Education spending needs to be cut as well. We spend more money per student than any other industrialized nation yet we yield some of the worst results. Weíre providing more than enough funding for education. Maybe the problem is with the people doing the educating? They scream every time their wages are tied to performance. That does work in the private sector. Most sales jobs have income tied to performance. Gee, itís not fair say the liberals. Itís not Johnnyís fault he canít sell anything. We should reward him anyway. Bullshit.

Finally, we need to completely discontinue sending aid to countries that donít like us. Why are we sending money to Egypt, Libya and others?

To answer yours....the Mint would print the money. Your question should be, what is that money backed by? Me personally...I believe we need to go back on the gold standard.
Agreed, except for one problem. We donít have enough gold to do that.

What would you replace the 75% cut with? You willing to let people die on your street for your kids to see on the way to school? If you don't think it happens you don't know why we have social spending.

Schools - Back out what is spent on bussing and mandatory testing by state along with lunch programs. Do a country to country comparison on an apples to apples basis. Most European school systems don't provide bus service except for field trips.

That is something else, back out the sports programs.

I agree on military spending, we are ending two wars and spend more than the next 10 countries combined. Spending should go down a lot just from the reduced costs of a force at home.

I agree with raising taxes.

I don't question cutting social spending some, it was the 75% percent.

NO, it IS NOT!
You've been deceived by that line of reasoning which states that 'in order to do something, everyone must pay.'
If the ONLY people using something, are the ONLY one's paying for that (a user fee), then would not the only person's affected by that fee, be the one's paying that fee?
Look: DO YOU pay a fee for EVERYONE ELSE using a 'turnpike' fee?
Wouldn't YOU complain if YOU were charged for EVERY vehicle which used that turnpike, even though YOU NEVER used said turnpike?

And the INTERNATIONAL BANKERS!
Tell me: WHAT FEDERAL TAX was needed, or authorized, prior to 1913?

Regardless of what you say, there is no way to just stop collecting taxes one day and the country survive.
And you're a fool waiting to happen!
I don't mean that in an unkind way.
See here: IF the U.S. went back to publishing its OWN money, instead of what's happening now, then you and I would not be having this discussion, and there would be NO unemployment, NO homeless, and NO misery, in the U.S.
I don't comprehend WHY YOU don't understand that.
Did you know, that prior to WWII, Japan dispensed with its 'national bank,' i.e., kicked-out the international bankers, and published it's own money?
While the rest of the world was in the financial doldrums (induced by the INTERNATIONAL BANKERS), Japan's economy was going GANG BANGERS!!
That's right: Japan's economy was, for all intents and purposes, taking flight, into the face of the rest of the world's plight.
How could that have been?
Japan took TOTAL control of its money supply, and its treasury made DIRECT loans to its industry, which allowed that nation to excel when all others were dying.
THINK: NOBODY controlled the money supply but the government itself.
It's also one of the reasons why the U.S.(under the auspices of the world bankers) instigated WWII with Japan. Thank FDR for that particular machination!

But there's NO REASON to 'tax' anyone.
